A note re TRAINWRECK
While TRAINWRECK outcomes at RfD are most common when someone bundles dozens of redirects together, they can also occur in smaller discussions if the nominated redirects are not sufficiently similar for the same solution to apply to all of them. In the case of Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2020_June_17#2020_virus, even though the set of redirects is small enough that we can expect editors to be able to properly assess each redirect, the ensuing !votes that recommend different actions for the different redirects can be a major headache to close properly. In this case I think I was able to come to a workable solution, but if there had been a few more votes the discussion could easily have become a no consensus mess. signed, Rosguill talk 21:10, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from NASA into Draft:Space program of the United States. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 15:49, 28 June 2020 (UTC)

MfD nomination of Template:User ABF
Template:User ABF, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Template:User ABF and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Template:User ABF during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Dictionnaire des canadianismes moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Dictionnaire des canadianismes, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thanks for signing up for this project. It is a very busy and active project with lots going on and we can always use more help and especially a fresh set of eyes. If you haven't done so already you might want to add Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aircraft to your watch list as this is where much of the background discussion occurs. You may also want to watch Wikipedia:New articles (Aircraft) as this is where newly created articles get listed for peer review. Having a look over these new articles is a great way to get a feel for how things are done on the project and also most new articles need reviewing anyway. If you have any questions you can leave me a note or post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aircraft, either way you will get a quick response. - Ahunt (talk) 14:01, 13 July 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I've noticed that you have made a number of responses to the GAN review of this article (please see WP:GAN/I#N4, which says you are welcome to work on an article when it is being reviewed). However, I would ask remind you that I am reviewing the article for the nominator User:The4lines and not you, so your responses to each of my comments or queries are unwanted. Please just go ahead and edit the article if you wish, but only comment on the review if you feel strongly about something.
By the way, it can be argued that your comment about placing SI units first is actually incorrect for this article, as it is US-based, so your edits may be reverted. Amitchell125 (talk) 08:38, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

Issue created by dividing current consensus list into sections
Hi Soumya! Dividing Wikipedia talk:WikiProject COVID-19/Current consensus into sections created a table of contents. However, that table of contents is now being displayed at pages like Talk:Coronavirus disease 2019, causing a formatting error. Could you look into trying to fix the error? (And roll back the sectioning if it can't be fixed?) Also, the numbering for current consensus lists is supposed to be permanent, since they are referred to in edit summaries, etc. {{u|Sdkb}} talk 00:10, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Harassment warning
This is pure harassment. The reason you give for deletion is spurious, as the page is no more like an article than many other userpages. Did you see where Kautilya3, after introducing the principles of dharma and the Kautilyas, says "I hope to stand up for these values on Wikipedia" on the page? There are other personal comments too. You are not a complete newbie — you have been here long enough to know better. If you harass Kautilya3 again (or anybody else), you will be blocked. Bishonen | tålk 08:55, 6 August 2020 (UTC).
- I am not harassing him, I just do not like the user pages that do not have any WP-related stuff. See my user page, where it has sufficient amount of WP-related stuff. --Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 08:57, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- That's a very disappointing reply. Userpages are not required to be "liked" by you, or to be just like your userpage. Also, Kautilya3's page does have Wikipedia-related stuff; I even quoted some of it in my question that you have completely ignored ("Did you see where Kautilya3, after introducing the principles of dharma and the Kautilyas, says "I hope to stand up for these values on Wikipedia" on the page?"). Please preview, consolidate, and summarize
Below are a few editing suggestions to make it easier for you and others to collaborate on the encyclopedia. Again, please preview, consolidate, and summarize your edits:
- Try to consolidate your edits, at least at the section level, to avoid cluttering the page's edit history; this makes it easier for your fellow editors to understand your intentions, and makes it easier for those monitoring activity on the article.
- The show preview button (beside the "publish changes" button) is helpful for this; use it to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits.
- Please remember to explain each edit with an edit summary (box above the "publish changes" button).
Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions. Eric talk 13:09, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:User page blue rounded
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Template:User page blue rounded requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2020_July_12#Template:User_page_rounded. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. My understanding of Wikipedia was formed both in the stated position of Wikipedia that: “Wikipedia is not a soapbox, an advertising platform, a vanity press, an experiment in anarchy or democracy, an indiscriminate collection of information, or a web directory. It is not a dictionary, a newspaper, or a collection of source documents,” as stated in Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. That “Wikipedia is written from a neutral point of view” as stated in Wikipedia:Five pillars. I appreciate the goal stated in Wikipedia:Neutral point of view “that all encyclopedic content on Wikipedia must be written from a neutral point of view (NPOV), which means representing fairly, proportionately, and, as far as possible, without editorial bias, all the significant views that have been published by reliable sources on a topic.” See: Wikipedia:Reliable sources. That as stated in Wikipedia:Reliable sources “Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published sources, making sure that all majority and significant minority views that have appeared in those sources are covered (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view).” That this stated goal is to be achieved through “verifiability”; “In the English Wikipedia, verifiability means other people using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a reliable source.” Wikipedia:Verifiability. That what the Wikipedia is not is clearly stated in Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. These are all goals I believe I have complied with in the article edits I have made. I also cannot ignore the fact that some other well connected editors in their superior status do not comply with these standards in that “verifiability” may be disregarded in deference to their opinions of what reality should be rather than is. Their ability to use Wikipedia as a “soapbox” for ill-verified or unverifiable opinions of what reality should be dominates. As the view of a few that they may overrule what any editor posts in compliance with a neutral point of view and reliable published sources, based only upon their personal whim of what reality should be, is found by Wikipedia to be superior to verifiable truth. Then I must accept that reality. Thank you Soumya-8974 for your invitation to contribute to Wikiproject Rocketry. As I do not believe that the Wikipedia shall treat my contributions based upon the principles stated in Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, nor Wikipedia: Reliable sources, and that some are not required to meet the standards stated in Wikipedia:Verifiability, and may impose their personal wishes in contravention to those principles, I must accept that. While I enjoy writing history I am not an egomaniac nor a masochist. I feel given the reality as opposed to the stated desires of Wikipedia I should decline further participation. Thank you. Hello
I am working on the Wikiproject: Musical Instruments, hoping to make it more active. It used to have something of a newsletter, long since defunct. I noticed your upcoming newsletter and am interested, to see what you find to put in it for content. I am mulling ideas for a newsletter and perhaps yours can be a model. Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Scottish Gaelic, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Your edit was in contradiction of the hidden comment regarding there being no official status and of what is said in the very article, compounded by blanking the hidden comment. You provided no support for your changes. This is actively disruptive. Mutt Lunker (talk) 17:38, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- I have reverted your edit and evoked WP:BRD to discuss about this. It should be held on the talk page of the article, not here. --Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 17:41, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- No, it was you that were bold, I reverted, the onus is on you to discuss your contested edit, as I am sure you are aware. Mutt Lunker (talk) 17:46, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Scottish Gaelic. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. WP:BRD. Do not war. Mutt Lunker (talk) 17:42, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

List of languages by religion moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, List of languages by religion, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. I am not convinced that this is a valid list in Wikipedia terms and it appears to be your own original research.
Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Do not edit your comments in discussions after others have replied
Do not edit your comments in discussions after others have responded to them, as you did with your nomination statement at the National capital territory RfD. See WP:TALK#REPLIED for the full guideline, but in short the reason for this is that it can (and in this case did) deprive subsequent comments of necessary context and alter the meaning and/or implication of other's words. This is just as serious an issue as editing other users' comments directly. Thryduulf (talk) 14:56, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
- What should I do instead? I have slightly changed my mind regarding my nomination. --Soumya-8974 (he) talk contribs subpages 14:57, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
- If you change your mind, WP:STRIKE it out. I have done this in the aforementioned RfD so you can see what that looks like. -- Tavix (talk) 16:33, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Azad Kashmir map
Greetings,
You updated the map of Azad Kashmir at Commons saying it was "to be consistent with other location maps", but do you mind elaborating on which other maps used on Wikipedia depict Indian-occupied Kashmir as part of Pakistan? This one doesn't, for example (yes, it hatches the area, but that's not the same as colouring it identically to Pakistan-administered areas as you did). Additionally, I would note that the map description clearly states that it represents the "de facto situation", which your new version patently does not.
I would appreciate some clarification on this matter. Sincerely, M Imtiaz (talk · contribs) 23:28, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
Please learn how to bundle nominations
Adding multiple nominations that have the exact same rationale and target page is disruptive and inconvenient for other editors. You've been warned several times about this before. Please learn how to group nominations together as to avoid cluttering the log page where they're made, and it also prevents other editors from submitting redundant !votes on each separate nomination. Speedy deletion nomination of User:UBX/CCP virus
Please do not create hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did at User:UBX/CCP virus. Doing so is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.
Sdrqaz (talk) 13:44, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

Unblock me
Sbb1413 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I have learned the lesson from this indef block, and I promise I will never express my racist view and never disrupt Wikipedia to make a point. I will comment on articles, not on contributors. I will respect others. Excluding minor changes, I will not contribute on controversial articles without prior discussions. I will boldly retarget redirects instead of putting them in RfD. I am here to improve an encyclopedia, not to destroy it. --Soumya-8974 (he) talk contribs subpages 17:34, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Far too soon to unblock. Considering how serious the problems were, the appeal fails to convince; see the ANI discussion here. I suggest you appeal again per WP:Standard offer in six months' time. Bishonen | tålk 13:14, 15 January 2021 (UTC).
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I will boldly retarget redirects instead of putting them in RfD
is severely missing the point of your RfD deficiencies. Boldness in retargeting should only be taken when a redirect is obviously not controversial, and I'm not confident you are familiar with when an action may be controversial.I will never express my racist view
: I don't think I have ever seen someone admit they are racist on Wikipedia, so I'm actually impressed with that admission. That being said, I think it would be more convincing to show how you are working on resolving the underlying cause of the racism rather then a promise to simply not express these views. -- Tavix (talk) 17:55, 14 January 2021 (UTC)- The issues with redirects are not solely nominating things at RfD that should be done boldly, making bold changes that should be nominated at RfD, proposing/boldy making changes that are not needed to be made and repeated misunderstandings of policies and guidelines despite them being explained multiple times. I would not be comfortable with you being unblocked without a topic ban from everything to do with redirects. Whichever admin chooses to review this unblock request should also consider the comments at AN/I regarding your contributions to the Kashmir topic area. Thryduulf (talk) 12:36, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you. Will re-appeal after 10 June. However, I am now contributing to other wikis, and watch whether my edits are disruptive after this block. --Soumya-8974 (he) talk contribs subpages 07:38, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
