Hat trick
Hi, this is to tell u that Parasakthi has passed its GA review. Also, it is my third consecutive GA nomination after Karnan and Thuppakki. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:22, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
- Congrats :) Wish to see more old Tamil movies attain GA status. —Vensatry (Ping me) 04:55, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
- For my next "wannabe GA" Chandralekha (1948 film), there were some issues that you noted. As most of them have been solved, are there anymore issues you forgot to mention? After that, GA nomination is the next step. ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 04:16, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
- You're yet to address many issues. —Vensatry (Ping me) 06:11, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
- I asked a question in the PR, whether the film's official DVD can be used as a source for the soundtrack? Saddest thing is, I don't know who the singers are. Kailash29792 (talk) 14:36, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
- I've already left an answer for that in the page. I'm not an expert in film related articles, so better ask someone like Blofeld. —Vensatry (Ping me) 15:05, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

Kudos on the great job you are doing with Trichy article. And all my best wishes on your effort. My Wiki-journey is almost over and as of now, I have no intentions of being active again. - Glad to hear someone willing to work on a decade-old Tamil film. Though it looks okay, there are some minor issues relating to sourcing and puffery. Let's wait for the reviewer's call; I'll edit the article now and then. —Vensatry (Ping me) 02:55, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

I saw you had reverted my edit. As per Template:Infobox_person, nationality should only be used if it cannot be inferred from the birthplace. Although she did not have successful marriage with Ramanan, I think its worth linking him in infobox. Evano1van(எவனோ ஓருவன்) 10:49, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

- As I was working on Gemini, few references claim it to be the 162nd film produced by AVM. The template count revealed it to appear at number #158. Any idea about the remaining? -- Sriram Vikram (talk) 16:29, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

- A surprise indeed! Infact, I'm too keen to take this to the DYK rather than FLC. Your version looks much better :) —Vensatry (Ping me) 13:10, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
- If you want, we can work on merging the two versions; I think there are definitely some aspects of your second two paragraphs that are better than mine, and the combined version should go through DYK and FLC with some ease. Harrias talk 13:13, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

- I've tried to merge the two versions together as best as I can; take a look at the list now, and let me know what you think. It was quite difficult not to just add everything from both, and end up with a mammoth lead! Harrias talk 14:43, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
- Good job! Shall we proceed with the DYK nom? —Vensatry (Ping me) 15:02, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
- I undid the edit you made about the ALT text, and provided a link to the MOS explaining why. Have a read of that section, and let me know what you think. From my interpretation, it means we don't have to explain exactly how the image looks unless the image is there to illustrate his appearance. As in this case it is there just to illustrate him, I think it is simply appropriate to put his name. But let me know if you think I'm wrong: I'm open to disagreement!
- Yeah, shoot on with the DYK nom; I can't think of anything especially interesting or exciting, so if you can suggest something feel free to just open a nomination and put me in as author2. If there isn't anything up by this evening, I'll have a crack at it. Harrias talk 15:09, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
- I'll work on the DYK. On the alt text, I think it shouldn't just be the name of the subject since it's quite obvious that the article is about him. This definitely does not fall under example #1 given in the guideline. —Vensatry (Ping me) 15:16, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
- That makes sense; I've expanded it in what should hopefully be a more useful description? Harrias talk 15:20, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

Moodu Pani
Hi, I have a two-book encyclopedia named "The Best of Tamil Cinema", written by G. Dhananjayan. The second of the two books states that Balu Mahendra dubbed for Prathap Pothan in Moodu Pani, (pg. 45) so I used it as a source. But Dhananjayan has made many minor misleading facts in both the books, and this may be just one of them. Since we cannot prove whether most of the facts are true, (maybe until I email him about the mistakes) we can only stick to what the book says. Kailash29792 (talk) 09:26, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- Even am not sure. In the scene where Pratap speaks over phone to fix an appointment with a psychiatrist, resembles Balu's voice (the dialogues are in English). But in the very next scene, the conversation between Pratap and N. Viswanathan, the voice is a bit different. —Vensatry (Ping me) 11:14, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

He keeps eradicating the poster I uploaded for Thalapathi, claiming it is fake. He keeps replacing it with this one. Does my image look official, or does his? Who is doing right? Kailash29792 (talk) 05:57, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Translation
Though I can speak and understand Hindi well, reading an understanding formal Hindi is a bit hard for me. Seeing page 33 of the document, I estimate that the beginning of the page reads K Balachandar's Achamillai Achamillai was awarded the Best Tamil film at the 32nd National Film Awards. It also says Rajam Balachandar and V Natarajan won the Rajat Kamal (Silver Lotus) and ₹10,000 cash, while KB won ₹20,000 cash. The box reads "Praśasti" which means Preface, but I don't think that matters. ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 12:40, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
- Winners receiving Swarna/Rajat Kamal and cash prize would be quite understandable for someone who is familiar with these documents. I wanted to know what it says about the award winners. —Vensatry (Ping me) 16:44, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
- About the Winners: (translated from Hindi)
- Rajam Balachandar: She has been active in the film industry since 1980, and has made films in every South Indian language.
- V Natarajan: Born in 1944, he worked in a post office before entering the film industry. He joined Kavithalai, (the company which made Achamillai Achamillai), when it was being built.
- K Balachandar: "It will take a while to translate this..." ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 05:25, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

Hello Vensatry, I see we both are in touch with India! I was born in India, and I found a great website that needs more Indians (India) to make the website more popular so readers will get to know India more. --Aaqib Waramchoi (talk) 17:56, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
