- Pro.crew.film, Hello and welcome to Wikipedia, I am really sorry that you feel bad because your draft was declined. Well I got to look at the draft and sincerely it doesn’t meet our notability guidelines I.e WP:GNG and WP:NACTOR. The draft is also full of IMDB sources, please note that IMBD is not a reliable source. Please look for more sources be used to establish notability.I hope this helps, Cheers Megan☺️ Talk to the monster 22:42, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

Regarding the issue of not having digital sources which can be cited
Dear Reviewers,
We had submitted an article for a government organization called the NCC in India, this particular organization is a unit of the NCC which falls under the Karnataka and Goa Directorate of NCC. It is understood from the reviewer's notes that the article submitted does not contain enough inline citations and the sources provided are not reliable. the predicament we are facing is that there are no digital sources that we can provide which may be considered reliable, and hence we would like to know if there are any other means of providing reliable sources. 1karairncc (talk) 21:09, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

Recent changes
- Admins can now see links to diffs of deleted revisions on Special:AbuseLog. This uses the interface of Special:Undelete. [1]
- Editors are automatically added to some user groups. For example editors are added to autoconfirmed users when they have edited enough times and long enough. Abuse filters can hinder users from automatically getting user rights for a period of time. They can also remove rights user have. Wikis can now ask to change how long this period of time is for their wiki in Phabricator. It is currently five days. [2]
Problems
- Last year some abuse filters stopped working because of a new change. If they tried to use variables that were unavailable for that action they would fail. This has now been fixed. [3]
Changes later this week
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 29 September. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 30 September. It will be on all wikis from 1 October (calendar).
Future changes
- You can't see the language links to other language versions from the talk page or history page. They are also not shown when you edit an article. This could change. It is not decided if for example the history page should link to another history page or to the article. You can take part in the discussion in Phabricator.
- The link colours could change. This is to make the difference between links and other text more clear. You can read more in Phabricator.
- In your preferences you can choose to get different notifications on the web or by email. You will see
Apps
as one of the alternatives later this week. This is because the Android and iOS Wikipedia apps will use push notifications for those who want them. You can see the preferences on the test wiki. The goal is to have push notifications on Android in October and on iOS in early 2021. [4] - You can soon put pages on your watchlist for a limited time. This could be useful if you want to watch something for a shorter time but don't want it on your watchlist forever. It now works on mediawiki.org and will come to more wikis later. You can read more and see when it will come to other wikis.
- You can see what Wikimedians think are the best new technical tools this year. You can also nominate them.

Consensus when?
I teach PhD students in editing wikipedia and for the first time in a thousand students or so, I came across the semi-protected demanded editing. A student of mine has suggested a change regarding the genome of the apple, but got as a response that he has to wait for consensus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Apple#Semi-protected_edit_request_on_14_April_2020. His question on when and how this is reached is left unanswered and I cannot give him a good answer since you own the question. Olle Terenius (UU) (talk) 20:39, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)@Olle Terenius (UU): It seems like your student is ignoring the comments on that talk page. Nobody has supported his/her proposed addition in the form it was suggested so you're pretty darn far from anything resembling a consensus. Have you even read WP:CONSENSUS? Toddst1 (talk) 20:51, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- If no one has opposed after a whole week, then yes they have consensus. "Not done for now, get consensus" is in my view an overused template. – Thjarkur (talk) 10:06, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- I tend to agree. See comments at Talk:Apple#Threading_discussions. Toddst1 (talk) 23:01, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- In this case, the text is written by a researcher with knowledge about the apple genome and reflects the consenus of the scientific community. The likelihood that another person with enough knowledge on the apple genome will step in and approve on the talk page is very small. Having one apple-genome researcher actively editing Wikipedia is probably about as many as we will get. So the consensus that Toddst1 is waiting for, is unlikely to happen. Olle Terenius (UU) (talk) 10:32, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

Al Fara'a Group - Updated
Hello,
I have updated the Al Faraa Group submission you rejected yesterday (this is my new account). I added more sources and information. Unfortunately, as it is an Arabic company in an Arabian country, reputable English-language sources are scarce, however it definitely is worth being on Wikipedia considering it is one of the UAE's largest construction companies with massive links to government, private and international stakeholders and its financial troubles were worth it to be reported even on Bloomberg. ArabianBusinessMan (talk) 17:05, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- ArabianBusinessMan, I am afraid that it is still not notable as per Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) guideliness. ~ Amkgp 💬 18:11, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
I respectfully disagree. One of the subsidaries of the company, Unibeton Ready Mix has a page and so does the founder of the company J. R. Gangaramani. The company employs thousands of people and I have seen US-based and EU-based compnaies with far less sources and impact with pages. Is there a way for this to be objectively checked by someone else? Also I do not appreciate you going to my former account's talk page and saying I violate the guidelines. I made my first edit and got banned, and my draft was rejected. Then you accuse me of being a single-issue account. I try to improve my edit on my new account and you reject it again. How exactly else would I be able to move to another page when my first keeps getting shot down for no apparent reason? ArabianBusinessMan (talk) 16:52, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
Dear Amkgp, yesterday you declined the submission of my new page on the "Radicale" calendar software. I believe I addressed the issues: many references are now given in the References section. Also, it seems you were under the impression that this page was about a company or organization that is not notable. I now added a software infobox: this page is about software included in all major linux distributions for about a decade, and it is also available for Windows and BSD. Please have a quick look at the updated page, thanks! gerritg (talk) 19:49, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- Gerrit C. Groenenboom, I find the draft WP:PROMOTIONAL and I am not proceeding hereafter. I hope it to be reviewed by another reviewer soon. ~ Amkgp 💬 18:09, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- Dear amkgp, can you please explain: on the draft page it says you declined the submission because of lack of reliable sources. If you changed your opinion and think this page is promotional material, shouldn't you change the tag on the draft? Also, I followed the link to WP:PROMOTIONAL and there are five points. Could you please let me know which of these five points applies to the draft for the page of the Radicale solftware (Advocacy/Opinion/Scandal/Self-promotion/Advertising) ? Thanks! gerritg (talk) 11:00, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

- Thank you, Usedtobecool. I just took a look at that one and agree that Arjun sapkota was G11 eligible. However, this current iteration is not. I would suggest either AfD or draftifying. I've curious how that SPI turns out & have endorsed the CU request. Those as drafts may make for good honey pots or would be G11'd anyways. --TheSandDoctor Talk 17:17, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- Arjun Sapkota's deleted edits were histmerged into the currrent version. So, if you check the history, you will see multiple entries for creation. Regards! Usedtobecool ☎️ 17:18, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- Usedtobecool, thanks for the help and initiating the SPI case. I could also find few of the similarities you mentioned in the editing pattern but was not sure enough to proceed. Thanks TheSandDoctor, for posting the reasons behind the G11 decline. ~ Amkgp 💬 18:04, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Usedtobecool: Arjun sapkota still contains edits, multiple page creations, and 3 deletion logs as well. At best right now, I would suggest either AfD or draftifying for Arjun Sapkota, though the SPI may change the available options depending on CU findings. --TheSandDoctor Talk 18:19, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

Wp:RM : Aesthetic canon
You relisted this RM without giving a reason. This is the first time I have done an RM, so would you explain your rationale, please? Should I have changed the template invocation to give the revised proposed name? Something else? I left notifications at the arts wikiproject and on the talk pages of related articles.) --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 16:28, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

Recent changes
- There is a new tool where you can see which home wiki users have in discussions on Meta. This can help show which communities are not part of the discussion on wikis where we make decisions that affect many other wikis.
- You can now thank users for file uploads or for changing the language of a page. [5]
Problems
- There were many errors with the new MediaWiki version last week. The new version was rolled back. Updates that should have happened last week are late. [6]
- Everyone was logged out. This was because a user reported being logged in to someone else's account. The problem should be fixed now. [7]
- Many pages have JavaScript errors. You can read more and now see a list of user scripts with errors.
Changes later this week
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 6 October. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 7 October. It will be on all wikis from 8 October (calendar).
- Letters immediately after a link are shown as part of the link. For example the entire word in
[[Child]]ren
is linked. On Arabic wikis this works at both the start and end of a word. Previously on Arabic wikis numbers and other non-letter Unicode characters were shown as part of the link at the start of a word but not at the end. Now only Latin and Arabic letters will extend links on Arabic wikis. [8]
Future changes
- You will be able to read but not to edit the wikis for up to an hour on 27 October around 14:00 (UTC). It will probably be shorter than an hour. [9]

Taxon articles at AfC
I've noticed that you declined Draft:Dendrobium angulatum at AfC, and added a notability tag to Livistona jenkinsiana (althoug you reverted that later). Please be aware that you are off base here - per WP:SPECIESOUTCOMES, all species (and by extension, higher taxa) are considered notable. If the taxon has been correctly described and named and the description published, there cannot be any "notability" grounds for declining or deleting the corresponding article. I'd expect an AfC reviewer to be aware of this. Cheers --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 18:27, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
Regarding Draft-Shubham Shashank
This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (The article has been written on a very young startup owner who had a legal company and many newspapers which are very reliable in India has published his work. Please try to understand the article.)

Request for help
Hi, Amkgp! Please, help me to improve the article to make it clear to Wiki that it does not run under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion (BreakingMuse (talk) 14:43, 20 October 2020 (UTC))
{{help me}}
- BreakingMuse I have nullified the "help me" template; it is not necessary to place one when you are requesting help from a specific editor, since it alerts everyone who monitors use of the template, not just the person you're trying to interact with.
