Victoria City Hall, British Columbia requested move

Hello, an administrator has propose the article Victoria City Hall, British Columbia for a requested move to the new title called Victoria City Hall. There are no article titles named Victoria City Hall around the world. The newly titled Victoria City Hall is just the only Canadian article without the comma-prvince name. For an example the article Vancouver City Hall is already existed without the comma-province name. So could you go to the Victoria City Hall, British Columbia article then go to the article's talk page, and there is a requested move if you want to support the newly renamed title. I will see you at the article's talk page. Thanks. 2001:569:70DD:7500:39EA:19D8:DF90:EF4D (talk) 05:55, 12 February 2017 (UTC)

Expatriate block evasion?

After reading your comments here I thought you might be interested in 86.42.25.153. Same range, edit style etc... and clearly not responding to editor requests from their last foray with categories...wondering if this is some sort of block evasion at this point. Michael Shinagel

I saw your edit to Michael Shinagel. I don't work with categories much, but I am wondering at what point you stop being a refugee. His flea from Hitler was obviously a long time ago, but it seems to me that putting his article in the Refugee category was appropriate. --BrianCUA (talk) 04:40, 17 February 2017 (UTC)

Many apologies. I should have looked further into the history before nominating at AfD. Apologies also for the template advisory note. I have valued the work you do here and am now deeply embarrased. Regards  Velella  Velella Talk   00:20, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

Quebec City government

Thanks for helping me understand Quebec City government, but I have a few additional questions to see if I can clarify in the "government" subsection of the English page for the city. First, as I know understand it, the 21 municipal councillers are elected from elecotral districts (I'll shorten it to wards), none of which cross arrondissement lines. This is what I'm clear of. My question is moving down the municipal ladder. Once we get down to the arrondissement councils, do the electoral districts for the arrondissement councils correspond to the quartiers, or not even then? Lastly, down at the quartier level of government, are quartier councils elected from their own electoral wards or are they elected at-large since they are such small units of government? I guess to put it more simply what I'm really just asking is whether these three levels of government are linked beyond simply reporting to the one above it, or if they are three largely parallel levels of government?

I'd like to understand the levels of local government up to the municipal level so as to accurately rewrite the "government" subsection, but my French is not good enough to fully grasp the ideas from the city's website. Realistically, what I want to do is to describe in three short paragraphs the three municipal levels of government (ville, arrondissement, and quartier) so readers can more easily grasp how municipal government works in Quebec City. It's a bit more complicated than what I'm used to. Thanks, again! --Criticalthinker (talk) 09:56, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply (I wonder why it showed you'd replied to my page six times, though). You answered my biggest question, and it's that these aren't all parallel levels of government. The arrondissement councils simply consists of the city councillers elected from those arrodissements electoral districts. Then, it seems that the quartier councils actually are elected from electoral districts within the quartier, but the actual "council" is advisory. In English, this concept isn't totally foreign. Where I live, they call these "advisory boards," though the difference is that where I live these advisory boards (for things like city parks, zoning, etc.) are elected at-large with the entire city being a single electoral district. I believe the other big difference is that I don't believe city councillers (or any other person holding an elected office in the city) are allowed to sit on these advisory boards, even in an ex officio capacity.
Yes, this has helped alot. This means that the last level of local government is actually really just the arrondissement. Also, since you brought up the additional level above the city level (agglomerations) I'm really curious as to the differences in what agglomerations oversee and the additional level of metropolitan communities (communautés métropolitaines) for Quebec City and Montreal. I guess what confuses me about this level is that apparently despite each agglomeration consisting of multiple municipalities, it's actually still on the same governmental level as a regular municipality, whereas a metropolitan community is one level up from a regular municipality or agglomeration. For instance, what level is public transportation handled at in Quebece City and/or Montreal? This is where things get interesting (and crazy) for me as I'm not sure what level of governance a metropolitan community would be on, as they can cross even Regional County Municipalities. It'd seem that being above the local and agglomeration level they'd be on the same level as an RCM, but since they can overlap RCMs, it must mean that they are like a half-step above them. You can have a muncipality in the metropolitan community (and outside an agglomeration) that is also in an RCM! --Criticalthinker (talk) 09:59, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Kendra Timmins

Hi Bearcat, I need your help on overlinking on the Kendra Timmins article, I have delinking Actress and Canadian links, they are both considered Overlinking. A User name User:Onel5969 have revert my edits and User:Onel5969 told me to stop and began to accuse me. I know I didn't link actress and Canadian for overlinking. I delink actress and Canadian because they are both overlinking per WP:OVERLINK, because I didn't do anything wrong. I know that Actress and Canadian links are both overlinking because of User:Onel5969 got reverted by reversing the edits by linking Actress and Canadian per WP:OVERLINK because it's a backward revert. I got a question for you, Do you think the links Actress and Canadian are both overlinking? If so, could you revert to my edits and warn User:Onel5969 never link Actress and Canadian links for overlinking per WP:OVERLINK. Could you revert it to my version delinking uneeded links per WP:OVERLINK. So go to the history page of the Kendra Timmins and review the contributions rand revert it back to my version and tell User:Onel5969 never link Actress and Canadian they're both overlinking. If you can help me for assistance. I'll be glad to help you about overlinking. Thanks. 2001:569:70DD:7500:39EA:19D8:DF90:EF4D (talk) 05:01, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi again, did you read my previous message about overlinking on the Kendra Timmins article? I hope you're free from debating at requested moves. I will assist you for this message on overlinking. Remember I delink Actress and Canadian links for Overlinking and User:Onel5969 revert my edits? And User:Onel5969 revert my edits thought it was an overlinking per WP:OVERLINK and accuse me to stop because User:Onel5969 link Actress and Canadian beacuse it was overlinking cause it's a backward revert. Remember the question "Do you think the links Actress and Canadian are both overlinking?" could you go to the Kendra Timmins article revert it to my version I delink Actress and Canadian links per WP:OVERLINK. And tell User:Onel5969 to warn the user never add links for Actress and Canadian because that's overlinking per WP:OVERLINK. I know you're busy because this message is urgent. I'll be happy to assist you on overlinking per WP:OVERLINK. Thanks. 2001:569:70DD:7500:39EA:19D8:DF90:EF4D (talk) 05:36, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
I have no interest in getting involved in this. Bearcat (talk) 05:44, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

Protection of Davide Giliberti

I think that placing full protection on Davide Giliberti was incorrect. While it's true that PasqualeGiliberti blanked the page, and an anon (probably the same person) immediately reverted to a version without the tag, I don't see any other edits which would justify the protection. The best way to hanfdle this is, IMO, to make sure the user understands that the removal of AFD tags is inappropriate, as well as sokpuppetry and page blanking even with inteention of reverting. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 09:23, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

I agree with the above user, full protection is unnecessary, and prevents the article from being improved during the deletion process, perhaps extended confirmed protection would be better. Gamebuster19901 (TalkContributions) 14:13, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
