Car images

edit

Hello. Thanks for uploading so many public domain images of cars, some of them pretty professional looking. Finding 'free' images that can be used on Wikipedia is sometimes quite difficult, so it's great when a user such as yourself comes along. Given that you have marked them public domain, I presume that you took those photos yourself. If so, you might want to put something like "Photograph taken by User:Jagvar" on the image description pages. This is so we can be sure that they are in the public domain.

You might also consider uploading your images to Wikimedia Commons, a repository of multimedia that can be used by all of the Wiki projects. It's slightly more convoluted to upload images that way (you have to create another user account at Commons), but it means that if, say, a user on the German Wikipedia wants a photo of a particular car, he can get it without having to upload it again. SamH|Talk 12:15, 7 Feb 2005 (UTC)

No prob on the error - I make a ton of mistakes in identifying cars! A Virage shot would be awesome - I need to expand that article! I second the nod for uploading to the Commons instead of en.wikipedia - it takes no extra time or effort and is a much better place for images. --SFoskett July 6, 2005 19:51 (UTC)

Hello Jagvar!

Good work on all the recent edits on the car pages. It's good to see someone new making serious contributions to the automobile pages.

I did notice that very few of your edits have a summary. Can you start adding a quick summary when you modify a page? Without these, it can become a nightmare figuring out who made what changes, and it's sometimes necessary when trying to pin down facts or trace contributions.

Thanks! --Milkmandan 05:21, 2005 Feb 10 (UTC)

Good to hear back from you. I realize it can be pretty confusing around here—there are a lot of unwritten trends. I had a pretty hard time when I first started.
I'm sure you realize that we're all here at your disposal if you have any questions. Happy editing and good luck—if your previous edits are any indicator, then I'm certain you'll quickly become a very important member of the community. --Milkmandan 05:42, 2005 Feb 10 (UTC)

Thank you for the kind words about the SS Morro Castle page. You did a similarly outstanding job on the SS Noronic page. Congrats on that! I had not heard about the Noronic disaster before now. It's surprising (and sad) how many similarities there were with the SS Morro Castle disaster. Both disasters were caused by a combination of design problems and crew shortcomings. I guess there weren't as many lessons learned by the Morro Castle as there should have been. Thanks again, and best of luck with your next Wikipedia contributions. BartBenjamin Apr 8, 2005

Jagvar,

Hello! I saw your photo of one of my favorite cars, nice shot, don't think I've seen a yellow CSi before. But, the color balance was really wonky, so I tried to bring it back in line. Unfortunately, I uploaded a "new" version of the file as xxxxx.jpg instead of xxxxx.JPG, so now there are two versions out there. I re-linked the E31 CSi to the new image, but now it seems to appear as an image created by me, which was not my intention. If this is an issue, let me know and we can sort it out. Check out the new pic, though, it's a bit easier on the eyes.

Some Article Ideas

edit

Hey Patrick- I've been looking for article ideas, and I thought a few of them that I ran in to we might both be interested in. First, the Lehigh University page isn't as good as it could be (I took some pictures today that I'll be putting on there soon). The page on the Packard automobile company is a bit wacky... there's way too much text before the TOC and the history can be improved. Also, there should be a separate entry for James Ward Packard. I know these aren't your kind of cars, but it's Lehigh-related. There some information about early Packard cars in the lobby of Packard Lab. The Packard entry should really be a disambiguation between the company and the man, come to think of it. -Matt Casey 19:35, 18 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jagvar,

You say you like supercars but can't afford one. I drive a Toyota MR2, mark II, revision 2. It is as close as I can get to a Lotus Elise at the moment. The MR2 is slower with a more regular design. It is not a supercar. But they are really affordable and the t-bar roof is winterproof. It is a bloody lot faster than most cars around. Fun to drive. Stable, breaks with 0.9G. Luggage space is just enough for a two seater. One drawback. No dating the Olson twins simultanious. Does anyone out there knows a better affordable t-bar sportscar?

SS Morro Castle

edit

Jagvar,

Please note that I have submitted the article SS Morro Castle for Peer Review. The review page can be found here. It still requires quite a bit of work until it might qualify for Featured Article status, but this is the first step toward that goal. When time permits, I'd like to add more information about the ship itself, not just the disaster. I'd also like to find another source on the disaster, as the current article relies far too heavily on one source. Please feel free to add your own improvements to the article. It will only make it better. Thank you.

Question

edit

Jagvar why did you remove those gorgeous pictures of the New S8 and W12 A8 ???

Re: Image:TeenPeopleSept2003.jpg

edit

I guess you are correct because the article does reference the magazine, although I feel that using the image under a fair use rationale is weak claim. However, I won't remove it again. It is just that the fair use claim for magazine issues are so often abused. Take this hypothetical situation, if there was a magazine with Natalie Portman on the cover and that image was used on the Natalie Portman article, but the article made absolutely no reference to the magazine, it would not be a valid fair use claim. About Demographics

edit

Hi Jagvar, Thank you for your note. I'm very interested in the placement of Demographics. Could you tell me where I could find out more about Wiki traditions/standards/rules/whatever on placement of that section, or for that matter, anything else specifically style-related to the design of pages for localities? Thanks!Noroton 01:55, 6 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

More about Demographics

edit

Hi again, I asked RamMan, the creator of the rambot that originates the "geography" and "demographics" sections for each town and city, and his response didn't indicate that it matters to him where they go. I can't find anything else in Wikipedia that suggests keeping them up top, so at this point, I think those sections (at least demographics) should remain lower down on most pages.Noroton 00:18, 20 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Here's a copy of my question and his response on RamMan's discussion page:

Does it matter where in an article the "Demographics" and "Geography" sections go?

edit

Does it matter to the bot (that is, does it affect how well it works)? Does it matter to you -- that is, do you care, personally? Should there be a Wikipedia style rule or recommendation to keep them in a certain spot in each article that rambot creates? I ask all this because I've been moving these sections lower down on the page in the articles for several towns and cities in Fairfield County, Connecticut (see Darien, Connecticut for example). But now I'm being told that it's "Wikipedia style" to keep them up top. There's no such official style that I can find, and if there is going to be a universal "style" or even tradition, it seems to me that those sections should appear low in the article because other, less dry and more interesting sections are better left up top. If you agree with that, or even if you don't care, that helps my position. If you disagree, well, I'd still like to know. So ... whaddaya think? And thanks for creating rambot.Noroton 01:42, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Can't speak for the Ram-Man or Rambot, but personally I find those sections rather dry and think they ought to be at the bottom, just ahead of Refs, Exts, etc. If the article gets long, they're in the TOC for those who need to look up a fact. Now if there is some compelling or unique item in the demographics, or geography, then I'd have no problem with it earlier. But in that case it might be better to have that fact in its own section. Just my USD0.02.--J Clear 20:22, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

I won't be moving them, so if someone else reformats, I will leave the current ordering. The bot isn't intended to make those kinds of decisions, but to leave as much of the status quo in place. Ram-Man 11:50, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Don't get me wrong, it's a welcome addition to the article, just seems a bit odd to have a non-original colour being displayed in an encyclopedia article.

Image:A8 Coupe.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:A8 Coupe.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Wikiproject Automobiles Notification

edit

Hi Jagvar, you were on the list of members at WikiProject Automobiles and we are introducing a new way of listing members, as the old list was becoming too long. Our new method involves having all of our members in a category.

To add yourself to the category just add the userbox to your user page by putting {{Wiki Auto Project}} where you want the userbox. Alternatively if you don't like the userbox you can add [[Category:WikiProject Automobiles members|Jagvar]] to your userpage.

If you no longer wish to be a member of the project, simply don't add the userbox or category, there's no pressure. Thanks for your time, James086Talk | Contribs 04:03, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:550Mar.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:550Mar.JPG. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:15, 8 January 2007 (UTC). hey guy

edit

hey man, your car is looking sweet...but I like american ones better usually. Anyways I was looking at conversations on the wiki auto project page and someone brought up that the Infiniti G20 article had useful though superflous information on it. Like the paint codes. I could see why this would be in a owners manual perhaps, but not here. I saw that you tried to remove the paint codes only to have them resotred, so I removed the paint codes, only to have them restored. I was wondering if you could help me convince Zoli Elo of this.

Limiting Information

edit

I was wondering why you find it necessary to remove useful information from a particular article, such as the paint codes for the Infiniti G20. Last time I checked, this is a "free encyclopedia", and as long as information is relevant to a particular car (or any other subject) I'm not sure why it should be eliminated so it matches other similar articles. That doesn't make any sense to me.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that biased or non-cited information needs to be kept in check - but if one car's page has paint codes, and another's doesn't, does that mean that information suddenly becomes "superfluous"? When I was shopping for a G20, I happened to find those paint codes very helpful, as it was information that I couldn't find anywhere else. And your assumption that such information is the stuff of "owner's manuals" is incorrect. My car's owner's manual says nothing about the other colors available. Was it hurting Wikipedia or the G20 article itself to have said information included? Of course not. Unfortunately, even the most ideal, user-created Encyclopedia has to suffer from those who think that they rule the place or should go around regulating the information provided - even if it is useful to only a handful of folks out there...give me a break.

Last time I checked, a "real" encyclopedia, such as Britannica, doesn't even have individual car entries, much less entries for each manufacturer. In contrast, a "car encyclopedia", such as those books that focus on a particular era or manufacturer's history, tend to include the information that you would deem "superfluous" - because that info is important to car-nuts.--MackOSU 06:12, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Do whatever you want. There are two or three people who get all up-in-arms about the G20 article. I really don't care at this point. Jagvar 16:00, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image:Quattroporte I.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Quattroporte I.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:57_Fireflite.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 10:09, 7 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Ring Lady.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Killer rabbit.JPG)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Killer rabbit.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. I'm not sure what to make of it. I haven't seen much of Bull-Doser lately. Honestly, most of his edits have usually been questionable at best. All I can find on Google is that Toyota has invested in a company called Lattice.

I suppose the redirect will get deleted and that should be the end of it. That IP hasn't been active for a month. If Bull-Doser recreates the article he will need a very good explanation. --Sable232 01:15, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use Image:SuperV8.jpg

edit

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:SuperV8.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. High on a tree (talk) 00:44, 11 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 08:05, 17 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I added a detailed fair use rationale using {{Non-free use rationale}} so no one should bother about it again. However, there is still one thing missing: where exactly did the image come from? Do you happen to know? -- Ricky81682 (talk) 07:36, 9 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Schuppanlogo.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Schuppanlogo.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 05:20, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Template:User oceanliners

edit

A tag has been placed on Template:User oceanliners requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Schuppanlogo.JPG)

  Thanks for uploading Image:Schuppanlogo.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:A8 Coupe.JPG}

edit

Thank you for uploading Image:A8 Coupe.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Unspecified source for Image:Berlin_iii.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Berlin_iii.JPG.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:35, 23 April 2008 (UTC). File source problem with File:Redx5.JPG

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Redx5.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:32, 13 September 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --ARTEST4ECHO talk 21:32, 13 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Helenforrest.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Helenforrest.jpg. File permission problem with File:Bahamastar.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bahamastar.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 14:57, 25 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Audi Vice City.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Audi Vice City.JPG. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:57, 5 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of File:Lexington burning.JPG

edit

The file File:Lexington burning.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Multiple versions with source information already available on Commons:Category:Awful Conflagration of the Steam Boat Lexington

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  ★  Bigr Tex 19:13, 11 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Kiton

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kiton, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
