Speedy deletion nomination of List of power stations in Bahrain
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on List of power stations in Bahrain requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Dewritech (talk) 22:05, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- Commenting a year and a half later: It seems to me to be an obviously valid topic, so it was unfortunate that it was nominated for Speedy Deletion. And it apparently was deleted, although it was recreated later, because the article's history does not include your contributions. Sorry that your contributions were lost and that you don't have credit in the history. But at least the list-article is there now. Cheers, --doncram 19:40, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Private Power & Infrastructure Board
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Private Power & Infrastructure Board requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.ppib.gov.pk/indexm.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Red links
editHello Waldorfbp. Thanks for starting Duber Khwar Hydroelectric Plant. I added the brackets around Duber Khwar River and although it is a red link and the article hasn't been created, red links are okay to have in an article. In fact, they are important. There is nothing wrong with having one. Check out this article for more information. If you have any questions, please let me know.--NortyNort (Holla) 22:56, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Renala Khurd Hydropower Plant
editHello Waldorfbp,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Renala Khurd Hydropower Plant for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. J Sahu (ଜ୍ଞାନ) talk 14:01, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Waldorfbp, I took a look at the article and the only thing I thought was promotional at the time was the extended bio on the person behind the project, Ganga Ram. I removed some of the bio as it went a little off topic of the power plant. To avoid those pesky speedy deletion tags in the future you can always create an article in your sandbox first then move it into the article space when done. If you ever need any help, please let me know!--NortyNort (Holla) 20:24, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
Article format
editThanks for making a bunch of HPP articles! I see you are relatively new here. Your edits are appreciated but I just wanted to help you out in the future with your articles. I see you are using the same 'template' with them. Some of the categories you use don't apply and there are some basic text and references formatting that is standard. Please see my changes here for an example. If you ever need any help let me. I am not trying to come down on you. Articles are a learning process. Thanks!--NortyNort (Holla) 20:37, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
- Please start over fresh or double check the 'template' you use when making articles. I have been helping clean-up your new articles and they have the same mistakes, ie a proposed dam should not have "Category:Dams completed in 1963" since it has not been built. Rather, it should have "Category:Proposed dams". If you have any questions, please ask. You can always look at my edits as well.--NortyNort (Holla) 23:06, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
Duplicate articles
editHello, the article you made, Hingol Hydroelectric Dam, was already created as Hingol Dam. I have requested that Hingol Hydroelectric Dam be merged into Hingol Dam. Discussion here.--NortyNort (Holla) 23:09, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Guddu Thermal Station
editHello Waldorfbp,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Guddu Thermal Station for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Please slow down, take more care, and respond to suggestions being made to you.
editFor example, you are working on Papin Dam, yet you are copying some template carelessly. Note that you refer to "flood waters of Pelar River", which was in Pelar Hydroelectric Dam. The Papin dam is on Wadala Kas. Much of the material appears to be copy pasted from the government brochures, this is not acceptable. I don't see any sign you are responding to messages placed on your talk page, I am deleting your current article, partly because it appears to violate copyright, partly to see if it will get your attention.--S Philbrick(Talk) 12:44, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
- The below articles are in whole or at least partially copyright violations. I either tagged them or restored older versions. Please understand that you cannot copy and paste text from most sources into Wikipedia as most sources are protected by copyright. It is a serious violation of Wikipedia rules and copyright law. Use original thought and if you have questions ask myself or see Wikipedia:Copyright violations for info.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Metrobus Islamabad.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Metrobus Islamabad.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —innotata 07:42, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

editPlease refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at List of mosques in the United States. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. calling my revert (to remove what is essentially a directory) Vandalism, when it is not is deceptive in the least. --Peaceworld 20:23, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
- After Peaceworld111 pinged me with a neutral notice, I went to the List of mosques in the United States article, saw those edits, and came to the same conclusion: your edits were making frivolous accusations of vandalism, those are severely bad actions, and actions like that should lead to an editor being blocked permanently from Wikipedia. Further, now I see you label my edit to be "vandalism" too. Depending on how this goes now, I may seek further administrative action.
- It looks like a token, minimalist edit, but thanks, nonetheless for your edit at the Talk page. Please see my response there and please reply, about the first two Alabama ones, to start with.
- Waldorfbp, if you would look at the AFD about this list-article (linked from its Talk page), and the history of the article, and the Talk page, you will see that I am a supporter of the article and its appropriate expansion. I defended it being kept. I have spent time editing it to address the problems discussed in the AFD. I have spent time developing mosque articles linked from it, and adding items to it. I would welcome some cooperation and would be encouraged to keep going at it myself, if you would cooperate constructively. You could show some goodwill here by reverting your own last edits and restoring the list-article to the shorter list of verified valid items. Then I would be happy to work together to add new, properly supported items. I hope you are serious in wanting to build legitimate coverage about mosques in the United States and will follow this path. sincerely, --doncram 16:37, 8 October 2015 (UTC)
Userpage Copy???
editHi!
I see that you have taken a real liking to my userpage, perhaps even copying my userpage & userboxes nearly word-for-word... you might have run across my username -> userpage from a few of my edits over on the Mosques of the United States page. May I assume that everything you have on your user page - one that nearly mirrors mine, applies to you in the same :o ??? I'd be curious & interested in getting to know you ;) ! Cheers ^^ ~ Hanyou23 (talk) 03:21, 14 October 2015 (UTC)
Your approach to editing
editYour interest in contributing to Wikipedia is commendable. However, we have certain expectations of editors. For example, if you and another editor disagree about whether something should be included or excluded from an article, you should discuss this. It is not appropriate to simply revert the edit of another editor, and it is most certainly not appropriate to label and edit as vandalism simply because you disagree with their editorial view.
For example you are adding a large number of entries to List of mosques in the United States. While I did not look closely at the edit I didn't see any evidence that you provided any references for your additions to the list. With some rare circumstances this is required. It is quite appropriate for other editors to be removing those massive additions. If you would like to make an argument why these entries should be included please make the argument but do so on the talk page not by simply adding them in as an edit or reverting someone's removal.
It has been suggested that perhaps you should be blocked, if only to get your attention. I am very reluctant to block and would prefer that you open a dialogue either on your talk page or on the talk page of the articles you are editing to discuss the issues.
You are disagreeing with some editors with substantial experience in the area. For example, Doncram has over 100,000 edits to Wikipedia and has substantial expertise regarding historical buildings in the US. That doesn't automatically make him always right on every issue, but I urge you to work with him as he is very interested in improving these articles.
If you open up conversations with the editors on these articles I am confident you will gain an understanding of how to include the information you wish to include. If that happens will have a much better article.
As a start, would you at least acknowledge receiving this message?--S Philbrick(Talk) 18:03, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Wikipedia and copyright
editHello Waldorfbp, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Kulbhushan Yadav has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. The Masked Man of Mega Might (talk) 01:30, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
editHi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:55, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi. I've moved your proposed article to draft space, where you can work on it before resubmitting. It needs to be clear whether you are talking about the exercise in general (in which case, include additional historical information) or the one that takes place in 2019. References also need to be improved. Deb (talk) 11:22, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
