Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mbongweni, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bizana (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of Batyele Luxer

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Batyele Luxer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Cahk (talk) 07:28, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Non-existent categories

edit

Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Mtamvuna River, please make sure that the category page actually exists. In some cases, it may be appropriate to create a new category in accordance with Wikipedia's categorization guidelines, but it is usually better to use the most specific available existing category. It is never appropriate to leave a page categorised in a non-existent category, i.e. one whose link displays in red. You may find it helpful to use the gadget HotCat, which tests whether a category exists before saving a change. Thank you. . --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 15:48, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Dladla Mshunqisi

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dladla Mshunqisi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Proposed deletion of Zoe Mthiyane

edit

The article Zoe Mthiyane has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Proposed deletion of Warren Masemola

edit

The article Warren Masemola has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject fails WP:NACTOR and WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ways to improve Mtamvuna Bridge

Hello, Mybelline,

Thank you for creating Mtamvuna Bridge.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

You will need to rewrite parts of the article where the text paraphrases the reference too closely.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Hughesdarren}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Hello, thank you for participating on South Africa Bridges list, I named it "Umtamvuna Mitchell Bridge" as I found some sources who called it only "Mitchell Bridge" (for example [8])as I found others who called it only "Umtamvuna Mitchell". So I called it with these two names before someone could help us for the "official" name.
I don't live in South Africa so "according to google (!)", google street views shows only a panel with "Mtamvuna River" at the entrance of the bridge, and google maps confirms that 206 meters is the total lenght and not the span of the arch.
For your article, this bridge is not the longest single span in "South Africa", actually this is Bloukrans Bridge. Also when you say "largest steel suspension bridge in South Africa", I think it's wrong as the "Umtamvuna Mitchell Bridge" is an arch bridge type, to be more precise it's a "Steel truss through arch bridge" as the main structure who support the bridge is a steel truss arch. Also I don't think it used Corten Steel as it was not common in 1966, for me it's more regular steel
If you're really the author of the photo of this bridge, it would be a pleasure to have photos like this one on Wikipedia !
Best wishes from France, --Glabb (talk) 15:26, 23 April 2020 (UTC).Reply

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System. If the block is a CheckUser or Oversight block, was made by the Arbitration Committee or to enforce an arbitration decision (arbitration enforcement), or is unsuitable for public discussion, you should appeal to the Arbitration Committee.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.

Addendum You will also state a clearer understanding of the use of copyright. Wikipedia is the world's largest free content encyclopedia. As such, it cannot contain content copyrighted elsewhere. Such content must be removed immediately and completely rewritten and reformatted from scratch. Content published elsewhere copied into Wikipedia must state that it is public domain, licensed under the GFDL, or a creative commons license. That's the simple version. WP:copyright is a vastly complex issue, but if you keep to what I've written you are unlikely to run afoul.

Wikipedia cannot accept material copied from elsewhere, unless it explicitly and verifiably has been released to the world under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license or into the public domain and is written in an acceptable tonethis includes material that you own the copyright to. You should attribute content to outside sources, using citations, but copying and pasting or closely paraphrasing sources is not acceptable.

Content copied and pasted from a subject's web page is generally unhelpful. It is generally written in a promotional tone and is not independent of the subject. All content must be cited from reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and have a reputation for fact checking. Cheers, and happy editing. --Deep fried okra User talk:Deepfriedokra 20:41, 11 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
