How to make a Facebook post archive in case the post disappears someday?

There is a Facebook fan page made by Cartoon Network branch in my country, and it has been months since last time it had updates. Some said that something's happening, and I am afraid that the fan page and its posts may be gone someday. I failed to archive the said posts via archive.is or Wayback Machine (especially the latter one, what I can actually save is the login page of Facebook). Is there another way to archive the page? That is the only source I can use to use in some statements I used in certain articles here. - George6VI (talk) 01:46, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

@George6VI: I misunderstood your question. I would avoid using Facebook as a source because it's unreliable. Screenshots can be easily manipulated. Also, as of January 2011, the Internet Archive stopped archiving Facebook pages. If the goal is to report something significant that was posted on Facebook, you'll be better off finding media coverage of the posting, which would work as a source. @Timtempleton: Here's the case. I translated a featured article, Adventure Time, to a Chinese version, and the latter becomes another featured article too. Out of 383 references used, only 34 are in Chinese. Most of the available local news are basically commercials, and the air dates in history are now only can be found in Facebook posts (people don't care dubs). If they can't be used, or they may be gone someday, I don't know what I can add in terms of local info, because even who dubbed Adventure Time can nowhere be found in the range of Internet. Setting different sigfigs on a ranged convert template

I have a convert template like {{convert|20|to|60|cm}} which displays 20 to 60 centimetres (7.9 to 23.6 in). I would like to set the significant figures for the first number to 1 and the for the second number to 2 such that it displays 20 to 60 centimetres (8 to 24 in). Any tricks for doing that? In the news

Dear editors,

Today's reference in "In the news" section to the victory of The Popular Front in the 1936 Spanish general election ("The Popular Front, a coalition of left-wing parties, came to power in the Spanish general election, precipitating the Spanish Civil War five months later") is painfully misleading. Winning a democratic election should not be described as something that triggers or precipitates a civil war per se. The Spanish Civil War was the result of a failed coup d'etat against the government that emerged from that legitimally chosen coalition. If something "precipitated" the Civil War was the coup, not the Popular Front winning the election.

I really hope you can fix that.

Clarification

As per MOS:NICKCRUFT, "foreign language details can make the lead sentence difficult to understand" and should be "avoided". @Babs102020: I moved the yellow template to the top of the draft for better visibility. The category at the bottom of your draft shows it was submitted on 8 January, and the yellow template states "This may take 4 months or more, since drafts are reviewed in no specific order. I have recently made a few edits adjusting the size and prominence of section headers in articles.

At least two of those edits have been redacted by another editor as apparent vandalism, which they certainly were not.

Is there anyway to suggest changes without making them?

So, after reading several articles about formatting on Wikipedia, it seems that some attempts I have made to correct header size within an article were based on correct coding not producing results visible to me.

As a Safari on iPhone user I’d disagree. Tools such as Earwigs copyvio detector, citation bot and afd stats etc are useful on browser. Also user scripts on desktop view. SK2242 (talk) 22:56, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

@BiliousBob: I guess the point is that we generally try not to do ad-hoc HTML formatting in articles, instead relying on the stylesheets defined in the various skins for the types of elements implemented in wikitext (headings, bold, italics, tables, etc.) to give articles a consistent look, accessibility, cross-platform compatibility, etc. If there's something "wrong" with the results, that could probably be brought up at WP:VPT with the details of which article, skin, platform, etc. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 06:43, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

Not significant enough!

Hello I tried to give my contribution in one of the areas. I was not allowed to create the article because, allegedly, the person I wanted to write about is not significant enough. When I listed people with existing articles that are of equal or lesser importance I got the answer that omissions happen. I want to give my contribution by giving you examples of these "omissions" as candidates for deletion. Can we continue to cooperate in this field? Thanks in advance! No. Please read WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Until this policy changes, your approach will be unproductive. If you wish to discuss changes to this policy, but not this specific case, then go to Wikipedia talk:Other stuff exists. After you get consensus to change this policy, you can re-argue your case. The proper way to get your article accepted is to establish the notability if your subject. See WP:N. Nothing else will succeed: see WP:AMOUNT. -Arch dude (talk) 16:29, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

You said you want to give examples of other articles as candidates for deletion. There are 3 approaches to marking articles (and other types of pages) that should be deleted for the attention of admins. Speedy deletion is for obvious junk, like pages that are pure vandalism (something like "Mr. Johnson is a teacher at my school and he's a poopyhead!"). Proposed deletion is for things that are uncontroversial, but don't fit any of the critera for obvious candidates that are listed in the speedy criteria. Then there is Articles for deletion (AFD), which is for articles need some discussion; articles there are subject to a 7 day discussion period, where people opine if they think the article can be salvaged or not, they will look for sources to see if the article meets notability guidelines (as you said above, "significant enough"), try to re-write problematic parts, etc. At the end of 7 days an admin will assess the discussion to see if there is consensus to keep or delete the article, and take appropriate action. Please review the links I just gave you to assess which method of deletion is appropriate for the articles you have in mind, and take the appropriate action. As an IP user, you may encounter difficulties with AFD, since it requires you to create a subpage for the discussion. Viewing Wikipedia with Safari on iPhones

Shouldn’t Wikipedia formatting appear correctly on mobile phones, including iPhones, using Safari?

I checked another browser I have on my iPhone, and the same wrong interpretations of correct Wikipedia coding appear on the Brave browser when viewed in desktop mode (same as in Safari desktop mode).

If you view the Wikipedia page for “calzone” on iPhone using Safari, or the Brave browser, you will see that the header “History” is in a smaller font than it should be, based on the correct Wikipedia coding used.

@BiliousBob: Click the edit link or pencil icon at a section heading to post to an existing discussion. I can now see your issue in the desktop version on an iPhone. After many tests I have made User:PrimeHunter/Small level 2 header issue. It can happen when the horizontal ruler below a level 2 heading (meaning "== Heading ==") is shortened due to content to the right. PrimeHunter (talk) 15:35, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

Editing links

I haven’t tried to do this yet, but as I read about cuisine around the world, there are several links I have seen that go to a country, an area, or a city, but do not connect to the culture or cuisine part of the article.

Seems that more specific connectivity would be better.

@S.A Mixing: If you do have a conflict of interest regarding Draft:Shalev Alon, you must disclose this on your user page - you can do so with {{UserboxCOI}}. The language in your draft is too promotional (e.g. "pursue the passion for music", "another great opportunity", "amazing new songs", "amazing music producers and composers"). I'm going to have to disagree with Tenryuu's suggestion, DRV is not the proper route to go unless you are objection to the deletion process itself. WP:REFUND seems like the appropriate course here, the page can be restored as a draft as opposed to a live article and can be worked on to rectify the sourcing issues identified in the deletion discussion. The Kamala Harris page needs an edit to her nationality. She is not African American/Indian she is Jamaican/Indian as her father was from Jamaica and her mother was from India. SIGCOV or routine?

This Yorkshire Post news article is about a bus enthusiast making a cake modelled on a bus to mark the occasion of company Connexionsbuses scrapping one of their routes. Would this constitute of decent coverage of the bus company or is it just a routine thing? SK2242 (talk) 23:08, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

It's not routine, SK2242 - it's out of the ordinary - but it doesn't contain a significant amount of information about Connexionsbuses. If the baking of the cake is felt to be encyclopaedic (I'm undecided), then this would be a good source for it, but it does nothing for notability of the company. --ColinFine (talk) 00:20, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

Feedback on nominating page for deletion

I tagged a page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WolfSSL) for COI in November, hoping to spur some discussion on the Talk page or action from editors willing and interested enough to revise the page. There has been none, leading me to believe that it should be nominated for deletion, but the lack of dialogue also leads me to be cautious about acting unilaterally.
