Newsletter

The newsletter is ready to be shipped out, sorry for letting you know so late. If you're unable to send it out, let me know on my talk page and I'll get busy. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 09:40, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

I know you may be busy, so I'm sending it out right now using AWB. I'm sure you'll be getting it soon. Good luck with the other newsletters! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 01:06, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Sorry about being late. :-( Thanks for sending it out yourself. ;-) Cbrown1023 talk 01:21, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
No problem, I need to stay up to date with AWB anyway, and it helps me to appreciate your efforts when you do it every other month! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 04:23, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. JKBrooks85 (talk) 04:15, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Wow, another month gone already? I guess those short months will do that to you. The March issue of the College football newsletter is up for delivery whenever you get a chance. We had a problem last time when one of the folks on the do-not-deliver list received the letter. Just wanted to give you a heads-up on that in case there's anything I need to do to fix the delivery options. Thanks again! JKBrooks85 (talk) 10:33, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Sent out. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 19:17, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Vanished user

Hi, I appreciate that the right to WP:VANISH is just a courtesy guideline, but the "Vanished user" case has shown the pressures that editing here can bring, and it would be appreciated if you can give every assistance to avoid unnecessary naming. Please let me know if you want to discuss this issue. Thanks, .. dave souza, talk 08:18, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

I am already handling this with Adam himself. A courtesy blank is an acceptable solution, but replacing all references to a user with "vanished user" is not really that acceptable. Thanks though. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 18:01, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Mr. Deeds Goes to Town

Sorry for the intrusion but could you look at this article? A series of anon IPs (same person based on comments) has added an unusual addition under popular culture with no attribution other than his/her viewpoint/OR. Of a more serious nature, the editor has also made inappropriate comments on the article's discussion page and my talk page. Thanks for your assistance. FWIW, I may be asking a number of admins for their review of the article. Bzuk (talk) 19:12, 21 February 2008 (UTC).

I don't see any problems with your edits. I think we can just ignore and not feed the troll. Cbrown1023 talk 01:23, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Pleast stop

I don't want to overspam these people. I'll be sending out the meetup notice soon.--Pharos (talk) 20:47, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Oh well, it's done already, I guess it's OK. I'd planned on sending out the other notice March 2.--Pharos (talk) 20:51, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your enthusiasm and help, though. The page on our next meetup is Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC (Sunday March 16th). Wikipedia:Requests for geonotice/NYC6 is still active, so I'm not sure if we should have two geonotices or not.--Pharos (talk) 21:06, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Greg will probably merge them when he adds, them; don't you think? Just think, we might not even have to do talk page spammings in the future if everyone's on the mailing list. :-) (doubt that, but it's a nice thought ;-)) Cbrown1023 talk 21:07, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
You e-mailed him, right? (he's not very active on the English Wikipedia—I've modified Wikipedia:Geonotice instructions to make this clear, I hope it's prominent enough there).--Pharos (talk) 21:12, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Yep, sent the request through e-mail first and then added it to the page. Do you ever go on IRC, Pharos? Cbrown1023 talk 21:15, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm on IRC only rarely, when someone requests it. Do you want to chat?--Pharos (talk) 02:26, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Nope, it's okay, I was just wondering. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 15:55, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject Birds newsletter

Hi Cbrown: I was wondering if we could get your bot to distribute our first-ever project newsletter on the first of March. The newsletter copy is at Wikipedia:WikiProject Birds/Outreach/Newsletter March 2008, and the list of participants who should receive it is Wikipedia:Wikiproject Birds#Participants. Let me know if we need to format the participant list differently in order for your bot to work. For this first run, we'll send out the actual newsletter, but in the future, we'll just send a link (unless editors choose to receive the full newsletter or nothing at all). Sorry for the late ask—I'd approached another delivery bot owner first, but haven't received any response in the past week. Anyway, can you please let me know if you'll be able to do this for us? Thanks, MeegsC | Talk 10:34, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Sure, and the format is fine. Cbrown1023 talk 22:57, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Hidden Images

Hello Cbrown1023. I am also from suburb of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia). I am suprised that an Administrator of Wikipedia would condone hiding images on the encyclopedia. Your obviously well versed in the project and commend your work in general so I won't quote policy. Would be so kind as to explain your position? --Garycompugeek (talk) 21:04, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Can you please elaborate? I have no idea what you are talking about. Cbrown1023 talk 01:01, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Oh, you mean Rorschach inkblot test? Personally, I don't think the images should be hidden at all, but there was edit warring so I protected the page. Cbrown1023 talk 01:03, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
I see that now but was caught up in the debate. I jumped to conclusion in error. Your neutrality is commendable.--Garycompugeek (talk) 17:35, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
