Sumo

Hi, welcome to WikiProject Sumo! I saw that you have started a draft on Tsushimanada. There should be no problem in getting that approved; usually sekitori are notable enough for Wikipedia articles. I'll see if I can help with expanding and add some more references when I get a moment. Cheers, Pawnkingthree (talk) 14:03, 6 October 2022 (UTC)

Hi ! Thanks for noticing it, I mainly did Tsushimanada (Masamitsu) to add Dewanoumi's ozeki Draft:Tsushimanada Yakichi if you can also look it up :) no worries about the sources, I tried to find anything I could but it seems it's still too short because he just got promoted to Juryo. I'll try to get some homogenization work done on rikishi biographies/stable pages. See you ! OtharLuin (talk) 14:15, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
Ah, thanks for pointing that one out. There a few gaps in our coverage of ozeki - I think at least every 20th century one should have an article. Keep up the good work :) Pawnkingthree (talk) 14:44, 6 October 2022 (UTC)

Hakuho

I'm not sure if this is correct, as Hakuho didn't appear on the November 2021 banzuke - they just had 41 rikishi listed instead of 42 so his spot was effectively left blank. But he didn't retire until the after the September basho so it shouldn't really go in September either. I'm honestly not sure what the best way of doing it is. I might blank out the rank as a compromise. Pawnkingthree (talk) 13:46, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

Ok for me, he's listed as Y1E on sumo reference, that's a bizarre situation nonetheless. Sorry for the edit :) OtharLuin (talk) 14:07, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
No problem at all - it is indeed a very odd situation. We have seen blank spaces on banzukes on occasion and it's not easy to represent properly with the markup we have! -- Pawnkingthree (talk) 14:30, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

Tottori Jōhoku High School moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Tottori Jōhoku High School. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Reading Beans (talk) 19:58, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

As much as I understand the notability criteria for wikipedia articles, redirecting an article from the main page to the Draft space when it already contains nine references for a High School is a bit of an abuse, especially when you see the state of the education category in the Tottori Prefecture where you can find articles like Tottori College or Tottori University of Environmental Studies which don't seem to have any problem being accepted as notable without any references. You could have at least pointed out the parts that lacks, in your opinion, references... OtharLuin (talk) 20:12, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

Hiro Morita moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Hiro Morita, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 13:33, 18 March 2023 (UTC)

Hi! First of all, thanks for the attention given to my articles, even though I assume good faith and try to make solid articles I understand there is some points in which I need to deepen my Wiki knowledge. I reverted your Draft move on the Hiro Morita article, there's enough source to make a credible assumption about Morita's notability, even more considering the state of some other articles in the same catgories. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Makuuchi into Yokozuna Deliberation Council. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 15:28, 11 April 2023 (UTC)

I wasn't aware of that, thanks for reaching out and making the attribution OtharLuin (talk) 15:35, 11 April 2023 (UTC)

articles added to sumo active list

Hi I saw your note on my page about articles added or readded to the active rikishi list. I have been responsible for it's content and form for many a year so I appreciate the heads up - I am also the guy you contacted on Twitter for image requests, I am guessing you realized. 🤗 Could you let me know a few articles that were added (see also or?), just curious. Hello Four, I imagine you're looking for updates on the new wrestler articles? I've added Ōnosato Daiki, Kihō Tomotaka, Shishi Masaru, Tamashōhō Manpei and Kitanowaka Daisuke - hoping they'll all do well in the next banzuke 😄 - OtharLuin (talk) 05:59, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
