  The Kansas Barnstar
The Kansas Barnstar is awarded to editors to recognize significant contributions to Kansas-related aticles.
I can't believe anybody wants to go finding more citations to throw on the mountain of John Brown! Imagine what he would say if he saw the endless accolades and respect in all mediums today. I'd like to know your background and how I can help more, but we sure have Kansas in common! You work is superb. — Smuckola(talk) 20:33, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

Your email query

Thank you for your email. For a start, I'm surprised that you email me; this is something that new editors do who don't know that we generally communicate through talk pages. It seems you are a seasoned editor, so I'm not sure what that's all about. I also don't know what you talk about; there is no "Daily Tar Hell" article and if it's a spelling mistake, I see that there is an article The Daily Tar Heel. But I haven't edited that article. Would you mind providing a diff so that I can see what you mean? Please ping me when you reply. Schwede66 10:55, 6 June 2022 (UTC)

August 2022

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into War Memorial Museum. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Ost (talk) 09:27, 9 August 2022 (UTC)

You left out an Entire History on the indigenous people of Liberia. You left them out of of Liberian History completely. You gave all the credit to the American Colonization Society and the Americo Liberians. Are you mad or just lazy.

You left out an Entire History on the indigenous people of Liberia. You left them out of of Liberian History completely. You gave all the credit to the American Colonization Society and the Americo Liberians. Are you mad or just lazy. If you go to the YouTube Channel focus on Liberia, Historian Professor Kau Fahnbulleh breaks the entire history of Liberia down starting with Pre 1822 Liberia. You make the indigenous people look weak and it’s very racist to make Africans look that bad. The Grain Coast was a major Economic Hub and no European was able to successfully settle the Grain Coast until the ex slaves returned back to their home lands of West Africa. Your attempt is just to blame everything on the Black American settlers and not give any credit to the indigenous in their self determination until the Coup of 1979. This is just pour laziness and bias and This will be changed sir. Knewton140 (talk) 19:30, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

Citation formatting

I understand that you like to work with expanded citation formats. And I appreciate the work that you do. But according to MOS:CITEVAR, "[e]ditors should not attempt to change an article's established citation style merely on the grounds of personal preference, to make it match other articles, or without first seeking consensus for the change." When you use a citation format that is inconsistent with the rest of the citations in an article, especially one that is as large as American Colonization Society, you make it more difficult and unwieldy for other editors. We are in this together. Our work is a collective. There is no "my work" that supersedes "your work." Consistency is critical for the collective effort that is Wikipedia.
