Cleanup template for articles that have a References section but no bibliography

edit

Hi,

I found an article that seems to have a very extensive list of abbreviated references, but without a bibliography or any way to immediately know the full names of the sources mentioned. I was certain there was a template for this, but I can't find it. Does anyone know? *EDIT* I think it's more accurate to say notes but no references. TangoFett (talk) 09:48, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@TangoFett Perhaps @User:Maye Fernandez can explain. They moved the article to Mainspace in April this year and it does seem to be well-cited but missing the "sources" section. I think that the explanation is that the article is a translation from one that did have a bibliography. See es:Cultura mixteca. Mike Turnbull (talk) 15:47, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A very extensive bibliography has now been added. Thanks for the alert, TangoFett Mike Turnbull (talk) 14:41, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

References not appearing

edit

Is it just me or is there something odd about 2022 UCI Mountain Bike season where the references template isn't working? If not just me, do I report this as a bug? Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 11:40, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's not just you. The templates appear normal in preview too which is weird. Madeline (part of me) 11:42, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, the page is too long, so they don't render properly, see Category:Pages where post-expand include size is exceeded. Madeline (part of me) 11:44, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Curb Safe Charmer: I have made a fix [1] which works for now. It currently uses 91% of the limit so it may break again when more events are added. PrimeHunter (talk) 15:09, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Curb Safe Charmer: If you want more room than 9% for additions and possible template changes using more resources then the currently 1973 {{flagathlete}} could be replaced with a flag icon linking the country followed by the linked athlete but no country abbreviation. This would reduce 91% to 31% if {{flagg}} is used. Many sports articles only have the linked flag icon, e.g. 2022 ATP Tour. The table would also fit better on narrow screens. I have regex to easily make all the replacements. PrimeHunter (talk) 14:13, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oath Keepers description

edit

The Oath Keepers are a militia and they are strong Constitutionalists. Where’s the source for listing the group as “anti-government”?

Who does the fact checking for your organization?

If you can make this kind of mistake in a simple fact about a militia group, how can you be a trusted source for any information in general? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7080:E935:F19A:F1D4:CCDA:869B:A19 (talk) 22:25, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at Oath Keepers, you'll find two such sources, cited at the end of its first sentence. Maproom (talk) 22:48, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
