At what point do we change the tense of this article to past tense.
editThe show has been indefinitely suspended for over a year now.A Tree In A Box (talk) 20:26, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- @A Tree In A Box: Brady posted a blog about the status of Hello Internet in [September 2020] reiterating that the podcast is on a break, and that the change of status of episodes would be announced on social media. Until such a change is announced, it's safe to presume that it's still on hiatus. Qwaiiplayer (talk) 13:43, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Qwaiiplayer: This is true, but until further notice or a new release, the podcast is essentially inactive. The creators can make any statements they want, but I think it is more accurate to at least assert the podcast as inactive, and not say it is going from 2014 to present. --Mvpetri (talk) 23:52, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

They are a self-described "two dudes talking" podcast.
- Not done It's unclear exactly what change you're requesting. Anyway, the genre already says "discussion" - this is probably sufficient. --Fru1tbat (talk) 13:33, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Number of episodes
editThe Episodes section says "As of August 2020, Hello Internet has had 136 normal numbered episodes, as well as 18 special unnumbered episodes." The infobox has the same information.
This is not correct. Episode 136 is the newest episode, but there are not 136 numbered episodes. If you take a look at the table, some of the unnumbered episodes take the place of numbered ones. There are no episodes numbered 76, 116, or 133. So really there are 133 numbered episodes and 18 unnumbered ones (for a total of not 136+18=154 episodes, but only 151).
I'm not sure how to word this though, both in the infobox and in the Episodes section, so I would appreciate some help with that

- Great catch! I'd be very confident in making this edit myself, except for one problem: if you look at http://www.hellointernet.fm/archive or the hello internet youtube playlist, you can see that some of the episodes the current page regards as "numbered" do not actually contain a number, like "😐🔫" and "A Recent Hello Internet". So that makes it extra hard to determine if the star wars episodes are "numbered", given that "H.I. Star Wars The Last Jedi Christmas Special" seems not to take a numbered slot yet "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Hello Internet Christmas Special" and "HI: Rogue One Star Wars Christmas Special" do.
- I think what I will do, at my earliest convenience, is refactor the table and the related info to incorporate the episodes that are clearly meant to take the place of numbered episodes as "numbered" episodes (rephrasing this concept to the best of my abilities), and explicitly detailing the "unnumbered" ones that do not fit into the sequence. I have now changed the Wikipedia page to reflect this information. In contrast to my earlier comment above, I have ignored most of the ambiguity inherent in the system and tried to present a simple account, because I thought that was the best way to phrase it. I would like to make an edit on this article to update the dates of the podcast, which is now unactive, and also make small changes on the parts that mention the community of the podcast, specifically the graphic flag, that is in need to be updated as well. Mvpetri (talk) 23:49, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Nardog (talk) 23:51, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- Mvpetri Just a friendly reminder that while there are Hello Internet community discussions surrounding the flag right now, until further notice the flag stands. It is also worthy to remind you that the reason this page went semi-protected in the first place was over vandalism with the flag. Willthehelpfuleditor (talk 07:12, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

Change, "Hello Internet is ..." To "Hello Internet was..." as the podcast has not had any new episodes for over 4 years now. It should now be past tense. 209.33.206.77 (talk) 02:48, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: From MOS:TENSE:
By default, write articles in the present tense, including those covering works of fiction and products or works that have been discontinued.
- Since the old episodes still exists it is appropriate to refer to the podcast in present tense. Jamedeus (talk) 04:59, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
