Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I recognize the effort you've put into these articles, and I understand their significance. I agree with you that you don't like admin DrKay because he handles cases strictly; count me in. However, he is correct in asserting his right to challenge articles with weak or unreliable sources. The sources you've included in your articles, mainly genealogy databases, are not suitable for Wikipedia. It's crucial to find better references for your articles. If these references aren't available online, don't worry; you can capture offline sources from books with a camera, upload them to Google Drive, and provide a link in the article. Don't be intimidated by experienced editors; I'm here to help you as a respected editor from our region. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Margherita of Savoy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pantheon. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Women in Red

edit

Hi there, Azarctic, and welcome to Women in Red. If you intend to continue writing articles about women with connections to royalty or nobility, you should be a useful member of the project. Hello! Thank you giving me a warm welcome! It is a pleasure to be part of the WikiProject! Speedy deletion nomination of Idowu Ademola Faith

edit

Hello Azarctic,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Idowu Ademola Faith for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Idowu Ademola Faith to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

That’s fine, I moved the article to the creators draftspace, but it always creates a redirect to the draft. Unfortunately I do not have rollback perms so I am unable to close off the redirect. Azarctic (talk) 16:36, 20 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Probable translation of Désirée Pacault

edit

Thank you, Azarctic, for your biography of Désirée Pacault. It looks very much to me as if you based it on the French article Désirée Pacault but you did not mention this in your edit summaries. It is extremely important to provide correct attribution of translations in order to avoid copyright problems and protect the article from deletion. You will find more detailed explanations at Help:Translation but I strongly suggest you now make an additional edit on the article and state in the edit summary "This article is based on a translation of the French article". You can also add a translation template to the talk page: Translated|fr|Désirée Pacault. Please let me know when you have added these details.--Ipigott (talk) 10:17, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

I do apologise, I didn't know I had to put it in my edit summaries. I will if I translate another article. Thanks very much for informing me, and if there’s any other suggestions, please let me know! Azarctic (talk) 12:39, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for getting back to me. No apologies needed as I can see you intend to apply the necessary features. It takes some time to become familiar with all Wikipedia's requirements. I've taken care of DP. The edit summary on translation needs to be included in the article itself while the translated template should be added to the talk page. I think everything's OK with DP now. Please let me know if you need further assistance in translating from other language versions. I would recommend you use DeepL which is based on AI. You can translate short passages free of charge without any downloading or payment. Just copy and paste a paragraph or so at a time, Try it out and let me know if you find it useful. It's much better than Google translate.--Ipigott (talk) 13:32, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, I've just downloaded. Anything is better than Google translate, it's very buggy for me when I use it. Azarctic (talk) 13:59, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Submission at Articles for creation: Razvan Mitroi

edit

Hello! Yesterday you accepted my draft for Razvan Mitroi but you reverted the submission. Would you please change your mind and approve the submission? Razvan Mitroi is a Romanian artist and musician with a notable online presence, appearing on magazines and radios, including one of the biggest radios in Romania, Kiss FM.

About your comment "there is a lot of references, a lot of them come from places like X and other music apps". I followed the same structure as other smaller musicians than Razvan Mitroi, and all of them have these sources and have been approved in the past. In this case why some of them are rejected and the others are accepted? It's not fair.

In my opinion, Razvan Mitroi should have a Wikipedia page as it's one of the most underrated new artists in Romania. Thanks! Ax76 (talk) 09:12, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

I think it's better for someone more experienced to review it. I changed my decision because I do not think it's fits the criteria of Wikipedia:NMUSIC, because a lot of the sources material are things like Spotify, Apple Music, Twitter, and his own published website, which are not reliable sources for Wikipedia, and a lot of them have a dead status, again as I said, I am quite new to reviews drafts and I suggest a more experienced reviewer reviews it. Azarctic (talk) 09:40, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Even if I do accept it the submission as well, a page reviewer will have to see if it notable and may even put it up for deletion anyway. Azarctic (talk) 09:45, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
