NERA Economic Consulting
NERA Economic Consulting is generally considered the top economic consulting firm in the world. It has been ranked as the number 1 firm for economic consulting by Vault.com from 2009-2014 -205.156.160.129 (talk) 22:50, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- NOT DONE It was deleted only as WP:PROD, and could normally have been undeleted on request, but I consider it subject to speedy deletion as hopelessly promotional .
- As for notability, I see from the article it is "one of the three entities of Oliver Wyman Group, which is a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies," It probably is notable , but it needs proof of this, but our usual method: references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. There were no such references: merely the ranking from a career intelligence web site, and its own wen page.
- As for promotionalism , the article consists ofa paragraph of description mixed with puffery and unsupported adjectives of praise, a list of the routine services they offer, a list of offices, and a list of competitors. The first paragraph belongs nowhere unless rewritten from scratch, and the 2nd and 3rd belong only on their own website' the list of competitors is repeated in the lede & the text and really belongs as a category--the way it's used is as advertising that this firm is better than they are . Multiple efforts over time to clean up this article have failed, and the only practical course is to start over--by someone without COI. I think it's safe to assume any editor writing arrant puffery has a COI DGG ( talk ) 05:59, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
- Note: article was re-created, and is currently under discussion at AFD. ~Amatulić (talk) 20:23, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

- You must be referring to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/dagay. I see no objection to undoing the G13, but if the draft is restored it should be under a more suitable name such as Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Denes Agay. This composer appears notable. Hypertext Application Language
The page describe a convention for API's XML/JSON documents and is an IETF draft. The promotional flagging is a false claim as the article was referencing the language specification and no mention of a company name was done on the article. Also a similar convention called JSON-LD exists in wikipedia and Drupal project switch from JSON-LD to HAL - - lyhana8 (Talk) 09:00, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- Note: The page was speedily-deleted under criterion G11. Pages deleted under that criterion are generally not undeleted because they require complete rewrites to be viable encyclopedia articles or because they violate our biographical or fair-use policies. A page doesn't have to reference or mention a company to be promotional; glowing language and corporate buzzwords have no place in an article. See WP:Neutral point of view (parent policy) and WP:Other stuff exists. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 09:37, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- The article was a sales pitch addressing the user in the second person, telling them why they should implement HAL in "your API". It was nowhere near an encyclopedic article. QVVERTYVS (hm?) 10:15, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- Not done "Adopting HAL will make your API explorable... will make your API easier to work with and therefore more attractive to client developers" - as Qwertyus says, that's a sales pitch, not an encyclopedia article. An article should be written from a WP:Neutral point of view, and also should show references to "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" to establish WP:Notability. JohnCD (talk) 10:46, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- My bad, being a work in progress I didn't expect a fast deletion. And yes I copy/paste content directly from the spec and didn't notice or remove the commercial tone. Again after such a short time I find it a bit harsh as I usually call to the community (via twitter) to help complete stubs I create and come back few days later to add info (e.g. ). So IMHO, a request for improvement or a stub banner would be a better compromise than a fast track deletion.
- Is it possible to get access to the content of the article as it was before deletion so I can work on it ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lyhana8 (talk • contribs) 14:26, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- You "copy/paste content directly from the spec"? That's a copyright violation, and a reason for immediate deletion. The bulk of the article seems to be copied. If you want a copy, I suggest you start with your source material. ~Amatulić (talk) 15:40, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- What licensing info do I need to add to the site/spec to make the content viable for re-use on wikipedia? Mike Kelly 16:00, 19 March 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.231.193.164 (talk)
- See WP:Donating copyrighted materials; but that is seldom worth doing because, as in this case, material written for other purposes usually has a promotional tone unsuitable for an encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not a noticeboard for companies to pin up copies of their product literature. JohnCD (talk) 18:31, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- IETF docs are released under a permissive license that might be compatible with the GFDL - but it's probably better to just paraphrase from them than to paste verbatim in any case. Especially if it's unclear if the draft falls under their license and sounds promotional to begin with. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 04:49, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

Principle 6 campaign
Notable topic, did have substantial edits by others (invalid G5) -ViperSnake151 Talk 17:15, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
- Not done. No, there were no substantial edits by others: the four edits by others were (a) removal of a template (promptly reverted), (b) a null edit to fix a redlink, (c) addition of a category and (d) addition of the G5 speedy tag. JohnCD (talk) 17:29, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
The article is about a legit product that is widely known in its domain and has been around for 6+ years. The article itself was 4-5 years old, with multiple contributors updating it. It looks like a targeted speedy deletion for no specific reason, as there are many products in the same area (project management) with less notoriety present on Wikipedia. If something in the article is not correct or has to be edited - that is a different subject, and the community can work on it. But speedy deletion is not a way to deal with old legit articles. -76.182.87.119 (talk) 16:26, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Note: The page was speedily-deleted under criterion G11. Pages deleted under that criterion are generally not undeleted because they require complete rewrites to be viable encyclopedia articles or because they violate our biographical or fair-use policies. A G11 speedy means that the article was clearly promotional and would need a total rewrite to be a viable Wikipedia article. Note that the existence of articles covering similar topics is not a valid reason for inclusion. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:44, 16 March 2014 (UTC)

Codendi (software)
Codendi is a popular project management tool and application lifecycle management tool, similar to redmine, collabnet etc. and as such IMHO requires its own page like others with identical function.
This is needed so that it can be included in the various comparison tables that exist to trade off such tools. Without the page, the tool cannot be compared with others.
I do not understand why this page was deleted and an identical tools like collabnet, redmine etc. were not. If I did understand I would fix it.
Further there is a page on the French wikipedia as https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codendi so why can we not have an english translation of that?
I have no affiliation with Codendi whatsoever. I am an expert in this field, and can provide my credentials on request. -Nrbray (talk) 19:24, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
- Done out of scope for A7, but there is still no claim of importance, and no multiple independent references to show notability. French Wikipedia does not count as a reliable source, and no help for notability. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:05, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

There is no clear way to contact Edgar the admin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Carrboro (talk • contribs) 01:40, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- @Carrboro, Edgar181, Katrinamoris2014: Sure there is. The most direct way is to post to his talk page. Every user has a talk page just like you do, and you've probably noticed that when someone posts there you get a big honking orange light at the top of the page telling you that occurred; Edgar would get the same thing if you posted to his. But you don't need to because I have pinged him at the beginning of this post, just as I've pinged you (which should result in a red notification right next to your name at the top of the page, to draw you here). Anyway, the article was deleted for lack of content and it did technically meet that criterion, although the article was hastily tagged and should not have been. Nevertheless, there is nothing to restore here as the entire content of the article consisted of one external link. But it does looks like a worthy topic as there seems to be plenty of reliable sources from which a verifiable article could be written. So, what I suggest is that you create the article in a sandbox in your user space. I suggest at User:Carrboro/Thomas H. Keating. You have much greater latitude to work on such an article at your leisure while it is in a sandbox. When you are ready, you can submit it for review at Articles for Creation by placing at the top {{subst:submit}}. I suggest before doing any of that you take a tour through the Wikipedia:Tutorial. As a side note, I cannot check because the page is returning an error but a search indicates it may by a copyright violation of the text at the facebook page on this individual, though it could be backwards copying.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 12:35, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Ah, I see you cited the facebook, making it fairly clear it came first. Please note that you may not copy and paste previously written material (except for short quotes, inside of quotation marks) and this would have also been subject to deletion as a copyright violation under section g12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 13:15, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

I created the page Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy to reflect the new name of the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy. The center changed its name earlier this year (2014), and I created the new page based on the old one, moved over the content, and put in a referral tag. While my process for doing the name change was perhaps not ideal, the tagging of the new page for "speedy deletion" was completely inappropriate. The Shorenstein Center is *not* a commercial enterprise, and under its old name was in Wikipedia for many years. The Shorenstein Center is a nonprofit, educational institution that has been part of Harvard University and the Harvard Kennedy School since 1986. It is the foremost center for discussions of the media, press and politics in the United States, and hosts some of the most important figures in politics, academia, and journalism in the world -- current Senator Al Franken is a former fellow, for example. It is the very essence of significant and very much deserves to be in Wikipedia. Thanks in advance for your consideration. I would appreciate this page being restored as soon as possible.
Please note that the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy should be restored as well. It should refer visitors to the center's new page.
- If you wish to change the name of a page, then use the "Move" command at the top of the article. Do not cut and paste the contents into a new article. See Wikipedia:Moving a page for details. I've restored the original article. If you feel the name should be changed, please follow the instructions on that page and feel free to ask me if you need assistance. - Have you read Wikipedia:Autobiographies? Did you know that you shouldn't be writing articles about yourself? - Not done. Then start it at Wikipedia:Articles for creation. Since it was deleted in accordance with WP:CSD#A7 it doesn't qualify for undeletion by request. Besides, it isn't worth restoring. What you wrote is just one line with unacceptable references to Facebook and the company's own web site. Please read WP:CORP carefully to understand the inclusion criteria for companies, and if you think the company is notable for inclusion in Wikipedia, submit your article through Wikipedia:Articles for creation. ~Amatulić (talk) 21:11, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
RGB Networks
We request the restoration of the RGB Networks page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RGB_Networks). The editor "Y" has deleted this page 3 times, each time we have revised the page but received no other comment as to the rationale other than a category. Twice Y deleted the page for "unambiguous advertising or promotion," but we dispute this claim. RGB Networks is a company that is a very important player in broadcast technology. All information on that page, with the exception of the investors and locations of offices, had specific citations from major industry or business news publications; it referred to the Wikipedia pages of all relevant technologies; it referred to the Wikipedia pages of competitors (in one instance when the competitor did not have a page, it referred to the competitor's website directly). The tone of the copy was very non-promotional, particularly when contrasted to each of the competitors' Wikipedia pages to which this page linked. If this page does not conform to Wikipedia content politices, we would like to understand what specific text is in question so that we can amend it and bring the page into compliance. It is patently unfair to exclude one player -- the one with the biggest market share -- in an industry, yet allow all its competitors to have pages. I hope you will help us in fixing problems so that we can bring our page into compliance. -John Sidline 16:48, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Not done... and yet, you created the article solely for publicity purposes. Wikipedia is not a publicity channel, and should never be used as such. Because you have a conflict of interest (read and understand WP:COI carefully, please), you are hardly in any position to dispute that its purpose was promotional, regardless of its tone. This isn't about fairness, it's about behavior.
- Because you have a conflict of interest, your best approach is to submit your article through the Wikipedia:Articles for creation process, and be sure you disclose your conflict of interest on your user page. ~Amatulić (talk) 21:19, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

- Not done. Because the article was deleted in accordance with WP:CSD#A7, it cannot be restored by request here. Furthermore, because you have a clear conflict of interest (see WP:COI and read it carefully), your best approach is to submit your article through the Wikipedia:Articles for creation process where it can be reviewed by a neutral reviewer more familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, for suitability in Wikipedia. ~Amatulić (talk) 21:39, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

Koji Oishi
It was deleted because the fighter did not meet WP:NMMA but ONE FC was recently voted into the list of top tier promotions by consensus meaning that as of now Oishi has fought for the highest title of a top tier MMA organization and fought at least three (3) fights for top tier MMA organizations so he now meets enough of the WP:NMMA criteria to have his own page. -Sadoka74 (talk) 10:56, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Koji Oishi (2nd nomination), it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user The Bushranger (talk · contribs). - Not done. @Richard416282, Tokyogirl79: Even a rant can be effective if it makes persuasive points. You have said not one thing that even arguably addresses the basis for the deletion. We do not keep placeholders for content to be written in the future. Your idea that this is the result of some U.S. bias is wholly in your mind. It's simple. Write a good article, on a notable subject, citing to reliable sources, with actual content, it'll be kept. Also, you can start a draft of an article as a sandpage in your userspace (e.g., at User:Richard416282/Jesse Brown (radio host)), and work on it at your leisure, until you're ready to go live. That's appropriate. Creating live entries in the mainspace with "something will be here" is not.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 11:45, 26 March 2014 (UTC)

- Not done — yet. I have looked at the OTRS ticket, and I find the due diligence to establish identity lacking, particularly for this image. There are three problems with that ticket: (a) a gmail address does not establish identity; (b) the subject of the photo generally does not own the copyright; and (c) a proof of transfer of copyright from the photographer, or a letter identifiably from the photographer has not been received. ~Amatulić (talk) 15:27, 26 March 2014 (UTC)

Notable Buteyko method practitioner (Western school, Ireland), researcher in the field of alternative physical therapy, author of several bestsellers on Buteyko breathing techniques. Books translated to other languages. The sources are about the subject of the article and his research and further development of Buteyko asthma treatment techniques + the books. There is a patent war between Western and 2 Russian schools for the rights to practice Buteyko method, therefore somebody keeps constantly deleting the article and any info about the Western school practitioners. Only one out of 3 schools is currently represented in wikipedia, and 2 other schools are claiming that the Moscow school (represented) is the fake one, which is probably the truth (looks like if you dig deeper into the sources). -sobaka_kachalova 12:26, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
