Hi Itsjustjody. You seem to be misunderstanding some very important things about Wikimedia Commons and the types of content it is able to host. Please see the posts I left for you at c:User talk:Itsjustjody for more details. Commons and Wikipedia are technically separate Wikimedia Foundation project and they each have their own respective policies and guidelines. Although there's a lot of overlapping in some cases when it comes to image and other media content, issues with files uploaded on Commons are best resolved over at Commons. Okay. So, I'm still confused about the use of the Walton Hotel Pic. May I use it?

Also, I was referencing some movies poster stills that are also in wikipedia Love Me Tender on the seymour page. Just to break up the text with some color. A bot took down those references as a copyright violation. But, it can't be a copyright if the pic us already used elsewhere in WP, right?

Please see the response I left of you at User talk:JJMC89#Content from another Wikipedia Page for more details about the film posters. How files may be used on Wikipedia depends largely upon how they're licensed and non-free content like movie posters, album covers, book covers, etc. has lots of restriction placed on how it may be used. As for the Walton Hotel Pic, you shouldn't really add it to the article until it's licensing issues have been sorted out. If you're unable to resolve the file's licensing issues, it will be deleted from Commons. Once it's deleted from Commons, a WP:BOT or human editor will end up removing it from any pages it's being used on Wikipedia. My suggestion to you would be to self-revert you edit to the Seymour article and wait until the issues on Commons are sorted out. The file can always been re-added if the file is kept by Commons. Finally, images licensing and use on Wikipedia can be tricky and it's easy to make mistakes. Mistakes are OK, but you probably should refrain from uploading any more images to Commons and then adding then to Wikipedia articles until the issues with you most recent uploads have been resolved. As I said mistakes are generally OK, but a pattern of repeatedly making the same mistake often leads to administrator intervention, which in turn can lead to an account being blocked. Commons administrators in particular will block accounts which continue to upload problematic files despite being warned. A file you previously uploaded to Commons was deleted in February as a copyright violation. As an isolated incident, such a thing isn't a big deal; however, if you tried to reupload the file again under a different name or made other similar mistakes with respect to other files you subsequently uploaded, a Commons administrator might feel that a more formal warning or even a block is needed to stop you from continuing to make the same mistake. If you're not sure about a file's copyright status, it's also best to ask for assistance at c:COM:VPC before uploading it to Commons. 2022 Court Reinstatement

@gene93k @marchjuly i get we all have a point in either cases but the fact still states that the law requested he makes an appeal within 4 days after he was sacked as governor by the federal high court and didn't specify that the appeal must be within the federal high court. The rule of the land didn's specify that his appear at the state high court is void and won't be accepted, that was why he was reinstated as the governor pending a final judgement.

This is what you need to discuss on the article’s talk page and establish a WP:CONSENSUS for. As I posted on your user talk page, you may be correct; however, you need to convince those disagreeing with you that you are. The end doesn’t justify the means when it comes to edit warring. So, if you continue to try and force these changes into the article, you will almost certainly end up being blocked by an administrator for edit warring no matter how right you might be. You’re a new account and might not be aware of Wikipedia’s various policies and guidelines, and that’s OK. Others are going to give you the benefit of doubt that your intentions are the good until you give them a reason to think otherwise. Michael Caruso musician photo

I disagree with your removal of this photo. It was uploaded by the photographer (Redacted) and has been there for several years as a profile picture. Paulhus15 (talk) 14:58, 20 March 2022 (UTC)

@Paulhus15: I didn't remove the photo. I only asked about it at c:COM:VPC#File:Michael Anthony Caruso.jpg. The photo was tagged for speedy deletion by another editor named c:User:Jeff G. (see c:User talk:Fragmentsforart#File:Michael Anthony Caruso.jpg) and then subsequently deleted by a Commons administrator named c:User:Túrelio. Once the file was deleted from Commons, it was removed by a bot from the Wikipedia article. If you feel an error was made, you can always post a message explaining why at c:User talk:Túrelio. For reference, though, the fact that a file has been used for a long time doesn't mean it's was uploaded under an acceptable or verifiable license; it could just as easily mean that no body bothered to check the file's licensing for a long time. The same image can essentially be seen used online as the cover art of a single by Caruso that was released more than two years prior to photo being uploaded to Commons, and almost always in such cases more formal verification is needed for such a file to be kept. So, if the photographer who took the photo had previously allowed it to be used for the cover art before they uploaded it to Commons, all they will likely need to do is follow the instructions given in c:COM:VRT#Licensing images: when do I contact VRT? and the file can be restored after VRT verification. -- Marchjuly (talk) 15:12, 20 March 2022 (UTC)

fyi, Mr Caruso is personal friends with the photographer who took the picture and I approached her to get a login and upload for him. It was picked at another time to go on his single of "Shoo Rah". If the photographer is the copyright holder of the photo and they want to upload it to Commons, they can. They just need to follow the instructions given at c:COM:VRT#Licensing images: when do I contact VRT? so that their c:COM:CONSENT can be verified. However, the single cover art was released two years before the file was uploaded to Commons; so, it's not clear how the photo could've been added later to the cover art. In addition, did you create the account c:User:Fragmentsforart to upload the photo? Did you post this at c:User talk:Fragmentsforart? -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:21, 20 March 2022 (UTC)

Waldorf, Maryland article

There are many Wikipedia articles about cities that show resident ethnic groups and cultures. They have lots of details and lots of pictures. That's because they are allowed to become full articles.

There is a tendency on Wikipedia (sometimes) to cut articles down to nothing. The articles end up, after being over-edited, with nothing but a few "fragments", "pieces" and nothing much left-- that really gives any meaningful picture of the place.

Wikipedia rules, taken to excess, were not their intended purpose. The purpose of Wikipedia is to create a quality encyclopedic article, not something "very short" that someone just reads in 30 seconds while they are doing 6 other things on their cell phone.

Waldorf Maryland is a diverse city of 85,000 people and deserves a full article, with plenty of photos.

For years, that Wikipedia "Waldorf Maryland" article was kept to about 5 paragraphs. What a waste.
