editDisambiguation link notification for January 15
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited American-led intervention in the Syrian Civil War, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Douma (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

editThis is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at Talk:Qasem Soleimani, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. These edits: 1 2 3 4 5 EvergreenFir (talk) 20:53, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
- Let me add that it appears you are using the phrase "qat chewer" as a disparaging term for a user because (s)he is Yemeni. Personal attacks based on nationality are not acceptable. EvergreenFir (talk) 20:56, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
@EvergreenFir: You removed my comments calling him rude and liar, meanwhile you kept all his lame writings regarding mental capabilities! You can tell that I am not the only one having issues with him. Did you warn him as well? Or you would simply let him get away with it! UniSail2 (talk) 21:38, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
- It was not WP:CIVIL, but compared to abuse you were given him/her, the incivility is not surprising. Your behavior was much more egregious. EvergreenFir (talk) 22:10, 21 January 2020 (UTC)

editAn editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Jamal ad-Din Abu al-Mahasin Yusuf. Since you had some involvement with the Jamal ad-Din Abu al-Mahasin Yusuf redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you wish to do so. signed, Rosguill talk 15:15, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
Please stop direct conversation with that user
editI was wondering if you'd mind stopping any direct conversation with SharabSalam and taking part in the RfC instead. Please do not answer to any of his comments, verbal attacks are not going to fix anything. Regards MS 会話 13:21, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

Block 2

On further consideration, I've modified the block to an indefinite duration. Simply put, bigotry of any kind cannot be tolerated on the project. El_C 15:38, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:
I do not think that an indefinite block is fair at all. I have been here since last summer and contributed dearly here without any previous conflict with other editors. My problem with that Yemeni editor was on the talk page of an article "Qassem Soleimani", I should have waited until the protection of the page ended before I can simply add my content. The Yemeni editor was questioning the validity of three source by simply claiming that he could not here the audio in the videos of the refs. Therefore, I was simply making fun of the fact that he might have perceiving issues. The admin who blocked me did not even recognize the fact that the other user was having problems with other editors on the same talk page of the same article; moreover, the others editors were telling me to wait then add my edits later, but I did not want an edit war with that Yemeni editor. This block is made by one admin who only dislikes "bigot" people, regardless of my contributions which are more than 4000 ! However, I recognize that you do not want conflict among editors, ironically I was trying to avoid that by discussing my edits on the talk page, but persistent lies written by the editor, brought me no choice but questioning his biasedness, which was also noted by other editors. I hope that my problem with this particular editor won't cause my account to be banned forever. When I was blocked for two weeks, I did not ask to unblock because I was telling that might be to hinder me from dealing with the editor, but indefinite block is a very harsh decision. I promise to avoid personal conflicts with other editors especially the ones who seem to have issues with others as well. Please reconsider my indefinite block based on my contribution history, not issues with a certain editor. Regards. UniSail2 (talk) 18:11, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
Decline reason:
There's nothing here justifying lifting the block. Your comments have indeed been bigoted and there's no place for comments like this. You provide no reason to believe your actions would be completely different if unblocked and spend too much time talking about other people's actions. WP:GAB will help you craft an acceptable unblock request. Yamla (talk) 18:48, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
I did not have any problem with any other editor until recently, I have more than 4000 edits in 6 months. I promise not to do personal attacks even though I was trying to evade edit wars. An indefinite block is not fair at all. I received lots of thanks from my previous edits, I agreed with the editors to avoid writing certain editors but one admin decided to block me as he wrote "middle eastern mentality, really". I did not mean it as a racist slur, but a reference to stubbornness, so do I deserve to be blocked for that ? One incident should not cast out all the months of editing here !
