editHello, I'm ScrapIronIV. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Spain, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. editHello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Moxy (talk) 04:19, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
Image placement
editPls avoid sandwiching text between two images that face each other; or between an image and infobox, navigation template, or similar. See Wikipedia:Image dos and don'ts.--Moxy (talk) 04:23, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
Welcome, and the need for citations
editHi, a belated welcome to Wikipedia, and a word in your ear. I am not sure if anyone has explained to you that verifiability is central to the whole project. All articles, and the encyclopedia's reputation, rely on external sources, and readers can trust what they read because, and only because, everything can be checked to be correct. That means that sources must be provided for every claim. When a knowledgeable and well-informed person knows something, that enables them to be a useful and interesting person, but if they simply assert a fact, it is dangerous for the encyclopedia as nobody else can tell where the information came from. Wikipedia therefore requires reliable sources to be cited for all claims. The two policies I have linked are core "pillars" of the encyclopedia, and it would be helpful if you could read them carefully: basically, everything else we do (if at all sensible) follows from them. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 04:52, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, i know, i am based on that says the Italian wikipedia, in these days i will do but give a little break and dont delete the descriptions because if i dont found a reliable source, i will delete my self--BrugesFR (talk) 05:14, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
- Italian WP is poorly sourced. Rome is just one example; St. Salvator's Cathedral is another, and sources certainly exist for that. Chiswick Chap (talk) 05:21, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
- I will try to find a sources in these nearly days, if not I will delete that assertions that there have not--BrugesFR (talk) 05:23, 12 June 2018 (UTC)

The images absolutly relate with the texts, sections or the dates of the article. Please, When do you find the error communicate to me to avoid that error but not the rest of the edits--BrugesFR (talk) 00:32, 13 June 2018 (UTC)

editPlease do not add outdated content to articles as you did to Demography of Australia.https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Demography_of_Australia&type=revision&diff=851435696&oldid=851435482] Contrary to your assertion that the information is from 2015, the population figures are based on a December 2017 estimate and the data is regularly updated throughout the year. If you look at Australia's official population clock, the current figures are:
- one birth every 1 minute and 42 seconds,
- one death every 3 minutes and 16 seconds,
- one person arriving to live in Australia every 1 minute and 1 second,
- one Australian resident leaving Australia to live overseas every 1 minute and 51 seconds, leading to
- an overall total population increase of one person every 1 minute and 23 seconds.
The population clock is managed by the Australia Bureau of Statistics which is the official and only organisation to take direct counts of the Australian population. It is regularly updated. --08:18, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
False demographics entries
editPlease refrain from entering incorrect entries of fertility rates.
Your recent entries do not match the births reported. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:638:607:205:0:0:0:30 (talk) 07:13, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- All these are from the reliable sources Our World In Data and Gapminder Foundation researching together. See their articles in the wikipedia to proves that are very well reliables--BrugesFR (talk) 07:17, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
They use the UN forecast of future fertility rate in all countries (2015 - 2099), called median fertility variant. It is a forecast and not the actual fertility rate. If you look at the recent amount of birth, the fertilty rate do not match with the UN forecast. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:638:607:205:0:0:0:30 (talk) 08:06, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- I have not placed any future projections in any article, first of all because i agree with you in it, any future projection seems vague, people can radically change their fertility from one year to the next. I have placed only historical fertility rates, as I put in the articles "are based on fairly good data for the entire period". One foundation of these belongs to the University of Oxford and the other one was awarded by the United Nations and works with her. What tells you that, they are excellent sources to use in wikipedia--BrugesFR (talk) 08:15, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
The data from the year 2017 is provisional. It is not the actual data. Both websites are exelent, but they only use the UN forecast for the year 2017. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:638:607:205:0:0:0:30 (talk) 08:20, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- Especifically in the year 2017 I did not use those sources but the CIA WORLD FACT BOOK this [1]--BrugesFR (talk) 08:24, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- If you want to change the 2017 do it, I do not have any problem, but as long as you add a well-reliable source with it--BrugesFR (talk) 08:35, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
The values for the year 2017 from the CIA world factbook are estimates.
For example the provisional fertility rate in France is 1.88 for the year 2017. The preliminary data come from INSEE, the official statistics authority of France. [1] So, obviously 2.07 from the CIA world factbook is completly false. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:638:607:205:0:0:0:30 (talk) 08:43, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- I agree, for the 2017 I see the INSEE much more reliable. change it if you want and add the source. If you do not know how to do it, send me the URL of the page and I will change it then--BrugesFR (talk) 08:49, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- Ok i already added that--BrugesFR (talk) 08:58, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
Periods and years
editI do not think that changing "for the entire period" to "for the entire years" in this edit is right.
There are times when the "entire years" construction is right - for example:
- "the large manufacturers of Lancashire and Yorkshire had worked three entire years for nothing"[2]
- "These, then, were the martyrdoms accomplished in Palestine in eight entire years".[3]
I think the "entire years" construction emphasise that it means whole years. The "entire period" in the case of a period from 1855 to 1920 emphasises that the period does not have gaps.-- Toddy1 (talk) 22:06, 26 July 2018 (UTC)

editThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. Speedy deletion nomination of Percent of population in the United States between non-Hispanic whites and Minority by age group
editHello, BrugesFR,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username SportingFlyer and it's nice to meet you :-)
I wanted to let you know that I have tagged Percent of population in the United States between non-Hispanic whites and Minority by age group for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. You may find our guide for writing quality articles to be extremely informative.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SportingFlyer}}

editMate, easy. An excess of images could be detrimental, but deleting a pile of just three or four horizontal images per WP:GALLERY should be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. And cut with the "horrible" bit. You don't need to be a WP:DICK.--Asqueladd (talk) 16:26, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
- Because as you may understand, if instead of a 4x1 or 3x1 horizontal gallery you can arrange those as thumbnails in a 1x3 vertical sorting or you can put them in blocks of 2x2 the problem is not (necessarily) a matter of the sheer number of images. We are not dealing here with the "undone" edits with a case of a dozen of pics all thrown together, but with the editorial stance on how 3 or 4 pics should be arranged in the entry.--Asqueladd (talk) 16:47, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
- In any case, feel free to discuss it without maximalisms (but in terms of how do they relate to the neighbouring text they are supposed to illustrate), because if galleries were banned by default a bot would have already chopped all of them away from en:wikipedia. We don't need human grim reapers as substitute for those (so far) inexistent bots.--Asqueladd (talk) 17:15, 13 September 2019 (UTC)

Concerns with translations
editGreat to see new article's from other wiki's....however a point can up that people are not sure your verifying the information (as in have you read the sources yourself). What is being said it that info added my be verified by the person that adds it. Some are questioning if you have access to the sources your using and if they verify what's being added.--Moxy 🍁 19:13, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Moxy: I always check all the sources I add. what makes you think I don't?
- @Moxy: I only add reliable sources, being from another language or another country's researchers doesn't make them doubtful.--BrugesFR (talk) 19:18, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
- It's not about reliability....it's about have you seen the source or are you taking what is said on some other wiki at face value. A few articles are being talked about with Fort of Santa Catalina, Lima being the main example. ...as these sources are very obscure and have not been in publication for decades (you have a copy). As per WP:Burden info added must be verified by the person who puts it in... not assuming that the source is correct for the info with an unread sources attached to it.--Moxy 🍁 19:27, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Moxy: Its about an article I edited a year and a half ago. it has nothing to do with the articles that I am creating right now in where all of them I add accessible and reliable sources. Please let me these next weeks I will add sources that you can access in that article Fort of Santa Catalina, Lima.--BrugesFR (talk) 19:31, 7 October 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Churches in Puebla (city)
editA tag has been placed on Category:Churches in Puebla (city) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Section and statement, Havana Cathedral
editGreetings, you removed my Autocad Havana Cathedral Building section. As far as I know this was the first section that was constructed for this building.
Did you identify mistakes in the drawing? Pretty bold of you to remove this drawing and I want to know why you are removing technical drawings that are accurate?
You also removed: Ref: Revision as of 16:03, September 24, 2019 (edit) (undo) (thank) BrugesFR (talk | contribs) (deleting a false statement that he has no source to back him up)
" The interior was renovated between 1946 and 1949 in the neoclassical style. Cuban architect Cristobal Martinez Marquez headed the project and through a series of architectural procedures gave the church interior a more open and grandiose space, allowed more light to enter, and improved its ventilation system. The cathedral's interior is stone with a white and black marble floor"
Yet, there is a reference which you ignore!?! You OBVIOUSLY did not care to read the page or the citation? Why are you doing this?
https://web.archive.org/web/20140324231544/http://www.umbrellatravel.com/cubablog/?p=936
Perhaps I am missing something, can you please be so kind as to explain why you are removing these items? Thank you... ovA_165443 (talk) 14:05, 23 November 2019 (UTC) uc
- @Osvaldo valdes 165443: To begin with, I am not going to accept any bad told in Wikipedia, if you are going to refer to me, you behave calmly. And second, everything you just commented here on is new, the Havana cathedral article was like this before I started editing [5], if you see that addition of yours lacks reference, if you just found now a reference then add it, but don't criticize me because You left yourself information that lacked evidence, ok--BrugesFR (talk) 02:12, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Osvaldo valdes 165443: that the page did have that url, yes, but linking other information that is not related to that, and well far away. if you are going to add something, also add its reference, if it is not you expected that someone can doubt it and delete it. if you want to discredit someone's work in wikipedia, don't rely on lies--BrugesFR (talk) 02:21, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
- Well, for the record I am calm and you are right I did not reference the article, my mistake. I just don't understand what it is that you are trying to say (any bad told!?!} or what it is you are "not going to accept"? or the accuracy of your accusation that I'm relying on lies...LOL! It appears from this end that it is you who is a tad defensive, relax, I am not accusing you of anything. You could have talked on my page before deleting and calling it a "false statement that he has no source" well, it is not false as you claim and it does have a source. What concerns me is why did you remove my section? You must have your reasons but why are you ignoring the subject, remaining mum, hmmm? :) ovA_165443 (talk) 06:05, 24 November 2019 (UTC)

Article name change: Convent of São Francisco?
editWhat was the rationale for changing the name of the article: Church and Convent of São Francisco, Salvador to Convent of São Francisco, Salvador?
It's name in Portuguese is the Convento e Igreja de São Francisco, not the Convento de São Francisco. It's noted for the church anyhow, not the convent.
Additionally, it's both a church and convent.Prburley (talk)

Speedy deletion nomination of Child marriage in Botswana
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Child marriage in Botswana requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://web.archive.org/web/20160208194737/http://www.mmegi.bw/index.php?aid=51965&dir=2015/june/17 and https://web.archive.org/web/20180630111053/https://www.gov.bw/en/Ministries--Authorities/Ministries/Ministry-of-Labour--Home-Affairs-MLHA/Gender-Issues/Amended-Laws-that-affected-the-status-of-women/?p_id=1437. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
- Removed speedy after reading the Commons copyright of Botswana about legislative. My apologies --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 22:54, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
The article Child marriage in Senegal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Trimmed to two sentences due to copyright issues - I see no reason for this article to be kept, especially considering that there are quite a bit of redlinks in the Child marriage in Africa template
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Chevvin 05:31, 25 July 2020 (UTC)

Links to draft articles
editPlease do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to List of colonial buildings in Santo Domingo. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 11:22, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

- I copied it from the Spanish version of Wikipedia as seen here:
- This version was already the same on October 24, 2015, how it looks here:
- so it was surely made in the same Spanish wikipedia, so I refuse what you say and I will revert your changes.--BrugesFR (talk) 23:42, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
- I respect your work but please I ask you to revert it because I can't do it. What's more, I added very well reliable references (from books) so what you did doesn't make sense.--BrugesFR (talk) 23:47, 15 November 2022 (UTC)

List of buildings in Guanajuato City moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, List of buildings in Guanajuato City, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - My editions on Demographics of Russia, i was only adding figures, true figures, in Wikipedia the information is added, what is the problem with that? I have to add it because otherwise the page is outdated, and only one page that does not say almost nothing about its demography, or a historical building.
- I am not doing copyright because the information is fair, it does not say more or less than what it has to say, the web pages did not create that data, it is real data that was created by a government institute, or the history of a historic building, and you delete everything from me and accuse me.--BrugesFR (talk) 17:43, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
- It is information so important and they are happening right now and cannot be hidden, that simple.--BrugesFR (talk) 17:56, 19 February 2023 (UTC)

- @Diannaa: I dont adding copyright. I just adding data and few other things I add with my own words, where is the copyright in the demographic articles? Section creation
editCan you please not create seperate headings for the data your adding in, as much as its appreciated it does not need to be placed in its own heading at the top of the page and can be fitted within the top heading your putting it with a subheading. . Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 14:32, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Some of the above articles aren't actually copyright violations, but several of them are-- and some of them did not cite the sources they copied from, additionally making this a plagiarism issue. Given previous warnings and your previously open CCI Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/BrugesFR, there needs to be a clear assurance that you will not copy from your sources in the future, a commitment to citing sources, and you will need to demonstrate a better understanding of copyright. Additionally, do you have any connection to User:Vvven/User:ILoveCaracas? Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 14:41, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

Request reason:
@Moneytrees: and other admins: Hello, those who have told me that they have copyright, I already have fixed them with my own way to writing, I just need you to tell me what they are, I have worked a lot for Wikipedia, for me Wikipedia is very important and from here I swear that I will not do it again, when lately I little copy something it is a very short little phrase that provides numbers and I have no choice, but everyone I am going to fix the copyrights that I have done, I ask that the punishment be lifted, I swear that I will try my best not to do it again, although I will continue working for Wikipedia but leaving my own words when editing. I am sure that I have not violated copyrights for 8 months, which is when I did some buildings of Cartagena, Colombia. Look at the difference of the pages that I have created possibly more than 200, almost all traslated from other Wikipedias of different languages, with the pages that appear from copyright above as 5 Thank you for helping. I promise not to do and when it seems difficult to do my best not to do copyright on Wikipedia. pd: I believe that the Hungarian church above is translated from the Hungarian Wikipedia, since I translated all those some Hungarian buildings and history from the Hungarian Wikipedia--BrugesFR (talk) 18:51, 22 February 2023 (UTC) --BrugesFR (talk) 18:23, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hey, I need help, hey, that's why you're going to block me indefinitely, so I can't write on Wikipedia anymore? With the lot number of articles that I have translated for the good of the community? it's too exaggerated. I will not be because they do not like to make editions on demographic issues in the countries, it is very controversial the data from the countries from UN-and-government-sources, it goes against their political beliefs? and it is better that it is outdated or has almost no information on those demographic pages? Wikipedia is only far-left and only-American, I understand, only that is allowed, that's why they blocked me, otherwise it's still very unfair.
Why No one admin answers me or tries to help me or solve it with me, yet?--BrugesFR (talk) 20:23, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- All those articles that were marked above as speedy deletion were from Cartagena Colombia, I created those articles 8 months ago, which were few, the rest were translated from the Spanish Wikipedia.--BrugesFR (talk) 21:12, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
In keeping with the discussion below, I see no reason to unblock now. Wikipedia is only far-left and only-American, I understand, only that is allowed, that's why they blocked me
shows a total lack of understanding of why you are blocked. It's also crapola. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 22:54, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

- Not an admin, but some of those "little copy something" was entire paragraphs you copy-pasted. They were not small bits of text that you are accidentally close-paraphrased; this is something that can happen accidentally to anyone, even the most experienced users. Instead, you copy-pasted text you knew was copyrighted. You have been here for years, and have nearly 20,000 edits to your name. It cannot be an issue that you don't know, as you were informed of this at the previous CCI raised against you, and at numerous other occasions. This is in addition to numerous unattributed language translations taken from other wikis, an issue that was raised with you previously by numerous editors on numerous occasions. Any "lack of understanding" is completely willing on your part, and constitutes a severe lack of desire to learn or follow the rules of Wikipedia, on your end. - You are considering some things that I did 7 years ago in a single period when I was very young and inexperienced, I did not know how to use Wikipedia, my editions have completely changed since then and I wanted to get rid of that in all ways, I almost always only translate from other Wikipedias, and now another user told me that translating Wikipedias from other languages was something illegal, but other users refuted that, Wikipedia is helped by other Wikipedias since it does not have copyrights and works for Wikipedia, why not translate it if at all Wikipedias have the same rights, they are the same users who deliver their work to give it to the public without copyright benefits, many users intend to write on the Spanish Wikipedia so that it can also be translated and reach other languages. Lately I haven't done those little sentences since I've learned how to modify them written like I'm doing. See for example Casa del Cabildo (Cartagena, Colombia).--BrugesFR (talk) 19:20, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- All three of the diffs (diff Demographics of Finland, diff Demographics of Somalia and diff Demographics of Spain) that resulted in the new CCI case and your block are from this month, two of them in this week. All of them involved copy-pasting paragraphs in blatant violation of copyright law and policies. It is not being punished for past issues, but ones you would actively be committing if not for the block. Again, the translation is not an issue, the lack of attribution is, as numerous editors have informed you. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 19:28, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- Write here an example of how to correctly pass the information that I put in Demographics of Somalia that does not seem copyrighted to you, what should I do, make an opinion about it in the article? or what would I do, make a table of figures?. Write here to learn.--BrugesFR (talk) 19:41, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- Rewrite it in your own words. I don't think its possible to explain it more simply than that; use your own words, and make sure they are not too similar to the sources wording. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 19:43, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- I probably would have gone with;
- "Early marriages, those between the ages of 20-24 getting married at a young age, within Somalia have decreased from 46% of the cohort being married to 36%.
- Somalia's fertility rate still remains one of the highest in the world, the Somali Health and Demographic Survey reports that the country has a TFR of 6.9 children per woman. Female genital mutilation is additionally widespread, with 99% of women being circumsied."
- Note it is not necessarily the data part which is flagging up rather the text afterwards like 'known to deprive women of opportunities to reach their full potential' parts, if you stripped the majority of your additions of stuff like that you would be fine (I would assume). - @Iazyges: There are several words that I changed, the article is not completely the same. What do you want me to say: "child marriage, something that has come to harm the future of girls and achieve their goals, among the range of women between 20 and 24 years old, is still 36% of the population". That's what I've been doing in the last few editions and they deleted it because they say they're opinions, what else?--BrugesFR (talk) 19:52, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

" Huh? I blocked you because there is significant evidence that copyright violations have continued since the CCI was opened in 2019. I don't know or care about your personal politics. Your current appeal should focus more on demonstrating understanding of what you did wrong and committing to not adding copyright violations in the future-- User:Moneytrees/Copyright blocks contains some advice on how to appeal a block. As of right now, I'm not inclined to unblock but I cannot decline your appeal as the blocking admin, so you'll have to wait for another admin to accept/decline, which may take a while. Admins may be more incline to look into an appeal if there is less to read for the background, so I'd recommend to not write too much more. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 20:48, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

(Non-administrator comment)(edit conflict) BrugesFR, I see that you have good faith and clearly want to improve the encyclopedia, and that is a good start for being a productive editor here, but it is not sufficient. You must also follow Wikipedia policies and guidelines. In rare and extreme cases, you can ignore policy (but I don't recommend trying that). However, there are a very few policies which may never be ignored under any circumstances and which are non-negotiable and have legal consequences; one of them is the policy on WP:COPYRIGHT, for which repeated violations will get you blocked. This is what happened to you. If you very clearly understood what you did wrong and could demonstrate how you would avoid that in the future, I think you could get unblocked. Unfortunately, your questions above make it clear that you don't understand what exactly was wrong, or how to fix it. This is the problem, because it is a prerequisite to getting unblocked. Note that you are blocked only at English Wikipedia, not at any of the other 300 or so Wikipedias.
If you still wish to be unblocked here, here is what I recommend:
- Take a break from English Wikipedia (at least some weeks; maybe longer) and stop appealing your block, for now.
- Spend some time offline reading up and learning about Wikipedia's Terms of Use, including copyright.
- Find the Wikipedia in your native language (see this list), and try editing there for a while. Ask for help in your native language about copyright policy, copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrase.
- When you feel you fully understand copyright at Wikipedia, and you know exactly what to do to avoid it, then if you still feel like editing English Wikipedia, come back here and appeal your block again.
Perhaps after all that, you will find that you are more comfortable on a different Wikipedia language project; that's great, English Wikipedia is already the biggest one by far, and other languages need good editors, so you could just keep contributing there. If you decide that you wish to resume editing in English, then come back here and demonstrate your newly acquired understanding of copyright, in a new block appeal. I might be able to help you in one specific way, with bullet #3 above: if you feel like sharing what your native language is, I'll try to find the best page on the corresponding language Wikipedia where you can ask your questions about Wikipedia copyright policy. I wish you the best of luck. Mathglot (talk) 21:33, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Mathglot: Thanks for that, this is what I'm going to do, I'm going to wait a few weeks, reading about the copyright issue on Wikipedia, and then I'm going to request an appeal to unblock myself, after a few weeks, but I ask you please be condescending with me, I do not want to sabotage, I want to help as I have helped a lot, almost all my editions were not copyrighted, and they were quite informative on each page. I ask you to help me and do not let this spread further, do not block me for years or maybe being an old man I will continue to be blocked on English Wikipedia, as if I had vandalized on purpose, which was not the case.--BrugesFR (talk) 22:36, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) You're welcome. Please understand that I'm not an admin, so I can't block anybody (or unblock them). I would also recommend that you take some time to discuss Wikipedia copyright policy with other editors in your native language. If it's French, then you could start by reading Wikipédia:Droit d'auteur first, and in particular, section § Vous ne prétendez pas être l'auteur de votre apport. Note that this page is the way that editors at French Wikipedia present the requirements of copyright to French editors; the policy page at English Wikipedia is WP:COPYRIGHT, and is the one that governs adherence to editing here, if there is a difference between the two; still, if your language is French, that would be a good place to start. Once you're done with that, you can ask questions in French about copyright at fr:Wikipédia:Legifer; to ask any kind of question at all about editing at Wikipedia, you can go to fr:Wikipédia:Forum des nouveaux. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 23:08, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

- Your comments here and on Diannaa's talk page show a disregard for wanting to understanding copyright. You say you only had issues years or months ago but we find issues from this week. You say you simply grabbed them from other wikis but never noted such. You claim that you're translating articles yet I checked a couple that were deleted that were word-for-word just machine translated through google. Your continuous excuses definitely show an unwillingness to learn. No one's out to get you, we take copyright seriously precisely because this is free. Also, to answer your question below, "child marriage, something that has come to harm the future of girls and achieve their goals, among the range of women between 20 and 24 years old, is still 36% of the population" Can simply be reworded to "child marriage is 36% of the population" if that's what the source notates. Everything else is a copyright violation if directly in the source, original research if it's not, and honestly unencyclopedic in both cases. I'm noting this here as I actually got edit conflicted on the decline, and honestly Mathglot's offer is very generous. Wizardman 23:00, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- Administrator @Wizardman:, of course I want to learn about the copyright of Wikipedia, what I want is to continue editing on Wikipedia following the rules, and if for that I have to read about the subject, then I do it, and what you mentions, child marriage something that has come to harm the future of the girls and achieve their objectives, it is something rightly said by the Somali Government web page that I myself change the way of writing them, so as not to make copyright and that was what turned out. It was not a personal opinion, that is a reality first placed by the government on their website. And what i told Dianna is the way i communicate, i tried to be courteous all the time, It's just that everything I wrote was deleted when I modified it as I could so that it was not copyright, as I could. This is how it says it on the Somali government page: Early marriages—known to deprive women of opportunities to reach their full potential. And this is how I said that I wanted to put it that it is no longer copyright child marriage something that has come to harm the future of the girls and achieve their objectives. Very different of say it. If really this is unencyclopedic, I won't do it in the future if I get the oportunity, only i would put data.--BrugesFR (talk) 23:32, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- Not to be rude, but unencyclopedic is a generous term given that it isn't even correct English. If you were going to phrase it as such, it should be "child marriage is something that has come to harm the future of the girls and prevent them from achieving their objectives." A better and less awkward phrasing would be "child marriage is known to harm the success and development of children." Further, I do think there are some language barrier issues that would naturally prevent high-quality translation: in the span of this conversation, you used "debate" (meaning argue) when you actually meant "conversation", and "condescending" (meaning talk down to) when I think you also meant "conversation". I think both of these stem from the usage of machine-learned tools like Google Translate, but I could be incorrect. Either way, unfortunately, translation requires a high degree of skill in both languages, and while I don't doubt your proficiency in some of the languages, I'm not sure you have such with English to enable good translations; attribution issues aside. - (edit conflict) BrugesFR, in my opinion, you do yourself a disservice by replying to administrator comments here now. They understand your conduct, and it's not necessary for them to understand everything that was going through your mind when you took the actions you did in editing, in order to spot the behavior that is contrary to policy. Explaining your past thoughts and actions or attempting to justify them to admins is an exercise in futility, and may annoy administrators with your pings and responses, when the matter of your block is already decided. There is no point in arguing about the past, or explaining why you did the things you did, as that will not help you, and may hurt your next block appeal. If I were you, I would:
- stop responding and stop explaining, it's hurting your case and annoying admins;
- learn copyright policy, and understand why your previous policy was blockable; and finally:
- think about how to demonstrate your new-found understanding in words that will persuade an admin to unblock you (later, not now).
- The more you respond and explain, the more it seems like you are not concentrating on what you need to do to become unblocked. I don't know how to say this any more clearly, so I hope you understand. I'm trying to help you, but you are not helping yourself, and if you don't make a change, you will never be unblocked. It can even get worse: if you continue to annoy admins with irrelevant explanations of past behavior, they might remove your Talk page access, and then you won't be able to respond here anymore. I hope you choose the right path. If you wish to discuss this with me further, please don't reply below, instead, please respond at your Talk page on French Wikipedia, or some other Wikipedia; you shouldn't be writing anything here, really, other than a well-reasoned unblock request, after you've learned how to do that. Other than that, silence is your best response for now. Good luck, Mathglot (talk) 00:19, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
It is the last thing that I am going to say this week, these are the majority of the articles that I did, this is an example, please see it History of Cusco. and sorry Mathglot so sorry, please keep support me, please, i glad it sincerely--BrugesFR (talk) 01:48, 23 February 2023 (UTC)

Ok well, excuse me, I have a proposal, since I saw recently that you can donate to wikipedia, I would like to donate to wikipedia in exchange for returning to have an account that allows me to edit legally under the rules of the community without any vandalism, I am a startup in my city, but a good startup, but I am relatively starting my business, but I'm doing well, so I can offer it is in a range of 100-350 US dollars, money within this amount i would pay it sometime in these 2 months, i would also do it to help wikipedia, if you want i will write down all the accounts i have used since i was banned from wikipedia with this account, so you can see that my intention really, was not to do any act of vandalism that could harm wikipedia, but to edit, i have had sockpuppets accounts, but it is because i can no longer edit, and i like to do it. But I could not pay more than 400 dollars, because I am not a millionaire and I work in caracas. thanks and excuse me, what do you think about this?. --BrugesFR (talk) 07:27, 22 October 2023 (UTC)

This is eleventh on the list of bad unblock request examples. We editors have nothing to do with the donation process. If you want to donate, thanks, but it will not impact this matter in any way. Since you are still just wasting our time, I will remove access as promised. That will leave you with WP:UTRS for further appeals- which you will lose access to as well if they continue to be unproductive. 331dot (talk) 08:33, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
