Cleanup attempt

I've made a start at untangling this page, starting with the Film section. I hope this hasn't run afoul of anyone's prior designs. If anyone else feels like taking up the gauntlet, the principles which I was trying to apply are:

• Short lists with precise, clearly defined categories are easier to use. This is so requesters can feel confident they're putting their requests in the best place. And editors wanting to create articles can focus on a narrow area within their interest and expertise. Also, short lists are less intimidating.
• Where a request category could go more than one place in the hierarchy, put it in both places with one of them containing the list of requests and the other containing a pointer to the first. Liberal use of pointers to related categories is a good thing; i.e. the Journalist request list leads off with "See also the list of Documentary Filmmaker requests."
• Requests for articles about people should go on the Wikipedia:Requested articles/Biographies page. Unlike many of the request pages, it seems pretty well organized. And it has clear instructions and warnings about notability, which is valuable because most of the non-notable requests are self-promoting people.

I mostly like what you're doing. However, I don't really see the point of adding in the request dates if the requester didn't add it in themselves. Wizardman 02:55, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

The only reason for adding request-dates is the hope to ultimately merge all the people-requests into the Biography page, where for some established reason request-dates are part of the proscribed format. Reasonable? --Joseph Hewes (talk) 07:02, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Commercial Radio Stations

Looking for a list of commercial radio stations, I ended up here. I can usually find anything in Wiki, so I'm surprised that I could not find such a list. I'm certain that a list of Commercial Radio Stations (in the U.S. and/or elsewhere) would be useful, especially if it included the transmitter and studio locations, transmitting power, and format. --67.150.0.155 (talk) 22:11, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Created Articles

Since this page is for requesting articles for creation, shouldn't the created articles be removed from the list? Akihironihongo (talk) 11:31, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Jeff Stearns deleted

Jeff Stearns was deleted in 2016, mostly on notability issues, but it is listed here as requested article. That seems a bit of a contradiction to me. I think the link should be removed from here or the article should be undeleted. Pere prlpz (talk) 10:51, 18 August 2023 (UTC)

Regarding film & TV miniseries both called "Secrets of the Universe".

1. FILM = "Secrets of the Universe" is a space documentary documentary that is playing in museums, planetariums, Imax theaters, and the like, in the USA and abroad. 2. MINISERIES = I also saw information about an 8 episode TV miniseries called "Secrets of the Universe". This is its IMDB entry, but to see the production company info, I would have to pay money. 3. NOTE
= A. There is already an article on YT called "Secrets of the Universe", but it is for a music album, not related to the film or TV show.
