Hi. I noticed that the article was changed to a redirect, but I changed it back right away because the article survived an AfD. However, the user who had made it a redirect noted that the decision was to keep and cleanup. So if maybe somebody could have a look and see if the article can be improved (I'm really more of a Sonic guy myself). I think the article is redundant, and probably would vote to delete it, but I certainly wouldn't just make it a redirect to Mario without discussion. --Maxamegalon2000 12:24, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed. I've already added a clean-up tag and linked the article to the main Mario page. I might also clean it up myself if I have time (the article really needs refenerences).--TBCTaLk?!? 03:36, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Game Boy Help Request!
I've sort of been making the article for Game Boy my project at the moment, and I've been making a slew of revisions and additions for the last week or so. If anyone from this project can just check things over on the page, make sure things are sound, or if you want to add any new content, I'd really appreciate any help you can offer. Game Boy is rated as a "High" importance article on the Computer and video games WikiProject, so I'm really trying to improve it as best I can. I Jethrobot 06:53, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
While I was looking around I noticed the Dr Mario section of wikipedia is a little sparse. I am going to attempt to improve this but any help would be fantastic. Wormsley 21:21 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'll help if I can. The article needs some more references and citations.--TBCTaLk?!? 02:30, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Some person move the article on Bowser to King Bowser, there is a move request on the talk page there, and I urge people to vote in support of moving it back to "Bowser" and to re-name the current Bowser page as Bowser (disambiguation). TJ Spyke 06:36, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
I agree with you. Somebody fix this. Starmenclock 16:55, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Seeing as how I'm not getting any response on its talk page, I'll post here too. Thanks to the wonderful contributions of many Annon. users, the Mario Hoops article basically turned into a how-to guide for unlocking characters and costumes. Also, the tables placed on that article look very ugly and distracting. Seeing as how many people have been working on the article, it would be a slap in the face (and potentially an edit war) for me to go reverting this and that. However, I would like to know what input anyone else has concerning that page. -SaturnYoshi 23:47, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- I suggest that the Characters, Courts, Items, Basketballs, Alternate Costumes, Dribble Race, and 10 Coin Hunters sections be merged in one section, perhaps a section titled "Contents", and that the Voices section should be merged into the Character table. Also, the "about" column of the characters table looks a bit crufty.--TBCTaLk?!? 02:28, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- It's very crufty. My suggestion is a simple list of characters broken into two groups: "Available from beginning" and "Unlockable". The method of how they are unlocked is irrelevant and should not be mentioned. -SaturnYoshi 03:18, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Dark Link
I have a question in regards to Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series. Wouldn't it be better to have "real" screen-shots of Dark Link in the article as opposed to ones created with the help of a cheating device? Readers who haven't played those games may get the wrong impression that Dark Link can be playable by normal means. -SaturnYoshi 19:44, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- If you can find better pictures, feel free to add them.--TBCTaLk?!? 20:47, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Melee tournaments
Is there really a good reason to have a tournament section in Super Smash Bros. Melee. There was an argument on its talk page about it being "self promotion", and now if you look at the article you'll see pics of the supposed "best players". I think this should be enough of a reason to completely trash the entire section, but anger should not be a reason to revert pages. Anyway, I beg someone to take a look and see what I mean. -SaturnYoshi 06:47, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Update: The page looks a lot better now. Hopefully it will remain as such. One can only hope... -SaturnYoshi 08:46, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

New one
Hi guys,
I want to say that i'm up for this "work" too,but i would like to say that i'm not american: i'm brazilian, and i think that there,in the portuguese wikipedia, this thing it's not happening; and i'm also not VERY good in english. That's a problem for you guys?.However,i'll try to help in these to-dos without making things related to the spelling.
Thanks!
Metroid series help
- Creatures in Metroid, Metroid II, and Super Metroid
- Creatures in Metroid Fusion and Metroid: Zero Mission
- Creatures in the Metroid Prime series
I would like some help in renaming these articles. Metroid Prime series is fine - but I am considering making a separate page for the characters from Hunters. The first two articles encompass the five 2D games, but to combine themall would make the page ridiculously long (unless we cut out the crufty characters and descriptions). ANy suggestions on better titles? Hbdragon88 20:39, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- What about renaming Creatures in Metroid Fusion and Metroid: Zero Mission into Creatures in the handheld Metroid series and renaming Creatures in Metroid, Metroid II, and Super Metroid into Creatures in the main Metroid series?--TBCTaLk?!? 21:14, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Nintendo Barnstar?
I have seen a Pokemon barnstar, but why is there no Nintendo Barnstar? I believe one must be created. Starmenclock 19:33, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Page move
Someone moved the Luigi page to Luigi (Mario). Was this discussed beforehand?? -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 00:57, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think so, but I think the consensus at Talk:King Bowser may apply to other Mario characters as well.--TBCTaLk?!? 09:39, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well, the person didn't even bother to change any links. Even on the disambiguation page that everything redirects to. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 14:22, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- Ignore what I previously said; seeing that there was no prior discussion on moving the Luigi page specifically, you should ask an admin to revert it. You could also mention it on WP:CVG as well.--TBCΦtalk? 15:15, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

neshq.com
I am currently removing neshq.com external links when without a context (in example, when they are linked to the home page). The site has an Alexa ranking of nearly 4m, I wonder if all of them should be deleted. What do people think? -- ReyBrujo 03:14, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Hey, this is AndrewM, the founder of NESHQ.com. I don't know who's putting contextless links to my site but everyone I've put goes in the format GAMELINK - Description NESHQ.COM_LINK. If there's a way you'd prefer me to post these links please e-mail me (andrewm@neshq.com), but I put them up as my games pages are some of the most comprehensive on the web. Thanks!
A link to an Open Directory Project page instead would be a much better option.--TBCΦtalk? 03:46, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Anyone wanna help me with the list of Nintendo patents?
20 of them are done, and 491 need to get done. A lot of help would be appreciated. —Captain538[talk] 14:17, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- I am pretty concerned about having an article with 500 external links. I suggest not doing individual linking, just linking the search result link as reference. -- ReyBrujo 18:14, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- So, take away the links and just do the rest as un-linked? That can be done. In fact, that would be much, much easier. —Captain538[talk] 01:21, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, with the patent number it should be enough to find the patent. -- ReyBrujo 01:28, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

I had added ~100 patents to the list, but the article came up in the Articles for Deletion debate, and was removed. At least this means I can stop the tedious work I was doing on the page. Useight 05:37, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, that happens. If you want the text of the article before being deleted, tell me and I will copy it to your page (say, because you have a copy of the last revision for your own research). -- ReyBrujo 05:47, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- No thanks, I could just look up the patents (which I won't because I really don't care) at the patent office's database. Useight 16:13, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

This project's Barnstar/award needs a lot of work.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Nintendo/Award
It's not even in Barnstar format. I say that we have a normal award (a regular Starman image), and a Barnstar (perhaps an image of a Barnstar pixelated and pallette-defined so it looks 8-bit). —Captain538[talk] 01:27, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
Here's something that I just threw together in about 30 seconds, I know that it needs work. What do you think it should really look like?

BarnStarman award anyone? Jecowa 06:57, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

- Looks like the left BarnStarman is a winner FullMetal Falcon 22:52, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- Seems like a great idea and all, but it would not stick out like such a sore thumb if it was in the original Barnstar format. you know, with the hole in the middle and the detail and all.
- That's not to say it can't be coloured a luminous gold colour, with dark oval eyes and possibly an aura if need be, but it should conform to the style of the current barnstars in existance. maybe instead of an aura or eyes, a looping .midi of the starman theme can be added ;)
- Gene S. Poole 00:03, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
I agree with Gene S. Poole so I have made a hybrid of the standard barnstar and the starman. Please consider it for official use. Jmeriot 15:54, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Project Directory
Hello. The WikiProject Council is currently in the process of developing a master directory of the existing WikiProjects to replace and update the existing Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory. These WikiProjects are of vital importance in helping wikipedia achieve its goal of becoming truly encyclopedic. Please review the following pages:
- User:Badbilltucker/Culture Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Culture Directory 2,
- User:Badbilltucker/Philosophy and religion Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Sports Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Geographical Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Geographical Directory/United States, (note: This page will be retitled to more accurately reflect its contents)
- User:Badbilltucker/History and society directory, and
- User:Badbilltucker/Science directory
and make any changes to the entries for your project that you see fit. There is also a directory of portals, at User:B2T2/Portal, listing all the existing portals. Feel free to add any of them to the portals or comments section of your entries in the directory. The three columns regarding assessment, peer review, and collaboration are included in the directory for both the use of the projects themselves and for that of others. Having such departments will allow a project to more quickly and easily identify its most important articles and its articles in greatest need of improvement. If you have not already done so, please consider whether your project would benefit from having departments which deal in these matters. It is my hope to have the existing directory replaced by the updated and corrected version of the directory above by November 1. Please feel free to make any changes you see fit to the entries for your project before then. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. B2T2 21:20, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Just one question: Under where it says stuff like "Collaberations" and "Peer review," should we only fill in "yes," or should we also fill in all others with "no"? —Captain538[talk] 22:53, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- You should fill in the link to the appropriate page or section. If there is content, the box will show a "yes" and link directly to the appropriate page or section. Sorry about any confusion earlier, by the way. I forgot for a while that all the "draft" pages linked to the existing pages. The old pages have now been replaced and most things should work fine. My apologies again for any confusion. B2T2 00:07, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

We need to have an article focus system.
I think we should have an article focus system. We could use approval voting to make a list of articles that need help. One at a time, we would list an article with what is needed to make it at least a GA, and keep it as that until it reaches GA status, then take the next article on the list.--Ac1983fan(yell at me) 17:18, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

- Do you mean an assessment scale? What most projects do, is that they categorize articles by Top importance, High, mid or low. And I think we should do that with this project as well. The top articles should be the systems, the pages for the franchises, Shigeru Miyamoto, the pages for the most famous characters (Mario, Link, etc).
Included Characters
In the introductory paragraph the sentence, "However, this does exclude Super Mario RPG related articles which, though owned by Square Enix, features Nintendo related characters." seems a bit odd. The word exclude seems to clash with the sentences around it. Is it saying that RPG aticles aren't included or they are. Either way can I suggest a slightly clearer phrasing which dosen't clash so much with the words around it?BigHairRef | Talk 01:02, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Tagging the Nintendo articles
It would be a lot of work, but the Talk pages of many Nintendo related articles are not tagged as being a part of Project Nintendo. The articles would be a lot easier to keep track of and it would be easier to keep track of which articles are good, featured, etc. So is this something that needs to be done? -- Scorpion0422 18:15, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- This does seem rather important, though there are a very high amount of talk pages without this tag. I'll start doing so. —The Great Llamamoo? 21:29, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
