DYK nomination of Mary Barber (natural historian)
editHello! Your submission of Mary Barber (natural historian) at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Yoninah (talk) 21:11, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
DYK for Mary Elizabeth Barber
editOn 15 November 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Mary Elizabeth Barber, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the collections of amateur natural historian Mary Elizabeth Barber may have influenced Charles Darwin's deliberations on the role of moths in orchid pollination? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
Contacting Editors from the Ada Lovelace Editathons
editHi Seirian Sumner,
I hope you don’t mind me contacting you via your talk page. I’m a new Editor to Wikipedia, part of a small research team based at the University of Birmingham in the UK. I’m getting in touch as we’re trying to contact all the Editors who were involved in the Ada Lovelace Editathons in Oxford or London. If you have been, or still are, involved in editing, whatever the scale of your involvement, we would be very grateful for the opportunity to talk to you about your experiences. In the first instance, we’ve set up a short (10 minute) survey, which you can access via my User Talk Pages. If you are interested in helping with our research project, please can you drop me a line?
Thanks, RuthPage (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 08:26, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
