February 2021
editHello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Counts of Limburg Hohenlimburg and Broich, from its old location at User:VanlmugH/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Nathan2055talk - contribs 21:48, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

Cerebellum (talk) 10:58, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Willem II and Herndrik I counts of Limburg Hohenlimburg Broich
editDear Moderator I am sorry. I made a typing error in Lemma heading. Herndrik must be Hendrik VanlmugH (talk) 19:43, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
Hi there, is this a translated article from another Wikipedia project? If so, you have to attribute the original you're translating from. You can do so with this template for the talk page: Template:Translated page. By the way, do you know about WP:BABEL? You can use these userboxes for signalling, to other editors, what languages you are capable in. -- asilvering (talk) 01:43, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
Cut-and-paste move
editHi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Willem II and Herndrik I counts of Limburg Hohenlimburg Broich a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Willem II and Hendrik I counts of Limburg Hohenlimburg Broich. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 03:53, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Fram (talk) 16:16, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- Dear Fram
- Indeed: The bibliography is limited but can still be supplemented. More references to authentic sources (certificates, deeds) can also be added. Unfortunately, I made a mistake in reference (inline citation) [2]. The book EAN 9789490258184 (2018) is (possibly due to rectification) no longer available in bookshops. It is certain that the persons in question were neither day laborers nor bastards. The word "swindlers" did not belong to their vocabulary and therefore does not appear in their surviving sources.
- My proposal is:
- Supplementing the Literature
- More source references to include
- To delete (inline citation) reference [2] entirely. VanlmugH (talk) 23:09, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
- Certificates, deeds, ... are primary sources which do nothing to establish notability of the subject (and should be used very sparingly in general, please see WP:OR). Articles should be based on reliable, independent, secondary sources, things like book (chapters) about the person written by recognised experts, published by established publishers (not someone publishing his own research through a publish-on-demand channel or so). If you can't provide these, the article is very likely to be redirected or deleted. Fram (talk) 08:38, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Categories you are adding: House of Limburg, Counts of Limburg, House of Limburg Styrum
editHello. I am concerned about how the above-mentioned categories are being used. There seem to be different families being confused, and different places named Limburg. If I understand correctly you are also aiming for each such profile to be in the same sets of overlapping categories, so you are not thinking about the hierarchical structures of those. These categories are also being added to people who don't seem to have any real connection to any of them, such as [[Erenfried II]] (which I have taken out of these categories). Have you got any experience with categories on Wikipedia? Perhaps you should ask around for some advice on this. Otherwise the situation could get quite confusing.
