S&M

Hi! In the Britney's singles template, S&M refers to the singles. Is it worth to move S&M to the singles in the her discography?--demistalk 09:16, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

It's already there listed as "Other appearances". Xwomanizerx (talk) 16:18, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

My Only Wish (This Year)

Hey, I'm sorry but I think My Only Wish (This Year) should be deleted, not a GA. There is simple just too little information to form an article about it. I respect your work and think you're a great editor, but this is not a great article. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 00:59, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

... Ok. You can nominate it for deletion if you want to, you know. Xwomanizerx (talk) 01:00, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I am but I just wanted to notify you and see what you think about the article first. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 01:27, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
Actually, MOW passes WP:NSONGS by far. And I had the same problem with "I've Just Begun (Having My Fun)": I nominated it, and it was kept because of WP:GNG. Xwomanizerx (talk) 01:37, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, it does pass it because it charted. But it's really not necessary to have it. There are only two text sections and anything there can be described in the album's page. I also think I've Just Begun (Having My Fun) should be deleted. There's no point for articles like that. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 01:41, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
I agree, but what can you do.... Xwomanizerx (talk) 01:43, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

I'm really happy because it's so different from anything she has ever released. And it's her first non-dance single since... Someday (I Will Understand) (not counting Unusual You ofc). I don't even care if it flops tbh. Xwomanizerx (talk) 21:43, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
Yeah I feel you. Its not a bad song. Well, I'm sure it won't be a smash, considering she won't do any promo for it :( I really wish she would get her ass into gear and be her old self again. She keeps missing out on these huge promotional opportunities (Grammys, AMAs, VMAs, Last Oprah, Billboard (I mean a real performance!)). I just wish she would sow everyone that she still has it. I've been waiting on her for very long now :( I think "DDB" will be a good choice after this, the "IO".--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 06:57, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

Hey

I was wondering if you could help me out with something. I've been working in my sandbox on Ms. Hilary Duff's Most Wanted Tour from scratch, and as I've never really written a tour article before, I'm not really sure what exactly I'm doing. As you've pretty much gotten pretty much of all of Brit's tours to GA, I was just wondering if you could give me some advice, or point me in the proper direction of doing it. Here's the sandbox if you'd like to see. I think I've done a pretty good job so far. It was a major bitch finding all the dates. :L There's a few links on the talk page I also found to create a reception section with. Not sure which are useable though. Thank you! Also, I'd prefer if you responded back on my talk. — Status {talkcontribs  16:30, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

Pretty much both. Seems like I've already bled Google dry. — Status {talkcontribs  16:52, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks! Time to get my music blasting and my Google searchin'. xD — Status {talkcontribs  18:58, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
So, for background, it's pretty much when the tour dates were announced? Link I'm not sure how to word it, or if it should be put in or not, but MTV described the tour in two articles as happening after she filmed two movies back to back, with four to be released. Could I maybe go in detail about what went on since her last tour in background as well? Might give a better insight. I mean, in 2004, she filmed a bunch of movies, toured, and recorded an album, all at the same time. — Status {talkcontribs  19:11, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Oh, okay. :D Imma recycle some stuff from her album article. Also, there's some interviews in this book I have, and I'm finding so much shit for her debut album article. :L SHOOOT ME. — Status {talkcontribs  19:40, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

Re: WTF?

What are you talking about? - Sauloviegas (talk) 00:07, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Oh my God, it does look a lot! I'm actually embarrassed right now, because I didn't even know you were making a sandbox about Blackout... I was just on the hype of editing (I've been editing a lot of articles recently) and I thought, "I think this page needs some work". So I got info from my Sandbox about The Original Doll, from Britney Spears, used some of the info that was already there and started searching all over the internet. Your sandbox looks so much better, do you want me to revert my edits and explain you are working on the article? Or do you want to replace it all later? - Sauloviegas (talk) 00:19, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
Great! Your version is much better, I can't even speak. Sorry if I mislead you. - Sauloviegas (talk) 00:24, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm kind of excited at the thought of new tracks. :D Xwomanizerx (talk) 04:48, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
I'm just glad she's not doing a re-release. She's too good for that shit, SHE'S BRITNEY SPEARS. I hope they are unreleased tracks from her past three albums. I'd love to hear "Tear the Club Up" and maybe some William Orbit or Danja stuff from FF will appear on it. :D All I know is, her next album MUST be produced by Danja, Bloodshy, Orbit and Mark Taylor. Did you hear the rumored original version of And Then We Kiss? I don't know if it's real or not, but it's HOT! — Status {talkcontribs  05:10, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
I think she has cheapened her brand so much this era with the remixes that anything can happen. And also the fact that DR LUKE was one of the main producers of the album disappointed me so much. But I'm looking forward to new music. I love the original version of ATWK and the Sippin On final version though. Xwomanizerx (talk) 05:26, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Sippin On, MY GOD THAT SONG IS AMAZING. I hope she takes this Jive folding opportunity to sign to a new label. — Status {talkcontribs  05:40, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Pretty sure she's already signed to RCA. And I don't think leaving the label would change things much tbh. Xwomanizerx (talk) 05:41, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Well, her label did cancel the masterpiece The Original Doll, and chose not to release songs like "What U Sippin' On" etc. I wish she'd just get control of her life back. She had like no input in Femme Fatale, I want her to do an album her way. — Status {talkcontribs  06:11, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Sorry to butt in, have you guys seen the supposed artwork on Breathe Heavy, it looks pretty terrible! But still new remix album sounds pretty good! --FeuDeJoie (talk) 10:41, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
I freakishly doubt it is real. If it was, it would have been posted on the Japan site. — Status {talkcontribs  14:14, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

This better be bullshit: "Sony Music Australia have today confirmed to us that ‘Inside Out’ has been cancelled and will be pulled from NZ radio in coming weeks, to be replaced with ‘Criminal (Remix)’ internationally. The newly-remixed version of ‘Criminal’ we’re told has a “completely different tempo”, and will serve as the lead single from Britney Spears’ new remix album B In The Mix: Volume 2, out in Australia on September 30. The remix album will feature ‘Criminal’, tracks from Circus and Femme Fatale, and new unreleased tracks. (More info on those coming as soon as we’re allowed to post it and have confirmation!) Criminal’s new version will be serviced to Australian radio on September 12th. The tracklist of B In The Mix Vol 2 is yet to be confirmed. Sony tells us to expect the ‘Criminal’ music video in mid-October." — Status {talkcontribs  03:11, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

No one believes GimmeBritney though, only thing they ever got right was TSC. But if it's true, I'M GONNA POP OFF. Xwomanizerx (talk) 03:18, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
They also released that god awful obviously fake cover. I hope to god it isn't true... But if it is... A burn down Sony Music day will have to come into effect. — Status {talkcontribs  03:22, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
Yep, well Breathe Heavy is saying the same thing, I cannot believe they discarded "Inside Out" in place of "Criminal", and they aren't even keeping the original version. They aren't promoting Femme Fatale very well! "Inside Out" is mine and a lot of other people's favorite Femme Fatale track, but at least they aren't releasing "(Drop Dead) Beautiful".--FeuDeJoie (talk) 12:39, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
IDK how they are saying that "Inside Out" release was cancelled. They announced "Criminal" was to be the next single. Personally, I love "Criminal" and am glad they chose it. The whole remix thing (if true) sounds like they are doing another "Overprotected" and Darkchild Remix. I hope it's not considered the lead single from the remix album though, that is too messy! And they still need to release "Inside Out", "Big Fat Bass" and "He About to Lose Me". — Status {talkcontribs  21:12, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

Re: Brit

I'd love to take part, but I don't feel very comfortable commenting about Hung Medien, as I'm not 100% sure about it myself. I've seen it used as an accepted source on some FL discographies for charts, but they have also uploaded fanmade covers in the past to single releases. I think this goes beyond the Radar / Unusual You issue. I'm still even wondering how the hell Discogs isn't considered a reliable source, even if it contains scans proving a release happened (ala That's Where You Take Me). — Status {talkcontribs  03:52, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

Oh, and I took a break from it to work on the album article. I have so far gotten it to B-class *claps* (so proud of myself for that!). — Status {talkcontribs  03:53, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

No don't worry, it won't. it looks great. As an example, look at The Fame Monster; it has an extra cover because of the issues with the Catholic league. Femme Fatale Tour

Each of my edits to the Femme Fatale Tour article have been explained, in detail, in the edit summaries. You have failed to provide any explanation reverts, mistakenly identifying them as vandalism. Wikipedia policy clearly states that all articles has a "scope", a main focus. The article's subject is a "concert tour by Britney Spears". Thus, any information related to Spears and the tour is notable. It is not notable as to which songs Minaj performs or not. Just because the information is sourced, it is not an indicator of what should appear in the article. Furthermore, you have a tendency to included information based upon fansites or gossip blogs, which is not allowed by Wikipedia. Also, you have sources for broad information withe source is specific. For example, you claimed Destinee and Paris were the opening act for multiple dates but your source only indicated one. The original source you used did not mention the band. Another example for your edits are when you revert a user's edit due to "vandalism" but a few hours later, you will add the exact information, often word for word. One main example is when I edited the article on June 5th as 90% of the article had information from MTV News. I basically took the same information found in different reliable sources. However, you revered the edit because you "felt" MTV was more reliable. If you cared to entered a discussion, you would have begun one back in August. It shows you do not care as you revered several of my edits that contained sources for unsorted materials, etc. without any explanation. I have reverted your edits. In my post, I have added sources for the two new dates in South America and I have moved the information about Minaj performing with West and Drake to the prose, as well as the Spears performing with DJ Pauly. This is the final time I will tolerate you reverting edits with a a clear and reasonable explanation. Next revert will automatically result an in open case with the Administrator's Noticeboard, no questions asked. Itsbydesign (talk) 00:49, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Several people have tried to edit the setlist so its updated from previous shows to not include burning up and he about to lose me. but you revert it back. There are not internet sources, but all of us were at the shows such as charlotte, where those two songs were not performed. Also, don't let me be the last to know was performed before boys. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.40.177.85 (talk) 21:53, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Criminal cover art

The cover art should not be added until an OFFICIAL source, (ie Britney.com, BritneySpears.com, etc) confirms the cover. For things like this, It's best to wait until one is confirmed by an official source. A cover of "I Wanna Go" was posted on idolator (or something) confirming it. The article looked absolutely ridiculous with a fan-made cover has the cover art. In the end, It wasn't the official cover. Nicholas (talk) 20:19, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Not really, the album comes out in like a week lol. And they've always been awful so... Xwomanizerx (talk) 02:54, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
Waiting for a pushback as well, and a brand new track list with 5 new songs. (DREAMINGG) — Status {talkcontribs  10:28, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
I don't understand the problem, would it kill them to have proper covers? Are they sending all the money on the tour? Especially BITM: V2 is pathetic, using that Britney era cover. Oh Xwoma, did ya see Itsbydesign trippin at the talk page of the tour? — Legolas (talk2me) 08:16, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
Jive is pretty much broke, aren't they? And they are folding soon under RCA, so I guess it makes sense for them to come up with something shitty. But come on, it doesn't cost THAT MUCH to get a good cover. — Status {talkcontribs  00:08, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
Confirmed: Jive is over. [4] I don't expect things to get better with RCA tbh. Xwomanizerx (talk) 22:13, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

highlights under development section of circus tour

your source for these does not say that any songs were highlights. This is biased and no it is NOT sourced so leave it off. Also the setlist discussion of development remains incomplete because you won't let me add that two songs were from britney and one from greatest hits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 16:26, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Why can't we still add that two songs were from britney and one from greatest hits? This is also supported by the source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 16:35, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Your Assistance please

Wanted to know your opinion on this first. I was considering submitting a dispute resolution form for our little issue on the Circus Tour page. However, it requires a lot of work and I'm not sure I can do it properly. So I wanted to know if you know any easier ways to end this. I'm tired of reverted that person. --Shadow (talk) 20:10, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

I need your opinion

Hi, so, me and User:Calvin999, are having this conversation regarding wether this site is reliable or not regarding Australian radio releases the site is is Australia’s #1 source for music industry news and information, and has been for 15 years., and im using it in the release history section for Australian radio adds for some articles on wikipedia, i want your opinion wether you think the site is reliable or not?.....he talked with another user, and said that because airplay in australia doesn't count toward sales on the Australian charts, that the Australian radio adds are not needed to be put in the release history, but just because they don't count exclusevly towards the sales on the chart, doesn't mean they cant be mentioned, it's a way to promote the song, people will hear it on the radio and then go buy it on iTunes.....like US radio adds are allowed, this should be to....also, people would know when was the timeframe the label sent it to radio and that is important and notable....68.62.240.86 (talk) 23:13, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Are you kidding me? You went through all of that on my talk page and talking all big, I provide you with proof that it's not reliable, and you can't just accept that? A well respected and very experienced editor has said that it's not reliable, so accept it. 23:17, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi! Why do you think, that http://www.ifpi.fi/tilastot/virallinen-lista/artistit/britney+spears/criminal is forged? It's official site of finnish music charts. Hi Rob! Hope you're doing well. Can you do me a favor? Can you copy-edit Most Wanted (Hilary Duff album) for me? Me and Status looked through it (a lot of times), we couldn't find any issues. But, I'm not sure. It has some issue with it. Listening to "When Your Eyes Say It" at the moment. Looovee Brit to death :) Hey, what do you think of her debut album and Oops!? I love the latter and I listen to it everyday :) Novice7 (talk) 15:49, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Femme Fatale DVD

Okay cool, I'm a huge Madonna fan as well and I like the way that article is set out, so I completely get your vision. Very excited for it to come to fruition. Are you going to start it in the sandbox and then publish it? Maybe that's a good way to build it; just a suggestion. Looking forward to working with you :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mirrored Love (talkcontribs) 22:38, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

"Till the World Ends"

Hey Rob! I don't know if you've already seen this or not: Melanie C's Yeh Yeh Yeh. The interesting thing is, Brit's "Till the World Ends" video has parts similar to "Yeh Yeh Yeh" :) Novice7 (talk) 16:49, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

LOL Beyonce never really gets called out outside of the Internet tbh. I can see similarities to "I'm a Slave 4 U". Xwomanizerx (talk) 19:27, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

Just a question

On the Femme Fatale Tour page, in the set-list, it says that 'Boys' is before 'Don't let Me be The Last to Know'. But seeing as that order has been changed, do you think it would be more suitable to put the set-list as 19 tracks and then liner notes in regards to 'He About to Lose Me' and 'Burning Up'? Just a suggestion :) Mirrored Love (talk) 06:18, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

WP:RS. If you find reliable sources to support the change in the setlist let me know. Xwomanizerx (talk) 06:40, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Okay, I'll have a look, but even you know that when the set-list was confirmed the changes had not occurred. Can a primary resource, like a YouTube video count?; probably not. :) Mirrored Love (talk) 09:32, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

No, it has to be a news source. Xwomanizerx (talk) 17:31, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

November 2011

Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Femme Fatale Tour, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you to seek consensus for certain edits. All video interludes are sourced in the articles. Just because it's not mentioned in a list, doesn't mean they are (1) not mentioned in the article and (2) not a part of the tour. It is not up to you when to decide when information is to be included or not. You have a prolonged history of reverting edits and removing information that is not agreeable with your terms. Your edits allude to ownership of the aforementioned article. If this behavior continues, this will be brought to the attention of the administrators' noticeboards.Itsbydesign (talk) 00:25, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

What does this issue have to do with the article? This isn't a concern over the article, it's your edits. You have a history of running behind an editor to "clean up" their edits. You have removed sourced material, claiming it wasn't sourced and you've removed items saying it's too soon to include it or the information is not widespread. You've done this not only with the Femme Fatale Tour but also other Spears-related articles. Checking for accuracy is one thing, blindly correctly or removing contributions is another. The radio review, Arizona Republic review and LA Times review all mention the video interludes. No, it's not in a list but it is provided in the prose of the article. How is that information unsourced when it was pulled from three article already within the article? I didn't pull these out of the air.Itsbydesign (talk) 00:51, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Nekci Menij Show, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Audacity (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The Nekci Minej Show

I'm aware. It's definitely copyrighted by David. I never tried to pass it off as a freely usable image, but I did provide what I believe is a sufficient fair-use rationale on the image's description page: File:Medoner.JPG. It would be better to have him release an image into the public domain or at least a CC-BY-SA 3.0, but it's not necessary given that sufficient fair use rationale has been provided. --Thevampireashlee (talk) 15:13, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

As far as the WikiProjects go: I only knew about Madonna's WikiProject, which is why it was the only one added. Nicki Minaj (perhaps the most notable one) does not have a WikiProject yet (I would know, I significantly contributed to the article and helped it reach Good status). At any rate, I'm not pressed about the article being included in those projects, but I don't see the harm. The article parodies them and largely centers around their careers and lives, so it's definitely relevant to them. --Thevampireashlee (talk) 15:16, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

You should probably be aware of this. You'd think the person who nominated it for deletion would be nice enough to do so, but I guess I have to myself. Statυs (talk) 23:40, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Dream Within a Dream Tour Poster.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Dream Within a Dream Tour Poster.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Oops World Tour Poster.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Oops World Tour Poster.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F10 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file that is not an image, sound file or video clip (e.g. a Word document or PDF file) that has no encyclopedic use.
