- Starting with the 1,500 unassessed articles last month, members were able to completely assess all of the articles that were added from the new task forces. Good work to everyone that helped!
- There are currently about fifteen film and film-related articles at WP:GAN waiting to be reviewed. If you have not considerably edited one of the articles, you can review it by following these instructions. The list of articles can be seen here.
- We have now reached over 34,500 film articles that have been assessed by our assessment department! Remember to always add the {{Film|class=}} template to a film article's talk page so the project can get a better idea of what work still needs to be done. Below is a table showing a breakdown of our articles by class and importance.
- Member Erik has created a list of articles of possible Oscar contenders that should be improved. Consider viewing the lists of citations on the talk pages of the articles he has added to determine how they can be incorporated into the article. Let's improve the quality of the film articles before the 80th Academy Awards!
- Blade Runner is currently under Featured Article review. Please join in the discussion to help the article maintain its FA status.
- There is currently a discussion over including fair use images in the infoboxes of media-related articles. Please join in the discussion since this could significantly impact thousands of film-related articles on Wikipedia.
- The Southeast Asian cinema task force was created, and is in the processing of tagging articles related to the cinema of Southeast Asia. More members are welcome to sign up.
- Spotlight Update: Multiple films and film-related articles have reached GA and FA/FL status in November 2007.

- Recipient of the WikiProject Films Award: Girolamo Savonarola for his dedicated efforts in helping to restructure the project.
