Why do you revert my work
Why do you keep messing with my work on Monster Musume?Wizymon (talk) 06:46, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Wizymon: because Miia has been stated to be approximately 8 meters long, using {{Convert}} is sufficient. The figure you keep inserting is misleading, since, as CurlyWi says, it implies she is exactly 8 meters in length. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 13:06, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
Still
Regarding Monster Musume, I left in the part about "approximately" part; that's fair, right? Wizymon (talk) 13:13, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Wizymon: Yes, the "approximately" should stay. But what I don't understand is why you object to using {{convert}}. Why is that? G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 13:21, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
Because
Regarding Monster Musume
1. Take notice of the end result: it results in "metres" which is the Brittish standard whilst Wikipedia is founded in the U.S. which uses the American standard "meters".
2. The rest of the article is done in American standard.
3. "Convert" lacks precision.
4. The purpose of "Wikipedia" is equivalent to an online dictionary/thesaurus/atlas etc. thus is is expected to provide as much accurate/precise data as possible; how folks choose to use that data after they have it is on them; Wikipedia has done its job.
5. There those who are general and precise; by using the precise method, one satisfies both audiences. The general can truncate (computer programming math term) the decimal place and the precise folks can keep it. Wizymon (talk) 13:44, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Wizymon: Alright, I will try to respond to each one of your issue in turn:
- Per MOS:ENGVAR, Wikipedia doesn't care which English variant is used.
- That can be fixed by adding the
|sp=us
parameter to the {{convert}} template. - The figure given lacks precision, so it is not the place of Wikipedia to add precision where it does not exist.
- See #3 above; we can't provide them with incorrect information, no matter how they wish to use it outside Wikipedia.
- See #3 and #4.
- Also, please stop adding a new section to my talk page with every new comment: add any more comments inside this section, which can be done by clicking the [edit] link beside the section title. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 13:56, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
I would have s if I knew how to communicate without adding new sections. Also, how is exactly is |sp=us used? Wizymon (talk) 14:24, 12 August 2015 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion Query
Hello GS Palmer,
RE: Speedy Deletion of Kapok Hotel article
I've just received the above notice about an article I just started writing. It's my first article, so I'm now getting my feet wet in the Wikipedia work flow. Didn't realize the article needed to be written closer to completion before making it public. I will work on this and go through the sandbox first article tutorial.
Is it possible to start a brand new article on the same topic, once it's been flagged for deletion?
Notsirk (talk) 16:30, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, Kriston
- Yes, it is possible to recreate a deleted article. However, before you start over again, I suggest you read Wikipedia's notability policy and the related notability policy for companies, and consider whether your subject meets the requirements. If you believe it does, I suggest you create the article as a draft, either in the draft namespace or in your userspace, and then submit it for review via the articles for creation process, which will not only prevent it from being prematurely deleted, but will also allow you to get helpful feedback from other editors. Monster Musume
Please see WP:ENGLISH, and I quote, "The title of an article should generally use the version of the name of the subject which is most common in the English language". The official and most common English-language is Monster Monpiece: Everyday Life with Monster Girls. No English-language source refers to it as Monsutā Musume no Iru Nichijō.
Thus, I'd recommend changing the article back to my revision, and I'd also appreciate it if you were to provide a Wikipedia guideline to back up your argument. Thanks, Satellizer (´ ・ ω ・ `) 12:47, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Happy Attack Dog RfA
Hello,
The Teahouse is supposed to be a friendly, helpful place. When an editor who has pretty much zero chance of succeeding in an RfA asks why their self nomination has not transcluded properly, the friendly, helpful thing to do is to explain reality, not to dispatch them off into the fire pits. That is my view of kindness, at least. I do not want to pick a fight with you. What are your thoughts? Cullen328 Let's discuss it 07:02, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

MONSTER MUSUME
Hi.
I saw that you had reverted my changes on MONSTER MUSUME.
1) I still think that you're using the wrong word (authorized); I've checked the English-translated manga quite carefully, and the "marriage" changes in the Interspecies Cultural Exchange Accord have not yet been put into effect, so Kimihito is NOT authorized yet; Ms. Smith wants Kimihito to marry one of the girls as a test case (see Volume One and Volume Seven), so he is (as far as she is concerned) EXPECTED to marry one of them.
2) I don't understand why you seem to be offended by my using an exclamation point, I was using it to mark the humor in the situation that Kimihito is EXPECTED to marry one of the girls.
I hope you see and understand my view.
Regards, TonyPS214
- @TonyPS214: Wikipedia is not supposed to use humor, but rather objective, neutral summaries. This has been a constant problem with all of your summaries, and I intend to go through and re-write them sometime in the future. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 16:22, 29 September 2015 (UTC)

I created this entry 90 minutes ago. Give me some time to develop it... maybe a few hours. Thank you for removing the speedy deletion request. You may want to slow down on those if you add them so quickly after a page is created. Disambiguation link notification for March 26
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kiznaiver, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kadokawa. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
