The quotation on this page were cited, or at least I thought they were. I was informed that you were the one who did the deletion. Is there any way the page can be restored? If I need to tweak it I will -- that would be easier than starting from scratch. re: Spoilers

You know, I thought that may be the case (good faith edit trying to protect everyone from spoilers), but then it hit me that if someone was going to be spoiler sensitive over The Lovely Bones, they'd have to remove 95% percent of the article, including the lead! How impossible would it be to write an extensive article about such a novel without mentioning the fact that she's dead? Oh, I get a headache just thinking about it. UPDATE3: All 258 of the NYS NHLs now have at least a stub article. Didn't see your note to me about saving Old Blenheim Bridge until just now, so a stub for it is already created. Please feel free to delete it and start over. I do worry that there may be some tradeoff in creating all the stubs: I see that it can preclude achieving DYK announcements which have to be in the first 5 days since creation or major development of the article. There are many interesting facts about these NYS NHLs which could merit DYK announcements. However, it also seems efficient to create them all, and then to keep modifying to make them more consistent, and developing each further (drawing on the reference sources now identified in the stubbing process). ABOUT NEW YORK STATE COVERED BRIDGES. i actually grew up knowing there were 29 covered bridges in NYS, it was a fact stated in some NYS recreation publication. Do you have any thoughts about creating an article for each one. Having gotten started with the Old Blenheim Bridge article and its rival in California, I opened up a List of covered bridges in New York State and opened a Shushan Bridge article. It's possible to include at least two external links to photos for each bridge. Are there any in your range that you would like to photograph? ABOUT HUDSON RIVER HISTORIC DISTRICT. It's fine you moved it back to that name, from Hudson River Heritage Historic District. I like that you know what is called what, with your local knowledge. The "Heritage" version is included in the NRIS system, per Elkman infobox generator. The "non-heritage" is the name given in the NHL summary. I liked the suggestion that one person made on the WP:NRHP talk page, that one should use names in the infobox that are what are used in the landmark naming, even if different from common usage and the best name for the article itself. In this case, it's ambiguous. You could put "Heritage" back into the infobox name, or not, while leaving the article named as it is now. REgards...doncram 01:07, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

IN DEFENSE OF Boston Post Road Historic District. Pleasantly woodsy doesn't sound bad. Happy to serve as basis for amusement.  :) But as I recall, the NRHP photographs linked from the article go inside several houses; the districting seemed to be about the houses more than about the road. ABOUT SPLITTING NYS NHL LIST. Dmadeo has opened discussion for splitting, in the Talk:List of National Historic Landmarks in New York. You commented on my user page that splitting NYC vs. non-NYC would make sense. I think that would make sense, but might not be enough. AFRICAN BURIAL GROUND and LIST OF NHLS IN NYC. I saw African Burial Ground on TV news yesterday, drafted a wikinews article about it, and an editor cleaned it up, added a photo from the artist's plan for the monument, and published the article as African burial ground in New York City dedicated as National Monument. Notice, the article includes mention that there are 110 National Historic Landmarks in New York City. I worked that it and it survived the editing, I figure because the editor could see from List of National Historic Landmarks in New York City that the 110 number was a true fact. ABOUT GENESEO HISTORIC DISTRICT. Of course it would be great if you'd post an old or new photo. This sounds like a nice one to visit. I wasn't sure why I didn't combine the info from original NRHP and from the boundary increase at the time I created the Geneseo Historic District article. I have created single infoboxes indicating boundary increase REFNUM and date in a number of other cases. But I see for this one that there is different info on architects and on architectural styles for the two parts. I think I didn't know what to do about that at the time. Just now, I edited the article to combine the two infoboxes, yet retaining the different info on architect and on architectural styles for the two sections (indicating by "original" vs. "increase" in the infobox). Ultimately, I would hope the article would get developed (by you, presumably now :) ) and the original vs. increased areas would be discussed in the article. Then, it would be an editorial decision to simplify the infobox, perhaps losing the distinction between original vs. increase area's architecture. Whew. Got that all out. Ok, every single time I use Wikipedia I get a message referring to my "last change". I had an unauthorized user on my internet who was the culprit of the supposed "vandalism". He hasn't been on my computer for a few days, and there has been no "vandalism" since then, yet I still receive this message from you every time I access Wikipedia. When I reverted the 747 edit, I said to a friend of mine: "Watch...there's this guy named Daniel Case who thinks Wikipedia is his own personal playground, and he gets piseed when someone dares to edit his articles. I'll revert this, and within 24 hours he'll send a insulting message, threatening to cry to the admins. You just watch."

Today, there your message was, in all its glory. "See?" I said to my friend. "Told ya."

"Why doesn't he get a friggin' life?" my friend asked, shaking his head.

Article and Infobox names for NYS NHLs and NRHPs

Hi Daniel -- You moved John Jay Homestead article to John Jay Homestead State Historical Site, which is fine as that is the site's common name, i gather. Thanks for noticing and doing that. Similar NHL articles may also need to be moved. However, I think it's best to leave the NRHP infobox name as given -- John Jay Homestead is the NHL name and it is the NRHP name. As I mentioned before, I agree with the comments on the WP:NRHP talk page about keeping the infobox name as it historically was when the site was designated (especially as that is how it is called in NHL and NRHP systems). I restored the infobox name, as I was doing other cleanup. Also, I added a new link to the SHS at NYSOPRHP and will try to do that more often. regards, doncram 00:58, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Got your message back. To let you know, I earlier moved Clermont Manor to Clermont State Historic Site, and Bennington Battlefield to Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site, to be consistent with your action on John Jay Homestead SHS. I left the infobox names as Clermont and Bennington Battlefield. Maybe i had changed Clermont's infobox name to Clermont from Clermont Manor, i don't recall for sure. Clermont is name on NHL page.

Probably is worth talking about on WP NRHP talk page. I don't see any problem with your using the PO name and the school name. See Eagle Rock Community Cultural Center, article i created including photo i took recently. Its infobox is Eagle Rock Branch Library, which is in fact the name of the current library a few blocks away. I don't see any confusion. If confusion is possible, then the writing in the text has to make it clear. Not sure how it can be addressed within the infobox itself, havent looked to your bridge example yet. Again, worth raising the knotty problems with the main talk page. Oh, another point: I kinda like having the old, retro names, e.g. call it Fort Johnson in the infobox because that was what it was really called, sometime, including at time NHL established. Having the references there is a good part of preparation. Tweaking names in infoboxes can be done then, when real amount of writing is being done, that's what i figure. Hi again. Glad you are appreciating some of my work. I like how you edited the Locust Grove (Samuel F. B. Morse House) article, indeed making it a "real" article. Great! I see that the your suggested DYK claim that this is the first Hudson Valley estate garnering NHL is indeed supported somewhat by a reference in the article. But I wonder, wouldn't it make the DYK more interesting if, in the article, you added links to other estates that have articles, perhaps added a "Other Hudson Valley Estates" section? Or maybe you could whip up a separate article on Hudson Valley Estates, where they are listed. Then readers could follow their way to other estates and it would be more rewarding for them to have clicked on the DYK. I know that we have starter articles at least for several of the estates listed in your reference. I like your getting DYKs.

Within the NYS NHLs, I am working alphabetically in the O's now, a few past "Old Main" now, but I just jumped out of order to add the NRHP registration text and photo documents to the Vassar College Observatory article. The last of 5 photographs is a neat one with the instructor Martha teaching a class to students outside with telescopes. It would make a nice illustration on the article, given the significance of the site apparently is its association with her (going on the statement in the article, which i also edited (although I haven't read the NRHP registration text or otherwise read up on the site). I don't know how to cut a photo out of a PDF, besides printing it and scanning the printed copy. I'd be happy if you would let me know if you figured out such an approach, as there are many neat photos in these NRHP documents.

I take note of your tips about local town names and about checking local RHP lists. In fact, I edited your comments over into a Recipe article that I have been drafting. "Recipe for editing NRHP articles, especially ones that are NHLs" that I have been drafting, within Talk:List of National Historic Landmarks in New York. Can you take a look at that draft? RESPONDING: My source that it was Andrew Jackson Downing who did the landscaping at Springside (Matthew Vassar Estate) is the NRHP Inventory/Nomination written in 1974 by James Dillon at the NPS, in PDF linked in the article. I was careful per your previous remarks to try to check about which Poughkeepsie (city or town) it was in and based my guess on its centralish location, sounds like i got it right, whew.

Glad you are on the photographing trail, sounds like a great family activity. I do look forward to seeing your uploads. Thank you for your criticism of the DYK nomination for Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China. I've offered a response at Template talk:Did you know, where I accuse you of "apparent ignorance". I think you deserve a little justification for that... Your comment illustrated why WP needs an article on the Congress - in fact a series of articles. Doesn't the most populous country in the world, and it's 3rd largest economy, rate one-tenth of the coverage available at Template:United States presidential election, 2008 navigation? I'm sure that your edit was in good faith, and it's spurred me to offer a reformulated hook. However, I'd deplore the notion that DYK is about "unusual" facts, or a trivia summary ("The hook should refer to established facts that are not likely to change, and should be relevant for more than just novelty or newness." - WP:DYK). User:Bongwarriorhas accused me of vandalism for following MOS and removing bad links from Template:Pittsburgh_Steelers_roster. He refers me to WP:TWINKLE which makes no sense as removing redlinks is not vandalism. He also lays claim to "owning" the Pittsburgh Steelers page and has that TW link on and if you edit the page it reverts all edits using TW. I certainly won't violate the 3R rule but I find this odd. Twinkle is a set of JavaScripts that gives registered users several new options to assist them in common Wikipedia maintenance tasks and to help them deal with acts of vandalism. It provides users three types of rollback functions and includes a full library of speedy deletion functions, user warnings, pseudoautomagical reporting of vandals, and much more. I'm having a little trouble with a user named Bamadude, who is making outragiously untrue claims on my talk page and is convinced that myself and fellow users Croctotheface and Clarityfiend (whom I had never heard of before this issue) are conspiratating against him. I am getting fed up, and I don't know how to deal with him. Is there some way to make it so that Bamatude can't post on my talk page, or something? I'm sorry that this person is upset and I hope to calm them down, but actually, I'm the victim here as the user who's complaining is actually the one who started this whole mess by using lies on a public Talk page to back up their erroneous edits and putting down & reverting my factual edits with personal attacks, so I disproved the user's lies point-by-point to lay out my case and provided plenty of factual evidence for my own edits, which is now the accepted version by everyone involved. The problem is that 2 other users rushed to this user's rescue as they were unhappy with my methods, so then I was fighting 2 other people who then used trickery by teaming up to revert my edits to avoid the 3RR rule, used false complaints to try to stifle me and made personal attacks against me. I would only reply when I received a message and when I responded to one user, I got a reply from another user instead, which is obvious teamwork. They also weren't willing to discuss the issues prior to reverting and were domineering in controlling the article and putting me down at all costs. The Talk page where this all occurred has been archived by me to remove from plain view since all of the edits in question have been accepted as factual by all parties and is a moot point anyway and is now nothing more than a forum for bashing each other's style. I will apologize to this user and see if that will make them happy and will try to offer an olive branch to all 3 of them to settle the issue, but I haven't said anything I'm ashamed of, I haven't made any personal attacks unrelated to the article or issues involved, and I haven't done anything that would be against the spirit of the rules; however, I can't say the same for their actions.--Bamadude 01:16, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

This complain concerns Adam Cuerden ‘s behavior in the talk page of Homeopathy. Adam Cuerden has been rude to me and other users and recently hided my new suggestion for a change in encyclopedia sentence clearly because he has a different point of view.

However, I will highlight some facts. I was arguing politely to change a sentence trying to modify the old one in an acceptable way from all the editors, to be more precise and to reflect a NPOV according to the wikipidia ’s policy.

I came up with a new suggestion and summarizing my old arguments and adding new data, I posted it.

Adam Cuerden told me that I could not understand what a scientific consensus is. I replied that we could use exactly the words of one of his cited references and if he thinks that his cited references are inaccurate or POV. It was a rhetorical question of course and he immediately hided my comments arguing that I have repeated the same arguments a dozen times. After I informed him that I would report his unacceptable behavior I asked where exactly I have repeated them. He did not reply so far 10/7/2007 2:15:54 AM (New York time).

Some other users also complained about him.

Some days ago he blocked my account for trying to add a POV tag. Typically he was right since I did not follow the 3-edit rule. Other users who agree with him reverted the edits, which we had agreed upon in the talk page with the main editor of the article. Their behavior was totally uncivil and I tried to protest about it, maybe not so elegantly. No action was taken to prevent this behavior of the other users. I reported the evidence to Tim Vickers describing all these. It is worth reading it to realize the situation. [4] Tim Vickers wrote him this message. [5]

Adam Cuerden has a poor record moderating discussions with other users; as well here are some examples.

Whatever attempt to put under dispute sign is reverted by some editors including Adam Cuerden . It is fair to be there protected until a consensus is reached. I agree. What is most scary is the talk page and the behavior issues. If an administrator tries to investigate, he/she will be surpised to discover that the rules of wikipedia dont apply and the atmosphere is almost pathological. Maybe it is like that in every controversial article and maybe thats why they say that the only way to find the truth is visiting the talk page of such an article. Please help / Advise me with recent edit war

I have been trying to add an external link to The Golden State Warriors blogs section. I have read the rules and it appears nothing is wrong with this. The subject matter is valid and informational and it does not violate any of the terms for external links. Only one individual continuously removed my attempts to add a valid external link that meets the guide lines. The entry in question was originally not even entered by myself but someone else who frequents the link in question. I only started to attempt to add the link again after Chrishomingtang repeatedly removed it. I suspect he must have some motive for this continued behavior? I only wish to follow the rules and as far as I can see I have been. If not please advise me what I need to do to meet the requirements for adding an external link without worrying it will constantly be removed.

Request to look over an article

Hi Daniel, Larrys Creek is going to be Today's Featured Article on Friday, October 19. Would you mind taking a look at it before then? I and some other editors have looked closely at it recently. Based on what we found, I have gone through and done a lot of little nitpicky cleanup edits, but would appreciate it if you could take a look. Your comments on White Deer Hole Creek were most helpful and I am sure there are some things here you might find that I have missed.

More specifically I was wondering about acres: should they be converted to hectares or to square kilometers? The article used to use square km for area throughout, but another editor switched any acres from square km to hectares recently (leaving square miles as square km). Also, on a slightly unrelated note to pick your geographer's brain, is "subtributaries" an acceptable word for a tributary of a tributary? (This came up in Plunketts Creek (Loyalsock Creek) describing small streams in the watershed).

I asked about that one in mid-July and was told the photographer, Julie Dennis Brothers, owns the rights (it's the same photo we had before, the book-jacket photo). I asked the photographer and got an emphatic "no" ("Why would I do that, I'd go out of business"), plus (later) an attempt to bill me for using it that seems to have been dropped when I explained how it was fair use.

Asking her people directly if I could take a picture of her myself didn't work, either ("She is not interested in working with you at this time").

Release dates

From my understanding, the release year for a film at Internet Movie Database is wholly conceived by them. I've often watched projects announced in Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, and there will usually be an IMDb entry within the week after the announcements. Basically, they just estimate when it would come out. Unfortunately, some editors take IMDb's release years as the truth and put in future film articles, "So-and-so will be released in 2008/2009." I've personally witnessed the updates as well -- Logan's Run used to be 2007, but now it's 2010. Fahrenheit 451 was 2007, now it's 2009. The Shadow says 2010, but Raimi, who plans to produce the film, has never specified when production would start. The Western film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford was released almost two years after production began due to conflicts in the editing process. I just checked the Internet Archive, and sure enough, it was shown as 2006 for some time. Even worse in terms of release dates, some studios announce a specific release date for a project and still have not entered production. Such an example is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time#Future film. Thus, because a release date is announced, does not mean an article should yet be warranted. WikiProject Films has notability guidelines for films which says that film articles should be created if the project enters production. This is pretty important because a film in development is not at all like the Olympics or a Presidential election, examples used by WP:CRYSTAL. Based on the nature of the film industry, it's not "nearly certain" for the event of a film being made to take place until it has entered production. There's a lot of obstacles before then, especially with the 2008 Hollywood strike coming up. When a film enters production, the notability is implied -- there will be a Plot section, a Cast section, a Production section, a Reception section, and so forth. A project like Big Momma's House 3 is highly questionable as it has no sign of entering production and warranting all the aforementioned sections. I keep a collection of headlines for future projects -- while they could be added in the source materials' articles, I don't want to expand my watchlist to watch one section of an article that will encounter edits in other sections. There's been some merges lately, such as Piranha (2008 film), Azazel (2009 film), Barbarella (2009 film), Beverly Hills Cop IV, The Boondock Saints: All Saints Day, etc. to adhere to the guideline in regard to projects that are not evidenced to go beyond their stubby nature. On the other hand, I've started All About Steve (film) and The Informers (film) as they are in production, using the production listing from The Hollywood Reporter. (I'm trying to line up future projects at User:Erik/FFW -- future film watchlist.)

I haven't had the occasion of writing a production history so long that it warranted a split (though Fight Club (film) could count, but I plan to do such a split preemptively with an interpretations sub-article, which would be an arduous task with all the academic sources to digest. If you need an extra pair of eyes to look over The Devil Wears Prada (film), let me know. Well, the image was put into Category:Images with no fair use rationale, which is where it would be deleted after a week if not corrected. I wasn't sure how the image was being used: saying "Fair use for New Coke" could imply that it was just being used for the New Coke image itself (which the public domain can image does) instead of for its advertising value that your fair use rationale indicated. Sorry. Also, I would include a link to the article the image is supposed to be used on. To try for Featured List status for NYS NHLs

Hi Daniel (cc Dmadeo). Please note improvements to List of National Historic Landmarks in New York. For one thing, it now sorts properly. Second, it is now complete (I found the missing NHL, St. Peter's Episcopal Church (Albany, New York). Take a look at checklist to reach Featured List status that I just drafted in its talk page. In general, our NYS and NYC list of NHL articles are the only ones that have had extensive involvement by more than one person. I have been browsing around all the state-specific list of NHLs articles, contributing in places and developing some of them on my own, but the NYS and NYC lists remain the best in some ways and I would like to help consolidate what we have done.

Would you be on board for pushing to get Featured List status? Personally I would like to go for FL for NYS, then later go for FL for List of NHLs in NYC after learning from the process. My first consideration for going for NYS first is that NYS NHL list has what i feel is nice integration with the State historic sites (and each article for an NHL which is also a SHS has appropriate indications), while NYC NHL list does not yet have nice integration with NYC Landmarks (and there is no good list of NYC landmarks available AFAIK). A second consideration is that achieving FL status for NYS first would be a bigger deal in some ways, it is covering a bigger number. A third consideration is that it would be more differentiated from the prior achievement of FL status by List of Chicago Landmarks which is the most similar Featured List. (BTW, I have issues with that article, think ours can be and is better in various ways.) Would you be on board, and what do you think is needed to get FL status? Please add to discussion in "Towards Featured List" new section of the Talk on NYS NHLs list article, where I drafted a checklist. About photos for the list, I just reviewed our status. I count 60 photos now (most by you!) vs. 87 no-photo entries. This is comparable to List of mammals of Canada, a FL with ~116 photos and ~85 no-photo entries by my count. We would not have a FL candidacy without the many photos you have taken, both by the number and the really great quality of your photos, but there does not need to be a photo for every entry in the table. The criteria states that the list should be complete (and not even that every item has to have an article, which we do have) and that there should be photos (but no stipulation that there should be one for each entry). I have done some browsing around in other FL's and the logs of their candidacy reviews. More such browsing would be helpful. doncram 16:44, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

I suspect we're counting differently, but I have 54 "no photo" entries in the NYS-but-not-NYC list, 17 "people" images and 9 HABS/other images. The archeological sites are hard to find on purpose, so I doubt we'll ever get those photos, Oliver Bronson house is in the middle of a prison, etc I've added everything I'm going to be able to get to in the near future, but I think we have a great article. dm 14:46, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

What's your source on "largest chain of paid weekly newspapers" in Sun Newspapers? Is that by circulation, staff size ... ? Criteria for NHL article rating / Joseph Priestly House

FYI, i visited the Joseph Priestley House article that you announced. It is obviously a nice article, but I downrated it to class=Stub for WP:NRHP, based on explanation I gave in its talk page. For a regular NRHP article I agree it would deserve "B" rating. But by the criteria for NHL articles that I proposed on Talk page for WP:NRHP, I am trying to encourage early referencing of the basic references for NHL articles (e.g. the NHL summary webpage + the NHL nomination and/or NRHP registration text and photos). The criteria I drafted are vague on writing quality; you are better at that. It would be great if you would comment / add to those criteria, to address the higher level concepts of what makes a B article. Anyhow, back to the NY NHLs for me. I have been identifying many articles for which HABS photos are available, and listing those in the Talk page to the NYS NHLs. And been making other article edits in this sweep, am up to number 50 out of 147 now.... doncram 02:00, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

As you are probably aware, the Joseph Priestley House article has since evolved and now includes the basic NRHP and NHL references, benefiting the article considerably in my view. It was indeed awkward arguing that the article merited only Stub status from wikiproject NRHP perspective, but I nonetheless feel that the proposed criteria pushing use of the basic references are useful, and I would go down the same path of rating a similar NHL article again now, just with more explanation of why I was giving it the low rating. Again, it would be nice if you would contribute to discussion on the proposed ratings of NHL articles at the WP:NRHP talk page. doncram 23:47, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Saw your additions. Yes, it is a v. nice photo of the Catskills, does suggest Hudson River School paintings. Glad you're able to work with what I put was able to glean, from HABS browsing, of other resources on Hudson River Historic District. Note that some of the HABS listings include data pages that have nice historical writeups. The NRHP document, by the way, is 65 pages and downloads okay for me. Its map provides a more definitive list of the main properties in the district; i think i identified all the HABS ones but there are more not covered by HABS. By the way, the last 2 pages is a list of 34 photos stated to be available at Hudson River Heritage, POB 287, Rhinebeck NY 12572. Perhaps you could get permission to see/use them. Oh, and there is an article useful for perspective about relative size of large NHLs, referenced in Butte-Anaconda Historic District. It mentions 4 or 5 larger districts than HRHD in terms of number of structures (and doesn't mention HRHD). Actually in terms of area size, it's unclear whether Adirondack Park or Cape Krusenstern Archeological District in Alaska is the biggest NHL.

I think I won't be able to do very much in wikipedia for awhile, as will be travelling. I will be in Syracuse NY area for a week or so in December, will snap pics of some local RHPs there. Will look to get out to a Central NY NHL or two, but there are none very close by.

Don't sweat those proposals about ratings, they were about low level ratings and are not so important. Have had some productive discussions generated from them, in other pages for example Talk:List of National Historic Landmarks in California. Perhaps the best way to advance that discussion would be to bring the List of National Historic Landmarks in New York article through FL review, to really find out what is needed in these kind of list-tables of NHLs, whether added early on or later in the process. Your development of Hudson River Historic District and Top Cottage and otherwise is just great to keep at doing. I will get around to uploading all those HABS photos listed in Talk:List of National Historic Landmarks in New York, eventually, if no one else beats me to it. I came across a redlink for List of mountains in New York and decided to do something with it. I used the Adirondack and Catskill High Peaks articles by reference rather than by copying lists of Mtns in, both because they don't seem quite set in stone yet, and because it avoids having to do duplicate editing-- at some point, though, it might make sense to have a full(ish) list in one place.

This is my first experience of someone behaving like this, so this message may be a bit clumsy - please bear with me. As I am also actively involved in a content dispute concerning a section of Jokela school shooting with this user, you may want to double-check my facts.

As you blocked Bob Lee Swagger, do you think you could help us out with this IP-user: 88.195.14.243 (talk - contribs - blocks)?

At the moment this IP is behaving problematically mainly on Jokela school shooting, and the article's talk page documents their tone well. They has been warned five times on the IP's talk page and blocked once for 24 hours, in the end of October. They have a number of prior uncivil and disruptive behaviors, especially in connection to article Romani people (the talk page is quite tragic in places - search for "88.195" and "Swagger"). They also have some article interests in common with at least the blocked users listed below (who may all be one and the same or two different people - it's hard to say for sure).

"Cleanup" of NRHP Infoboxes

Your have recently "cleaned up" some infoboxes on articles I edited: Church of the Holy Comforter (Brownsville, Minnesota), Church of the Advent (Farmington, Minnesota) and Church of the Holy Comforter (Poughkeepsie, New York) by deleting info on additional names, present names and locations, etc. What is your rationale for this? All that is left is a one line title that gives little or no information. Where is it written that more information cannot be added to the name? Thanks for adding the image of the church in Poughkeepsie. It adds a lot, of course, to the article. I disagree with you on deleting the Anglicanism stub. The parish may have left the Episcopal Church, but it is still covered by the Anglicanism project. Hi. I see you gave him or her a final warning notice for vandalizing Beijing Capital International Airport. I am sure he been making the same edits to Chinese airport articles. But for Beijing Airport, I am concerned about him. For NW and UA, he added destinations that require a change of aircraft. For Continental, he also added New York as a destination from Beijing. Continental only flies to "Newark" which is in the state of New Jersey and "New York" which is in New York state itself. They are two totally different places. I have no intention of vandalism. Look at my contributions. What percentage were reverted? Just because I never bother to log in and edit from an IP doesnt make me a vandal. I CORRECTED the line used in that Simpsons episode from what the article INCORRECTLY said originally. Look at the transcript of the episode. If the intention of the evidently casual contributor who wrote that line into the article originally was to give a rough paraphrasing of the line, then it should not have quotes and should use an ellipsis in square brackets to represent redacted sections. I am a professional writer. I feel that you are too dismissive of my contribution. Wow, how many ways can you mess up on one single block? First, blocking someone for editing his talk page. Then suggest that one can be unblocked by editing the page.. which you then protect from editing. Why oh why do you even care what is on my IP's talk page? I'm clearly using this account to do my edits now... or I was until I was forced to reveal my IP address.

Make sure you run a checkuser on new accounts for that you can continue to "patrol" my oh so noxious "vandalism." You might want make sure that you share this information with User:Fogeltje... I'd hate for him to miss out on an opportunity to harass me.

You gave the user a final warning, but you may have not seen that the user blanked their talk page before you saw the report at AIV. Preventing IP users from removing warnings on their userpage

As the protecting admin, I'd like your take on this . Personally I think the best thing to have done in this particular situation would have been to simply remove all warnings, as it is clear from the contribuition history that the IP editor (whilst stubborn, rude, and annoying) was not actually a vandal. Re:Catskill Park map

Hi, for the map on Adirondack Park I made several versions in fact some with a blue line around it (available in the previous versions list on commons:Image:New York Adirondack.svg), so the user could choose which one he preferred. However I had forgotten that it is not possible to view the files in the history of an svg file with Internet Explorer. If you are using a different browser you may wish to check the page and see if one of the versions is better and revert to it, or you can replace it with another image you made. I will see about making the other maps, but it would seem the hard drive in my desktop PC has just died, which is very annoying, as all my software and files were on it, and some were not backed up.
