Thanks again for pointing me to the use of quarry as a Special:WantedCategories substitute. I made my own clone of your query, at https://quarry.wmflabs.org/query/30916, and it has been v useful.

I thought you might enjoy my all-time favourite wanted category.

This edit[3]] to Los Alamos National Laboratory placed it in Category:World War III on the National Register of Historic Places. Vandalism, but v funny. Echoes of Tom Lehrer's wonderful So Long, Mom (A Song for World War III)

Urtijëi or Ortisei?

Hey man, I saw ur edit on Adele Moroder, wanted to thank u, as well as discuss whether to completely change Ortisei to Urtijëi on all the other pages I translated on people from there. I know its a redirect but id rather have 1 and not something like Ortisei (now Urtijëi). yours truly Spaicol (talk) 23:44, 19 March 2019 (UTC)

@Spaicol: Thanks for the work you're doing on that stuff - is she Giorgio's grandmother or something? It's a really difficult question which has no general answer. It depends a lot on context - there's two main areas where this comes up. One is where a town's name has changed through time - Leningrad/Saint Petersburg or Bombay/Mumbai. It can feel weird to say that eg a British soldier in the 19th century lived/died in Mumbai, whereas it seems natural to refer to Bombay in that context - and Bombay is famous enough that most people will know that it is now Mumbai. There's an argument that for less famous name changes you should probably use the modern name that is more familiar to modern readers, there's no hard rule though. The other case is where a place has different names in different languages, such as Alto Adige/Südtirol or Basel/Bâle/Basle, where using one name or the other carries a lot of cultural significance (Derry/Londonderry is an example of different communities use different names, even within the same language). In these cases it's generally best to use the "official" Wikipedia name, as determined by the name of the main article. When I was looking at Adele Moroder, I wasn't sure whether Ortisei represented a historical or cultural variant so I thought it best to mention Urtijëi somewhere in the article. Relying on a wikilink to the redirect is an OK way to do it, I just like to see the standard Wiki name spelled out. I accept that putting it in the born/died bit is very inelegant, but there were no other mentions of the town I could use, perhaps if you added another mention of Ortisei in the main body of the article the Urtijëi could be moved there? That maybe doesn't answer your question directly, but hopefully you get an idea of what I was thinking of? Best wishes Le Deluge (talk) 01:06, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

Yeah, i gotcha, as I told you the article is just a translation from the Italian one, so i can maybe try figure out a way to include another mention for Ortisei/Urtijëi researching some stuffs, regarding Giorgio, I have no idea, I'm just on a roll translating articles related to Moroders page by page, like if I see one that looks interesting in Italian or one I need to continue my chain to get to another interesting one I just do it, if ur interested check out my user page, I listed the ones I wrote there. kisses Spaicol (talk) 01:23, 20 March 2019 (UTC) PS: I know Franz Tavella needs a little work both visually and organization wise... feels saddened man — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spaicol (talkcontribs) 01:26, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

About Mahabubur Rahaman

Why you deleted my reply? If you have do not have the guts to reply why you deleted the reply of mine? You are threatening me that you will ban my IP and Ban my account to use Wikipedia? "Editors with a COI, including paid editors, are expected to disclose it whenever they seek to change an affected article's content. Anyone editing for pay must disclose who is paying them, who the client is, and any other relevant affiliation; this is a requirement of the Wikimedia Foundation. Also, COI editors should not edit affected articles directly, but propose changes on article talk pages instead. " - This is what COI says. Thats why mentioned this.
