RE: FAC

I'm not sure if I can comment, support or not, since I contributed to the article with one of the copy-edits. If you havent already, you could try soliciting random users from the article's associated WikiProjects, like R&B/soul or WP:SONGS. Tomcat7 and BrothaTimothy are experienced editors who've reviewed R&B articles before for FA, for instance. Dan56 (talk) 03:23, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Re:Cry Me a River

Hey. I put my two cents in the featured article discussion. It definitely has a very good chance of being a featured article. Good work. BrothaTimothy (talk · contribs) 14:39, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Brunomars-natalie.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Brunomars-natalie.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:44, 6 March 2013 (UTC)

New sales source

Hey there! I was wondering if you think this new source (from yesterday) is reliable enough to use as an updated singles figure on the Rihanna page? Given Rolling Stone's reliable and neutral status? We know the current figure of 75 million is extremely conservative given that Billboard confirmed 58 million singles in the US alone (as of late 2012).

The article might also be good to quote from in the new legacy section: "Going by numbers alone, Rihanna is already written into the history books in bold ink." 333cale (talk) 04:35, 6 March 2013 (UTC)

Well the source says 100 million records, which is already in the article [25 million albums and 75 million singles], I don't see a reason for repeating sources. If it said 100 million singles, then it would be different story. Btw, good contribution to the legacy section. Cheers! — Tomíca(T2ME) 08:20, 6 March 2013 (UTC)
Oh, true- I assumed that their "digital sales" was only referencing singles (like Billboard's US numbers). But you're right, it's not explicit in that. And thanks very much! Glad I could help. 333cale (talk) 22:43, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Done. Sorry, I'm still familiarizing myself with reviewing FACs. SnapSnap 18:58, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

Thanks.

Thank you for efforts to preseve the integrity of wikipediea. In the subject of Pon de Replay I believe you have made an innocent mistake. User:Causeandedit is an editor dedicated to promoting Jonathan Hay releated subjects. See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#Jonathan Hay (publicist) and WP:ANI#Turning Wikipedia into Spamapedia. Please reconsider your reversion of my edit. duffbeerforme (talk) 14:23, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

I don't understand a thing you just said. I reverted you because you removed sources without a reason. — Tomíca(T2ME) 14:54, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
Which "source"? The one introduced by the spamming editor wp:COIN who is doing his best to spam Jonathan Hay into everything? The editor who is trying to pretend they accidendly mistook United Kingdom for "University of Kentucky" see [1] Jonathan Hay is really important?. See also the COIN and the ANI about that editor. duffbeerforme (talk) 15:22, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
There is a good reason to remove those "sources". Stores are not reliable sources. Wikipedia is not here to provide an avenue for these shops to promote their product. duffbeerforme (talk) 13:31, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
Those are perfectly good sources when it comes to release dates for songs and albums. Otherwise how we gonna do the release chronology. Remove the span thing, but don't take those sources. They are crucial.— Tomíca(T2ME) 13:43, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
They are not. Where is the "reputation for fact-checking and accuracy". nowhere cause they are trying to sell a product. They are not crucial, they are spam. duffbeerforme (talk) 14:07, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Chartbot

I noticed that you reverted Chartbot here. I looked into it, and saw that Billboard has a bit of database corruption, with multiple entries for "Justin Timberlake". I fixed {{BillboardID/J}} to point at the uncorrupted version.

Please, when you see something like this, let me know. If you revert Chartbot, it's just going to make the same mistake the next time unless you tell me.—Kww(talk) 00:36, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Revert of my edit

What is wrong with my edit that just changes the reflink by using the given template? All other charts were added by using the template, but these four not? i cannot understand this. --Ali1610 (talk) 16:56, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Non-sense stuff. — Tomíca(T2ME) 16:53, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Actually, he had a point. We normally don't use commercial links as references. What's so important about having individual release dates for every European country that it warrants a rack of commercial links?—Kww(talk) 17:16, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Do you have time for a GA review?

Hi Tomica. I nominated this article. I worked hard on it and I really want it to become a GA. I saw you already reviewed some music-related GAs, so I'd like to ask you to review it if you got the time. Thanks in advance!--Rod840 (talk) 21:00, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

Red Tour Setlist

I see you reverted the Red Tour setlist back to the old revision. I changed it to what is correct, what is there now is wrong. She has not sang Fifteen or Ours in the concerts, the songs in my edit are correct. See setlists at http://www.setlist.fm/search?query=tour:%28Red+Tour%29&artist=3bd6bc5c or Youtube videos proving it. 131.151.186.123 (talk) 20:02, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

That's unreliable source. I am afraid I will have to revert again. — Tomíca(T2ME) 20:07, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
I also agree that it doesn't need to be updated for every song. But I see that the songs there right now are incorrect. The source cited there is an unreliable source, they are wrong. Perhaps put "Taylor's Choice" or "Alternate Song" or something like that? 99.13.112.205 (talk) 16:28, 23 March 2013 (UTC)
LMAO. How is a published magazine an unreliable source?  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 02:32, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
Because it's on their blog, and it's wrong! 131.151.186.123 (talk) 04:27, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
It isn't wrong.  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 04:34, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
