Galion page edits

Thanks for the information on what to leave on the Galion page. There may be a few that I have done incorrectly this morning so I will expect a message for those. I do have a question as I am still doing research on the town but I have run across a picture of the founder of the town that I cannot find an image of that is on the internet. It is located in a book about the crawford county area that was printed in 1912. Nolenaw, That image and the text of that book is public domain under US laws and are ok to be used. If you are uploading the image please tag it with Template:PD-US. You could even use content from that book if you wanted too as long as it's properly referenced and the PD-notice template is used. A copy of the book is free to use on the Internet Archive too. Quick help

Hello, I was wondering if you could help me revert List of US Space Force installations back to its original state. Another user (in good faith) blanked and redirected the page to US Space Force. I "rollbacked" his/her edit (thinking it would undo the action in its entirety). An automated bot "fixed" the double redirect and placed the page back to other user's edit. I'm still trying to figure it out, so as to not start an "edit war" with a bot, I am requesting you bring the page page back to its original state. Thanks! Second opinion on potential massive serial copyright violator

Ruigeroeland came to my attention after a report at Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2021 February 21. Can these [1] [2] be rewritten in an original manner? See also Wikipedia:Contributor_copyright_investigations/Archive/Declined_2009-2013#Ruigeroeland.

Elli, A lot of these are older violations that come from journal pdfs that couldn't be read by the copyright detection software we had at the time. Thanks to copypatrol, which is very good for detecting journal violations, something like this happening on this massive of a scale is a much less common occurrence. Well, this is long overdue, but better late than never – thanks to Moneytrees and MER-C for finally getting it going. It did get seen sooner – MRG and several others were on it in 2010/2011, when CorenSearchBot was catching a number of problems (see this, for example) – but it looks as if the editor managed to stay under the radar after that. I took a quick look at a dozen or so when they were in your sandbox; most of the moth and butterfly article edits were additions of species lists, which aren't subject to copyright in the US. Hey, been working through this while trying to finish the Mondigomo CCI. There's definitely CV as early as this diff (anything reffed to this website from that diff for example). Most of the copying from that diff has since been removed in the near-500 revisions since, but at least one portion of the copied text survived till I reworded it today. There have been other instances of close para (I've reworded those) and copying (mostly those have been removed before today). Based on that, do you think it needs revdelling? I know you are cleaning possible copyvio by Mirisa56. I just want to know about World Meteorological Day as it seemed radical to delete the whole article. Hi. I think your comment may have caused an escalation in another place. Strictly speaking of course - at least on-Wiki - if no names or diffs are mentioned even if it may seem blatantly obvious to some, it's a case of 'If the cap fits' and theoretically no harm can claim to have been done. That said, I don't know if it is a good or bad thing that the party of interest is now aware they are under the magnifying glass, but there's certainly no smoke without a fire and there seems to be much more to it than meets the eye. I'm sure people will issue the correct apologies if it turns out they are wrong. I'll just point however, that simply doing my investigative job as an admin got me desysoped and I think that's why Redrose64, Ched, and Primefac had been exercising caution. Indefinite block

Actually the very reason I started editing en wikipedia was because I saw quite a lot of misinformation in Manipur related article.I was able to reach consensus on some article too and helped to correct some misinformation .It was indeed a great leap on wikipedia for me.I really understand now that I have been blocked due to copyright infringement to avoid disruption at wikipedia also I even thought at first you were helping someone which I now understand that is not the case .I even blamed others such as ChunnuBhai for my mistake and wrong doings.I sincerely apologize for that ꯂꯨꯋꯥꯡ (ꯆꯥ) 04:10, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

It's OK to take breaks for whatever reason, be it things at home or school/work. People will understand if you take a month off or so. Last year I took all of August off, and no one brought that up in my rfa. Speaking of rfa, my advice is slow down and wait until you're over prepared. Steps: After evaluating a requests and it's merits, go to Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/Instructions (there's also instructions on how to do this there), section Opening full investigations, fill in the name of the user (date of the current day if it's a real/sensitive name) in the box and click "Open a new investigation". Save the page thats opened (it should look like this) and then cut and paste the background in and remove any irrelevant text from the instructions; if the CCI is about images remove the text instructions, if the CCI is about text then remove the image instructions, if it involves both leave them alone. After that, go to the Contribution Surveyor or Image Surveyor and enter in the users user name, check or uncheck the boxes as you see fit (I highly recommend always unchecking minor edits, if the user reverted violations back in to articles you should leave that unchecked, if there were user/draft space violations leave that unchecked), then run the Survey. Paste in the result you get under the background section. If the listed articles go over 1000, make a subpage for those edits like I do here, and make another one for each thousand afterwards. If there is a sub page make a note about it on the main CCI page. After that's all done, add it to the CCIlist template and then wait for MER-C to come around and cull it. That's because the violations weren't very clear in that report. Looking further though I do see some from that user, there's one you can see right away at Dangerous (web series), so an investigation is probably warranted.
