Spliting article

edit

Hello, 2 days before i had submitted article name Sunil Prem Vyas. which is rejected by Robert McClenon. and this article was declined before as well. reviewer send me message, This draft is a request to spin out an article, a form of splitting. Proposals to spin out a topic from an article into another stand-alone article should be discussed at the talk page of the existing article. so please guide me how i can split this article with Take it easy (2015 film) article. and how can i request administrator to move this rejected draft to a permit new draft. @Jay1Rudra1: I'm unclear what you are asking. Typically when someone talk about splitting an article, they're talking about removing content from Article A and creating Article B with it. For instance when SpongeBob SquarePants was created it may have had a short list of episodes, until that content got too large. That content was removed and a new article List of SpongeBob SquarePants episodes was created. Since Take It Easy (2015 film) is a very bare-bones article, I don't know what content you would extract to create a new article. Can you clarify what you are proposing, please?
If you are asking whether or not you can copy content from Draft:Sunil Prem Vyas and move it to this film article, I'm not sure how much of that I would expect to see in a film article. A biography on the film's director seems a bit weird to me. Maybe Robert McClenon would be so kind as to clarify his suggestion? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:59, 17 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
User:Cyphoidbomb - The issue has to do with Draft:Sunil Prem Vyas, which is a draft BLP of the film's director. The entry for him is currently a redirect to the film. The draft has been submitted repeatedly. The author is stating that Sunil Prem Vyas satisfies notability, and is asking to have a biography accepted. I said that discussion should be on the talk page of the parent article. This is the talk page of the parent article. That is what I usually suggest when a draft for a person is submitted and there is a redirect for the person to another article. So the question is a biography of the film's director. I finally rejected the draft rather than declining it because it was being submitted too many times without discussion and without looking like it satisfied creative notability. I hope that this clarifies matters. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:33, 18 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
User:Cyphoidbomb - As I tried to explain, but maybe not well, the request amounts to a spin out, which is a form of split in terms of creating a new article, but the proposed new content is in the draft, not in the old article. Does this clarify? Robert McClenon (talk) 16:36, 18 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Robert McClenon: I think I'm still a bit confused. Was your suggestion that a biography of Vyas appear in this Take It Easy article? I just need clarity so that I understand how to help the other user. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:46, 18 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
User:Cyphoidbomb - I guess that I need to apologize rather profoundly for using the wrong message. I didn't know that it would cause that much confusion. I didn't realize that the use of what turns out to have been the wrong message would result in a "stuck" condition where I am unable to re-explain. The editor submitted a draft of a BLP of Vyas. I said that, since there was a redirect for Sunil Prem Vyas to the film article, discussion of whether to accept the BLP should be at the film article talk page. I think that this is the film article talk page. Next time I will use the 'custom' decline rather than the 'merge' decline. If Vyas is notable, the draft of his BLP can be accepted. Otherwise any information about Vyas can be included, as it now is, in the film article. I will probably now have to restate this two more times, since I evidently used the wrong message. I'm sorry. I apologize for apparently having caused confusion that cannot be walked back. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:25, 18 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
