Hello. I'm not sure why you replaced the poster, but it would be a very good idea to copy the fair use rationale from the previous version. The JPStalk to me 16:11, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre copy edit

Hi, EclipseSSD. I apologize for the belated reply to the note you left on the Guild of Copy Editors talk page. I'd be happy to copy edit the article if it still needs it. Best, --momoricks talk 23:03, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, --EclipseSSD (talk) 14:53, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Is there a deadline you're looking at for FA nomination? --mo talk 07:52, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
No, not really. Although I would like it to nominate it, soon, these things shouldn't be rushed. I'd give it a bit more time. --EclipseSSD (talk) 16:17, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Okey, doke. I'll take a look at in the next few days. mo talk 03:03, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Your rewording works well. I added your note on my talk page to the article talk page to keep a record of copy editing-related discussion. On a different note, I was surprised to learn that you are only 15. You come across as much older in your communications. Perhaps my opinion is based on me being a jaded American. I think all 15 year olds just want to vandalize Wikipedia. :) mo talk 21:34, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. I'm just trying to do my part for Wikipedia, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre series is one of the things I'm working on. Once I'm done with this one, I'll start on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. --EclipseSSD (talk) 12:29, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

I apologize for my slowness in getting through the article. I encountered some Wikidrama that lead to an ANI and RfC, which distracted me for a bit. I'll get back on this. Best, momoricks make my day 04:10, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Infobox

That type of infobox basically repeats what's in the table of contents immediately to the left. It makes it redundant, and unnecessary.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 14:33, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

I didn't make the infobox. You can remove it if you want. --EclipseSSD (talk) 14:35, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

I know, Lady Aleena did. I left a comment on the infobox talk page asking why it is really necessary. It doesn't seem relevant when you're talking about a topic with multiple subtopics. It's one thing when it's a "film series" page, and another when it's a "franchise" page.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 14:39, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Dude, just wanted to check with you, you added some tags to the "National Treasure franchise" page, it would be really great if you could add some information on the DISCUSSION seciton associated with this page to clarify the exact issues you see as being problematic. thanks 89.101.63.72 (talk) 01:00, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

I did add my explanation to the discussion page. Take a look at it for my opinion. --EclipseSSD (talk) 16:17, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:McMahon DVD.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:McMahon DVD.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:26, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre infobox

Hey there, an anonymous IP user keeps rearranging the "Starring" information in the infobox. I'm presuming that it is ordered that way for a reason. Am I correct in this presumption? I want to make sure I'm not reverting the user's edits inappropriately. Thanks! momoricks (make my day) 13:08, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

You've done the right thing. What this user's gone and done also, is a create a page for William Vail, with nothing on, apart from his appearence in The TCM. That page should not exist. --EclipseSSD (talk) 21:38, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Ugh, I thought that might be the case. It's often hard to maintain good faith with some editors when their talk pages are filled with vandalism warnings and block notices. I'm curious about William Vail. Is he never going to be notable enough for a Wiki article? momoricks (make my day) 22:43, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
I highly doubt it. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is the only notable film he's been in, so I don't really think it can get much better than that. --EclipseSSD (talk) 11:46, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

TCSM footnotes style

I'm experimenting with a different kind of footnote system in the article and am curious to know what you think. I moved the book sources to the References section and a linked footnote style between notes 1 and 20. I can't seem to relocate the page that details how to use this style, but you can "edit" a section to take a look at the coding. I'm trying it in order to reduce clutter in the Notes section and keep all book sources listed together. Another benefit is it allows the reader to click on the note (i.e., Friedman 2007, p. 132) and jump straight to the entry in the References section. Thanks! momoricks (make my day) 03:12, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Age of Empires (video game)

Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I am glad to be reviewing the article Age of Empires (video game) you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria.   This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Thanks.—RJH (talk) 23:23, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

I've tried to make the desired changes in order for the article to pass. --EclipseSSD (talk) 14:35, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
All but one of the issues has been addressed. If you could provide a clarification of the 'triple hitpoints' feature in the article, I'll be pleased to promote it to GA status. Thank you.—RJH (talk) 17:14, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

I've done the explanation of the hitpoint mode.--EclipseSSD (talk) 16:01, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
You're all set. Thanks.—RJH (talk) 20:03, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

License tagging for File:AgeOfEmpiresScreenshot.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:AgeOfEmpiresScreenshot.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:05, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (File:Oakwood logo.jpg)

You've uploaded File:Oakwood logo.jpg, and indicated that it's used under Wikipedia's rules for non-free images. However, it's not presently used in any articles. Wikipedia policy requires that non-free images be either used or deleted, so if this image isn't used in an article in the next week, it will be deleted.

Star Wars: Battlefront III

Hi EclipseSSD! I noticed your edit to Star Wars: Battlefront III in which you redirected the page to Star Wars: Battlefront (series)#Star Wars: Battlefront III. I'm not (yet) convinced that this was necessary. User:VegaDark just recently unblocked the article from creation with the summary "Article creation seems appropriate now"[1]. Would you mind explaining your reasoning in a little more detail? Thanks in advance! Best regards, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 20:38, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your note EclipseSSD. This is as close as the game gets to confirmation [2], but it is in no way official, as you said. However, to me it seems as though the topic has had so much discussion revolving around it, that it may already be worth an article. In other words, if the game is never to be created (unlikely, but still...), the topic has had so much publicity that it might merit an article anyways. Let me know what you think of this (after all, you're the one with the IQ off the charts, not me) Thanks again, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 21:02, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for getting back to me again EclipseSSD. I'm still not convinced that redirecting the page is necessary. I understand your logic, but the article's encyclopedic value at this point is fairly borderline. I'll be rewriting the page shortly, but for now, I have restored it to its former state. If you wish to pursue redirecting the page again, please open up a discussion on the article's talk page before taking any action. It's better that the Wikipedia community comes to a consensus on this rather than just us two editors. Sincerely, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 00:25, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Okay, great! I'll reformat the references like you said as soon as I get a chance. Thanks, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 20:26, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Excellent work EclipseSSD [3]! The article looks great now! Cheers, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 22:38, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

As a member of WikiProject Films, you are invited to take part in the project's first questionnaire. It is intended to gauge your participation and views on the project. At the conclusion of the questionnaire, the project's coordinators will use the gathered feedback to find new ways to improve the project and reach out to potential members. The results of the questionnaire will be published in next month's newsletter. If you know of any editors who have edited film articles in the past, please invite them to take part in the questionnaire. Please stop by and take a few minutes to answer the questions so that we can continue to improve our project. Happy editing!

Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Eric Lassard 2.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Eric Lassard 2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Cirt (talk) 14:56, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

When responding to other comments, could you indent your own comments? It makes it easier for others to follow discussions. Thanks! Gary King (talk) 17:47, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

I have blanked out a large portion of the Development section, as it seems to take much of its text directly from Postmortems from Game Developer with little to no change in wording. You are free to work on a new version of the article in another location, but please do not edit the actual article until an administrator has looked into the issue. Thanks.
