While I see your point, and Pistorius was not convicted of "murder", he was found guilty of "homicide". I understand your reasoning, and I assume good faith here in your revert. help

i need help at apartheid. this is a very important article as it is supposed to give our children and ourselves a neutral and balanced view of what it is, how it came about and what it turned out to be etc. - The current precursors to, section is extremely well written, it is also marketing and not npov. It is also so well written that only college degree people can easily understand it... so, the pov has to be balanced and that will result in removals of sections as well as adding new sections... and the encyclopedic quality needs to be tweaked. Also, my own pov needs balancing... so, I am begging for any attention or even direction, etc. please? i do realise that this is probably extremely controversial, so i am doing the improvements on the chat page, but sofar with no feedback or direction. The onus is on the person adding new information to cite reliable sources supporting the information (see WP:UNSOURCED). Wikipedia has a very strict policy about this when it comes to articles about living people. Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia policies before making any further edits to the article. Reverting vs fixing

Please don't undo work with blanket reverts like this.[1] A superscript "notes 1" is obviously pretty awkward English. Just remove the faulty "s" next time.

In hindsight I could have posted a note on your talk page asking you to fix it and not do it again, but it was past my bedtime and the article needed fixing fast (it had been featured on the main page for over two hours with a red page error following edits you didn't explain in your edit summary). That was how my brain decided to fix it and let you know at the same time before my brain shut down for the night. I see I undid some other copy editing which was unintentional sorry. I understand your point, and I'm not taking it as an attack. I'm just sensing a tendency that established users will gladly blanket revert edits that contain coding snafus (instead of just tinkering the problem). For some reason, this is considered acceptable. I can't see that the same would be true for blanket reverts due to a few spelling errors. Just sayin'...

SA television series vs. programmes

Hi, I saw you created Category:South African television programmes. What is the intended difference between this category and the pre-existing Category:South African television series? Good Ol’factory ^(talk) 11:49, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

I couldn't find one under Category:Television programs by country so I created one. I ended up using the series one anyway when I found it, so I don't mind if you delete it. I thought it must be intended for a more general type of programme. HelenOnline 11:53, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

"Programmes" might be a more appropriate term to use for SA, I'm not sure—but I think the "series" one is essentially doing what the "programmes" one is meant to do. I don't want to change the existing category which seems quite established although I couldn't find it easily. Looking at Australia and New Zealand, I think "programmes" would covers other types of programmes such as TV films, documentaries and specials which we might not have needed yet. @Rui Gabriel Correia: I have Roberts' (5th ed.) and Newman's (4th ed.). Roberts' calls it "Rock Pigeon (Speckled Pigeon)" in English and "Kransduif (Bosduif)" in Afrikaans, together with its scientific name Columba guinea. Newman's only calls it "Rock Pigeon" together with its scientific name Columba guinea. HelenOnline 05:30, 11 October 2014 (UTC)

Helderberg Nature Reserve

It falls under the City of Cape Town municipality but is not in the City Bowl suburb of Cape Town. There are suburbs other than the City Bowl I would definitely consider to be in Cape Town but Somerset West which also falls under CCT municipality is a town in its own right so it gets a bit complicated. Rui Gabriel Correia according to its website: "The Helderberg Nature Reserve is located in Somerset West. It is owned and managed by the City of Cape Town with the support of the Friends of the Helderberg Nature Reserve. The Reserve reaches up as far as the cliff faces and the peaks above the Reserve are managed by Cape Nature." I think it would be most accurate to say it is in Somerset West. Your country needs more of you

Hi Helen, I've setup a style guide for anything South Africa people related. I noticed you've been doing a lot on South African people. Would you be interested in writing a style guide for future editors? The idea is to get more standardisation across these articles. The guide should be structured in the same way as the article layout, you can have a look at the one I started for government cabinets. Of course I also welcome your skills on the other style guides.

23andMe - Merge Sections?

You're active on the 23andMe article so I wanted to ask you since I didn't get any talk page feedback.

I think sections 'Founding', 'Underwriting', and maybe also 'Class action lawsuits' should be merged into one 'Company History' section. There just isn't much significant action at the corporate scale. I don't see a use for listing each stock transaction and executive departure. The Google connection is important to mention.

Hi Timetraveler3.14. I am editing very little these days and often from my mobile which is somewhat limiting. I haven't figured out how to access talk pages from the mobile app. I got here via Gmail. I don't have a problem with restructuring but don't see a reason to remove any info at this stage. The underwriting is important in my opinion. People generally are too focused on the product and customer price and not enough on what it is really costing to deliver and maintain. HelenOnline 08:38, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

And I can understand what the text says without the image. Also, showing Pistorius barechested and frowning on the cover looks too sensational and may not be encyclopedic.
