mohabbatein means...

edit

I hear that mohabbatein means love. Is this true? Sanskrit or Hindi?

It means loves stories (from Mohabbat = love), as far as I know. --Plumcouch Talk2Me 11:56, 24 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes. It means love stories in Hindi. It is sometimes used for referring love too. Piruty Pipaty (talk) 08:41, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Mohabbatein.jpg

edit

Image:Mohabbatein.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I'm rying to find about sanjaya...i mean, sanjana's boyfriend "deepak". this articles states its "Raman Lamba", but when i click on his name, it says he is a deceased cricket player aged 38. he past away in 1998, and this movie came out in 2000...so its probably no him, or they have the same name, but that name is being linked to the deceased cricket player....can some one correct this? thanks...i'm want to know more about "deepak" (he's hot)71.163.145.97 18:27, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Paragraph

edit

Before the production of the film, Bachchan was attempting a revival of his career with little success, and was also in financial trouble with the bankruptcy of his production company, ABCL, not only hurting his image but leaving him almost penniless. It was at this time that Bachchan contacted his friend, director-producer Yash Chopra, who told him of an upcoming production that he could be in.[1] With Mohabbatein, Bachchan was finally able to shed his "hero" image and to play older, more mature roles.[1] This was also the first film in which Bachchan and Khan appeared together. This created a strong buzz for the film, as it brought two huge stars of different generations together.

Filming

edit

Longleat House (in the picture) was used as the location for the Gurukul School in the film.

Filming took place in India and England.[2] Longleat, a country house in Wiltshire, England, was used as the location of Gurukul. Oxford and Cambridge Universities were also used for filming. The scene where Narayan Shankar walks right before meeting Raj Aryan was filmed at the Queen's College, Oxford. The railway station scenes were shot at Apta Railway Station in Panvel, Maharashtra, India. The scene where Karan asks for friendship from Kiran was shot at Birla Mandir in Hyderabad, India. It was rumored that Sridevi was approached to be a love interest to Narayan Shankar, but she turned down the role.[3] Midway through the filming of the song "Aankhein Khuli", Jugal Hansraj fractured his foot, which required him to wear a cast for the rest of the filming of the song. Aishwarya Rai was slated to only make a guest appearance, but her presence generated so much interest that her role was promoted to that of a regular character.[4] --Nicholas Michael Halim (talk) 11:10, 23 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

From "Production"

edit

Chopra then narrated Mohabbatein to his father Yash Chopra, who was impressed by it; the latter also produced the film under his banner Yash Raj Films. In an interview with Screen, Yash Chopra described Mohabbatein as "a modern film, a film about today and it has all the ingredients of entertainment for people of all ages". He said the film shows the honour of Indian traditions and their values, adding; "On the whole Aditya has made a honest film, honest to God and honest to the audience who has given us so much".[1]

Can you please use crore/lakh instead of million

edit

Hi!I am Piruty Pipaty. I would like to request all of you editing this page to use Hindu-Arabic System (crore/lakh) instead of International Number system (million/billion) for representing numbers as it is about the Indian film.Thank you!By Piruty Pipaty (talk) 08:40, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
