Tito Dutta ji, Namaskar, Good evening, Assalamu alaikum.... thanks for your writing in my talk page. I do really remember all the friends in Bangalore meetup. Its God's gift to meet such finest people, thankful to God. Further, I have taken a pause to telugu wikipedia and started editing Urdu and Hindi (sometimes English too). I cordially welcome your suggestions and if I have any kind of participation in English Wiki kindly tell me. Please write on my English user talk page (or urdu). As Mr. Ravidreams expressed to bring Indian English Wikipedians on a platform, do start FB page English User group. I too suggested the same in Mr.Ayyakkannu's fb page. Finally Urdu Wikipedia India user group community page has been started, please visit and give your wise and valuable suggestions. Regarding the IEG proposal, suggest me and write to my mail : ahmadnisarsayeedi@yahoo.co.in - Thanks once again. అహ్మద్ నిసార్ (talk) 12:50, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

Noticed your lack-of-motivation notice a couple sections up, so hey, maybe a cupcake will help :) Been seeing you around a lot lately, keep up the great work! ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 07:39, 24 October 2014 (UTC) |

Not spam
My edit was not spam. Know why? Because spam is a advertisement by individuals or companies who make praising comments about their websites or products on the internet discussions. Stop being an ignorant. MythoEditor (talk) 07:29, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, it was "junk" or what I wrote at the talk page "serious BLP violation/vandalism." Now go away from here. --Tito☸Dutta 07:34, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
Dear MythoEditor, I would like to congratulate you for knowing so many Hindustani slangs. You have done a great job! But I would also like you to brush up your English vocabulary. Any irrelevant or unsolicited message is known as a spam. And for your precious little information I would like you to know that haramzadi meaning bastard and chutiya meaning cunt and other inputs to articles such as "...organisation that spreads hatred against non-Hindu Indians and preaches Hindu supremacy" is spam. Thank you so much for editing the article and disgracing Wikipedia by your asinine edits but if you do it again the only thing that will happen is that you may be blocked. Thank you so much Sir! rename article
I don't know what Chak No 319WB(CHUCK CHAUDHARIAN) should be named... Chak No 319 or Chuck Chaudharian. Could you move it to the proper spot. Bgwhite (talk) 07:30, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- Namaste, @Bgwhite:, it seems it is located in Pakistan, and not India. You mays ask at Pakistan noticeboard or any Pakistan user. If you want, I may move it to Chak Chaudharian for now, as the article begins with— "Chak Chaudharian is a village in Tensile Dunyapur District Lodhran. . ." Regards. --Tito☸Dutta 07:37, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- Well, I guess this is a job for Assassin. I know there is a joke somewhere here... An Indian, Pakastani and American walk into a bar.... Bgwhite (talk) 07:42, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- I'll not finish the joke you should do it Bgwhite, I'm not good in finishing jokes. But though I'll tell how to finish the renaming discussion. Just move it to Chak Chaudharian (actual name of village) without leaving redirect as Tito said, then make a redirect of Chak No 319 WB (District Government given numbers to villages) to the article. All settle. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 10:16, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
WMF
Hi! I got a T-shirt from them over the summer! Was there something that was supposed to come to be in October? WhisperToMe (talk) 12:40, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hell yes, a reception or something like that. This is so disappointing. Have you got anything from them? --Tito☸Dutta 12:49, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
- I didn't hear about this proposal. Anyway... That was a sweet idea! Thanks for suggesting it! Anyway, I'm not in the United States at the moment. If you are interested in making alternate arrangements we can talk about it. WhisperToMe (talk) 15:10, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
- The main point is — Wikimedia did not do anything, they need to do.
Where are you living now? Do you have a passport and visa to return to US? --Tito☸Dutta 15:16, 28 October 2014 (UTC) - And, by any chance, can you come to India? We may suggest our chapter then. (actually, I don't have passport, I can attend your reception only if it happens in India). --Tito☸Dutta 15:25, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
- I don't know if I can make it to India right now. Currently I am located in Mainland China for work reasons. I will be in China for the rest of the year. WhisperToMe (talk) 05:52, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

SUCI vs SUCI(C)
Hi. Please note that the name "Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist)" was adopted in November 2009, all mentions of the party 1948-2009 should be just "SUCI". --Soman (talk) 20:07, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

Article on NIRANJANA
Hi, CIS-A2K and Kannada Wikimedia community collaboratively got 55 works of Niranjana relicensed under CC-BY-SA 4.0. However, I have realized that no article exists on EN WP on such a prominent Indian writer. Here is the link to the article on Niranja on Kannada Wikipedia. Please help create his article on EN WP. Thanks!--Vishnu (talk) 07:08, 2 November 2014 (UTC)

- I am facing difficulties with subject's notability. The Kannada articles does not have sources. Two or better three details discussion or coverage on him in reliable sources are required. --Tito☸Dutta 07:28, 2 November 2014 (UTC)

- A more important question is, if I create an article on Mövenpick Span & Hotel, Bangalore will the hotel management give me a three-days' free stay in their hotel as a gratitude? Could you please call them and ask? (most probably it was a joke, but I am not sure ) --Tito☸Dutta 08:49, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
- Or, one more suggestion, next time when we'll organize Indian seminar, we'll inform hotel management, if you give us 80% discount, we'll write a Featured/Good article on Wikipedia on your htel. He He He. (most probably it was also a joke, but here too I am not sure --Tito☸Dutta 08:57, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
RTI
Hey Tito, that RTI query was not very helpful. I had informed it here. Regarding retirement, I am overwhelmed with RL. I am a bit active on few social networks but thats it. Regarding RTI, you can file it online if you want info from some central govt departments. I am not sure how many state govt depts have the online facility (there is no such facility atleast in the state where I live), for that you need to visit the post office. Also getting info is not that easy, sometimes your RTI can be rejected stating that the information sought serves no public interest. System is lot more f**ked up than we presume .-sarvajna (talk) 19:05, 2 November 2014 (UTC)

Tito and Assassin, article is on an Indian Muslim person. I'm totally lost on this article. To my untrained eye, it appears not to be notable. Could you take a look at it? Bgwhite (talk) 01:12, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- Actually it's notable. Only needs a lot of work to do, just tag it for some improvements. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 10:45, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- Ah, thank you. I added clean-up tag thhis morning, User:Captain Assassin!, do you think the current article title with "Hazrat" is okay as we use only Muhammad and not Hazrat Muhammad? --Tito☸Dutta 10:48, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- No "Hazrat", it should be only Khwaja Habib Ali Shah. We don't use Hazrat at Wiki, it's just a "respected word" to call the person. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 10:53, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

What should be done?
Hi Tito, please go through the history of Dimpy Ganguly and Dimpy Mahajan. This is for your information and necessary action as soon as possible :) Thanks for your contributions to WM projects.--Mrutyunjaya Kar (talk) 14:50, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- @MKar:, looks like they have restarted the article from redirect. What exactly should I see there? --Tito☸Dutta 15:00, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- As on 4 May, 2012 Dimpy Ganguly was a stub article with an image, 4 Refs. and 5 Ext. links. now it has none. After a RFD of Dimpy Mahajan edit war was going on between two editors. Now what to do IDK :( --Mrutyunjaya Kar (talk) 15:13, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

Vivekananda
As you know, Vivekananda has been moved to Swami Vivekananda. I'm willing to start a thread at Wikipedia talk:Naming_conventions_(Indic) so that we can mention about this article here as an example of exceptions when "Swami" can be added to article's title. But before I start a thread I want to know your opinion on this. Thanks, Jim Carter 15:07, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
- I did not have any such planning, you may do. --Tito☸Dutta 15:12, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Bladesmulti: pinging Blades for more input. Thanks! Jim Carter 05:43, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
- It depends, how they have been referred by academics and writers. Swami Brahmananda couldn't be moved, but Swami Shivananda was moved. Some would consider Sri of Sri Aurobindo to be honorific. Swami Vivekananda was actually his common name, the move was easy. Will need to look about others. Bladesmulti (talk) 06:01, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
