Your draft article, Draft:Stephen Need
editHello, Curlymanjaro. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Stephen Need".
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply {{db-afc}}
or {{db-g13}}
code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Stephen Need}}
, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. -- numbermaniac (talk) 06:06, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:LycianTombPhellus.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:LycianTombPhellus.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 01:15, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

Question regarding names of politicians
editHello Curlymanjaro,
I noticed you're active in British related topics. Can you help me out here? I would like to know the names of three gentlemen who are found in a picture in this link: [1]. The picture is the one with the caption: "Opening of the Governing Council meeting Isola di San Lazzaro degli Armeni..." Now I believe one of them is Prince Charles Philippe, Duke of Anjou, the other is, as I assume, Charles Falconer, Baron Falconer of Thoroton, but the other one I don't know. Who and what is a "the Grand Master"? I'd really appreciate your help if possible. Thanks. P.S. Please ping me. Étienne Dolet (talk) 20:43, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

This is back. I think his mayoralty would be enough. There is not a word about his death, no obituary, and very little about his election. If you have access to relevant newspapers it might help. FWIW, I think his mayoralty of a comnunity of this size is notable but its not up to me. One could also quibble over the decision to pull this from the DYK queue given that you had fulfilled the DYK requirements. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 10:55, 16 October 2017 (UTC)

University alumni categories
editHi - If a valid sub-category is in place, then the parent category shouldn’t be added. For example if “South Carolina Gamecocks football players” is present, then “University of South Carolina alumni” isn’t needed. All U of South Carolina football players are alums of the school. See WP:SUBCAT. Thanks. Rikster2 (talk) 21:18, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

The article Friends of the British Overseas Territories has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This article is self promotion of a non-notable charitable trust with citations that reference nothing of note. I recall a similar article was created and deleted a while ago, but it seems to have re-appeared.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Roger 8 Roger (talk) 22:13, 31 December 2018 (UTC)

- Curlymanjaro, it has been two and a half weeks, and the nomination has still not been transcluded. Further, it is not long enough to qualify as a DYK: the absolutely minimum is 1500 prose characters, and this is only 1266 prose characters. If you wish to pursue this nomination, you'll need to transclude it (or request help for doing so), and also do more work on the article to get it up above minimum length. I hope you do both of these soon, but if not, the nomination could be removed or closed. Thank you for your attention. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:00, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
