Vibro??

edit

Well, I'm not sure about the suffix; I think we should generalize it to Vibroweapons, as blades is more specific. Only, how much do you know about them? I don't doubt you at all, it's just that we can't make the article with only my limited knowledge. M o P 04:22, 23 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes Vibroweapons would be best. The 's' should stay because we're generalizing, but obviously some redirects can be made. As far as info goes, here are some links (many KOTOR text screenshots):
Aside from that, I could list some random stuff off from KOTOR, and I can continue my latest KOTOR playthrough. Remember that for an article, the amount of information needed is relative to how much information exists. This article won't be as long as the lightsaber one, but the information available warrants more than a short entry in a list. Also, would you like to have a draft first, either User:Xolatron/Vibroweapons or User:Master of Puppets/Vibroweapons, or just start the article? -Xol 22:16, 23 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Foxes are indeed cute :) — Deckiller 00:11, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well, to respond on your last comment, Master of Puppets, I'd have to disagree. Foxes are cute, but wolves are cwooter/booutifuler ;). By far. —Mirlen
You just can't see the inner beauty :P in that. Instead of imaginging those blood-dripping jaws when they kill, think about how they leave their food behind for the other animals, like the ravens to eat. There's inner beauty for you :), hehe. —Mirlen 00:25, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
You're just jealous :P. Methinks it blinds you from seeing that inner beauty ;). —Mirlen 00:41, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

It isn't cute? I love that picture, so comical. There's also several photos of the artic white fox too, pretty cute and huggable ^_^. Like this one—set with a pose and all :D. The wolf photos are pretty awesome too...like the sleeping one *HINTHINT* ;). Heh, anyway, if you want view the whole gallery, click here. Why, is cute too girly of a word to say? :P (Just teasing). But yeah, really adorable. I wonder if the photographer would let me use at least one of his photos if I asked nicely... —Mirlen 23:57, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Barnstar, OTR & PUA Review

edit

FYI. You may want to look and comment here: Wikipedia:Barnstar and award proposals/Proposed Changes. For your reference, the guidelines are referenced here: Barnstar Proposal Guidelines. Thanks -- evrik 18:40, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • I agree that some of the awards can be grouped. What is really needed is a reorganization of the page. Persoanlly, i think that that any award that makes it through the vetting should be a barnstar (especially the wikiproject stars), and the PUA page can be as anarchic as it wants to be. :) evrik 20:52, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Warning messages for vandalism

edit

Hi. I noticed that you actively revert vandalism to articles. Thanks!! I also noticed that in at least one case (Kingdom of Great Britain) you didn't leave a warning message on the vandal's talk page. I think it important to leave messages in almost every instance of even the most minor inappropriate edits for these (and probably other) reasons:

  • People just test-editing can be directed to the sandbox where they won't corrupt real articles.
  • Mischievious newcomers may stop if their first edits result in a polite request to behave.
  • Sysops can more quickly ban more serious vandals if they've already been warned a few times.

There are templates (documented on Wikipedia:Vandalism) that make it fairly easy to add messages, but if you revert vandalism regularly it can still be tedious. So I've made some vandal-warning tools that are documented at User:Kbh3rd/Vandal_warning_toolbox. A list of warnings can be added to that toolbox menu on the left whenever a user talk page is being edited so that the proper warning message is only a click away.

Thanks again for your help! --Kbh3rdtalk 20:52, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #1

edit
Reach out is a program aimed at allowing users to bring issues that they have had in Wikipedia to a listening, sympathetic and caring audience:
"No one can know how we feel if we do not say. We cannot expect to get understanding if we do not ask for it. No one will dispute that sometimes life's issues are too much for one person. It is fair to say that sometimes Wikipedia's problems fall under the same heading. This is a place where you can bring the bruises that can sometimes be got on this project for attention."
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them.
Note from the editor
Welcome to this new format of the Esperanza Newsletter, which came about during the last Advisory Council meeting - we hope you like it! The major changes are that each month, right after the Council meeting, this will be sent out and will include two featured programs and a sum up of the meeting. Also, it will be signed by all of the Advisory Council members, not just Celestianpower. Have an Esperanzial end of March, everyone!
  1. Future meetings are to be held monthly, not fortnightly as before.
  2. Bans and Access level changes (apart from autovoice) in the IRC channel are to be reported at the new log.
  3. In the IRC channel, there is going to be only one bot at a time.
  4. The charter requires members to have 150 edits and 2 weeks editing. Why this is the case will be clarified.
  5. A new Code of Conduct will be drafted by JoanneB and proposed to the Esperanza community.
  6. The NPA reform idea is to be dropped officially.
  7. Charter ammendments are to be discussed in future, not voted on.
  8. The Advisory Council is not going to be proposed to be expanded by the Advisory Council themselves, if others want to propose it, they will listen.
Signed...

Re: User:Karatloz

edit

I'm sorry; I seem to be having difficulty understanding. Am I looking at a cached version of his user page? When I look at User:Karatloz, all I see is "Okay, I used to mess around with wikipedia, calling people 'fuckers' and whatnot. Now I've found uncyclopedia.org is much better for that kind of hilarity. Now, I use this mostly for research, but I also contribute when I can. Mel Brooks' Terrorism Trilogy: Young bin Laden Blazing Carbombs Zarquawi: Dead and Loving It!" I don't see anything about waging war, and it looks like he's only edited his user page once in the last month. How did he react, and what is he reacting to? And I'm afraid I don't know how User:Tawker is involved. What role does he play? I'm sorry; I'm quite mystified by this whole matter. I hope you don't mind being patient with me and perhaps helping me to understand what is going on. And I'm glad you like the Enterprise! — Knowledge Seeker 08:11, 30 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Are you referring to this version? That's from April 22, 2005—11 months ago. Are you suggesting that you're expecting this spate of vandalism almost a year after he wrote that using a different account, and that blocking him for a week will somehow prevent it? This makes no sense to me. — Knowledge Seeker 03:02, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
In my opinion, if a block is made for inappropriate reasons, the failure of the blocked user to protest cannot be construed as justification for the block. I'm not sure we're communicating well, but if you have no input on the block, then I'm not certain what we are discussing; my concern is over User:Karatloz's block. I'd be happy to hear any further comments you have on this matter if you have any you wish to share. — Knowledge Seeker 04:16, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Christina Ritter Evidence of Validity

edit

Below is my evidence which makes this actress valid:

  • Also, IMdb backs up almost all the sites I've mentioned:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2091240/officialsites http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2091240/miscsites So I don't know why you say none are independent. In the data I've provided, she was not and extra, I must get that clear to you. An extra is someone with no lines or no character or no character name. She has all of that in her roles, so that part of this argument can be closed. Christina Ritter was credited, which means she was NOT an extra. Those names are used for credited people all the time. I read in film credits “Girl on Cell phone” that’s counts as credited, not an extra, no matter how unusual or detailed character ‘name’. Furthermore, out of 24 credits, she is small roles for only 7, while uncredited for only 4 and a voiceover for 3(which still counts as a perfectly normal credit. So I don’t know what you are getting at when you say she seems mostly like an extra. The Official site is NOT the only source as I have given eight sites that are sources as well as IMDb backing half of those. I have no idea what you are talking about when you say that all the others sites say their source is the Official site, because, on checking them, I have found no dictation whatsoever. So no, I will not note them as uncredited or unnamed because that is entirely untrue. User:Fame live4ever

  • They don't say anything right now because like thier page for Artemis Fowl, they are revamping her page. I know this because I e-mailed the support team in concern that she wasn't credited, and they replied that she is credited, they just needed to pull her page down until it could be fixed up. User:Fame live4ever
