Missing Star Trek developed for the PLATO mainframe

edit

There is a game called "STAR TREK" developed for the PLATO mainframe in 1974. It can still be played today if you log in to cyber1's PLATO system and run the lesson named "trek". It appears extremely similar to screenshots of the 1971 Star Trek game. However, I do believe it is a different game. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.113.84.29 (talk) 11:32, 30 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Just to let the original page starter know, there is already a catagory of Star_Trek_games so i added a link to the that catagory at the bottom of the new one. The old catagory doesnt have any introduction text, just the games listing so this will make a good start page :)

SFB

edit

Why is SFB listed in two sections? this seems to give the game undue inprotance (especialy as FASA's game can be said to contain many of the same features.[[Slatersteven (talk) 15:57, 9 May 2009 (UTC)]]Reply

Star Trek: First Contact

edit

(No relation to the movie by the same name.) There's a computer game by this name that was available for the Apple II and IBM compatible systems. I'm not sure of the release date. It was based on TOS. If anyone can dig up some info on this game, it should be added to the list of computer games. If it helps, it was a text-based game with images that appeared for notable events. If I recall correctly, it was released by Simon & Schuster (spelling?) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.122.212.233 (talk) 13:35, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Some (scant) info about that version is here: http://www.mobygames.com/game/apple2/star-trek-first-contact

However, there also was a cancelled game with the same name based on the TNG movie, http://news.bigdownload.com/photos/neverware-cancelled-pc-games-part-two/1085000/ 72.15.94.206 (talk) 08:04, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Space Checkers

edit

Hi,

I just read, that Space Checkers is not a Star Trek Game, though it is played in the series. Compare to http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Space_Checkers

I don't know how you want to handle this situation, so I thought I just post here, fyi.
