Early Life and Education

2024 Nashik Teachers' Constituency Election

edit

In the 2024 Teachers' Constituency election for the Nashik Division, Kolhe ran as an independent candidate in a four-way race against candidates from major coalitions, including the Maha Yuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi. His independent stance appealed to voters seeking an alternative to traditional party politics, gaining him significant support in the early vote counts.

The vote-counting process was marred by controversy when surplus ballot papers were found, prompting attention from political leaders and increasing scrutiny over the election's integrity.[3]

Kolhe is the founder of Sanjivani Yuva Pratishthan, an organization dedicated to addressing social issues such as education, healthcare, and youth development in Maharashtra. The organization’s initiatives focus on empowering marginalized communities and promoting rural welfare.

Apart from his political and social engagements, Kolhe holds the position of the youngest director at IFFCO, where he champions rural and agricultural development. As chairman of the Sahakar Maharshi Shankarrao Kolhe Sahkari Sakhar Karkhana Limited, he continues his family’s legacy in cooperative management, advocating for the welfare of local farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
