I am not a Spouse to Eric Bauza

edit

It says I am a spouse to Eric Bauza. This is not true. We dated but are no longer. Please adjust. Here is his page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Bauza thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:141D:4211:BD1A:DB:418C:68D5 (talk) 03:57, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The personal details in the infobox relating to marriage and children appear to be unsourced (and there is no 'personal life section in the article). I have removed them. Eagleash (talk) 04:26, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Seeking help with Rhea_Moss-Christian

edit

Rhea_Moss-Christian (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

Am having trouble with two edits:

1. Formatting the photo into the Infobox (as opposed to above it, where it now sits).

2. I have added more links as requested by the underlinked template but cannot remove the template now that the issue has been resolved.

I would appreciate the help of a more experienced editor.

Thank you

KEAB

KEAB, since this article is about fishing (sort of), I'll teach you how to do it yourself, so you'll be able to do it "forever" in the future (give a man a fish...). On the article page, click the "edit this page" tab. In the editing box that appears, note the "Infobox person" words. Below that, note the "image" parameter. Now, near the top of the edit box, use ur mouse to highlight the name of the photo image, "File:Rhea Moss-Christian.jpg". Cut only those words from that location and paste it to the right of the = sign for the "image" parameter. Delete the leftover unneeded words and symbols: [[ |thumb|Rhea Moss Christian]]. At the very top of the edit box, delete "Underlinked|date=March 2017", including the curly braces {{}}. Ask here again (or send me a Talk message) if you have any problems. @197.251.134.204: It is a very new page (only one day old). Google may not 'index' the page immediately. Wiki has no control over how or what Google displays. Eagleash (talk) 12:32, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Correct. The page in question was just created on March 16, 2017. In some cases, it has been known to take several days and even weeks for an article to show up in Google's search engine due to backlog and importance of subject matter. (On a separate note) I noticed that the subject goes by the pseudonym: DKB but the article is only found under the full name: Derick Kobina Bonney. You may wish to link through a disambiguation: [1] just to cover all the bases; especially if fans know him as DKB. Maineartists (talk) 12:42, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  Done (disamb). Eagleash (talk) 12:46, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Google won't try to index this page yet. Newly created pages are WP:NOINDEXed until they have been patrolled by someone with the "new page patrol" user right. There are currently 16000 pages waiting at Special:NewPagesFeed, and a backlog of four and half months. (It has been said, however, that the NOINDEX will be removed after 30 days if the page hasn't been patrolled by then.) --David Biddulph (talk) 13:07, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

citations

edit

The article on Rufus Hummingbirds does not mention the migration of the species into the West Coast of Washington State. I cannot provide a citation for that but I can attest from personal experience that a flock of rufous hummingbirds arrived at our home in Ocean Park, WA yesterday, March 15, 2017. They completely emptied three feeders in half a day. It was sunny and they were gloriously beautiful. I read in "Backyard Birds," by Ruth McCausland, Gotham Printing 2011, that this is an annual migration. But this year's arrival in March is two or three months early.

Please help me formulate this information for an edit to the Rufous Hummingbird article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frankhlogan (talkcontribs) 16:24, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia requires references to published reliable sources to include some material, so "personal experience" is never going to be accepted. From what I found by online search, I suspect "Gotham Printing" is a vanity publisher, i.e. Coastal Washington Backyard Birds was not subject to editorial control from the publisher and therefore is not a reliable source either.
You may however drop at note at Wikipedia:WikiProject Birds, folks there might be able to help you better. TigraanClick here to contact me 17:20, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How do I ask for feedback on my my draft?

edit

Hi, I've drafted my first entry and I'm wondering if I can find some good editors to give me kind feedback. I'm not even sure how to share the draft with others.--OfTheSea (talk) 18:30, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You can share the draft with others by giving a link to it, like this: Draft:Samuel Ronan. I've improved the formatting. You need to do some work on the references, so that the numbers in the text actually link to them. Maproom (talk) 18:52, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
OfTheSea, please see Referencing for beginners to help with the references that Maproom mentioned. Also worth noting is that you shouldn't use Wikipedia itself as a reference as you did with your final reference. †dismas†|(talk) 19:53, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

2017-18 NHL season Template

edit

Can You Put The 2017–18 NHL season Template into Draft Space Please. 68.102.39.189 (talk) 21:30, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Hello. While there is no template titled Template:2017–18 NHL season, If you are referring to Template talk:2017–18 NHL season by team, which you seem to have been working upon, I have moved it to Draft:2017–18 NHL season by team. Feel free to ask for any further assistance. Thanks. Lourdes 00:07, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I would be very grateful if someone could make it possible to use the symbols   and   also in enWP. They are used for example in de:Liste der Orte mit Stolpersteinen. Thanks.--Meister und Margarita (talk) 22:02, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
