Strawberryfire
Welcome to the Wikipedia!
editHello, and Welcome to the Wikipedia, Strawberryfire! Thanks for adding the Ron Paul Wikilink to the 9/11 conspiracy theories article. Hope you enjoy editing here and becoming a Wikipedian! Here are a few perfunctory tips to hasten your acculturation into the Wikipedia experience:
- Take a look at the Wikipedia Tutorial and Manual of Style.
- When you have time, you can peruse The five pillars of Wikipedia, and assume good faith, but keep in mind the unique style you brought to the Wiki!
- Always keep the notion of NPOV in mind, be respectful of others' POV, and remember your perspective on the meaning of neutrality is invaluable!
- If you need any help, post your question at the Help Desk.
- Explore, be bold in editing, and, above all else, have fun!
And some odds and ends: Boilerplate text, Brilliant prose, Cite your sources, Civility, Conflict resolution, How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Pages needing attention, Peer review, Policy Library, Utilities, Verifiability, Village pump, Wikiquette, and you can sign your name on any page by typing 4 tildes: ~~~~.
Best of luck, Strawberryfire, and most importantly, have fun! Ombudsman 21:49, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
Image:481956501 m.gif listed for deletion
edit—Kurieeto 13:31, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Strawberryfire, your arguments in favour of keeping the above image need to be posted at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion#April 22 in the sub-section devoted to that image, instead of at Talk:Ruthless stickers. Discussion at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion is what administrators take into consideration when they make the decision to delete/keep. All the best, Kurieeto 16:48, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Nlyng.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Nlyng.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:09, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- as you assert that this qualifies as a promo photo under fair use, you should probably user the {{promo}} tag. Just put {{promo}} in the text --rogerd 01:41, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- im sorry but....how exactly do i do that? Strawberryfire 20:56, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- just edit Image:Nlyng.jpg and add {{promo}} to the text and remove the {{untagged|month=May|day=24|year=2006}} text. I would do it, but it is better if it comes from the person asserting fair use. --rogerd 03:32, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

editOrphaned fair use image (Image:Adivina.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Adivina.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Mutantes2ndalbum.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Mutantes2ndalbum.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:17, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of At your funeral, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://lyricwiki.org/Saves_The_Day:At_Your_Funeral. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 04:16, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Please do not add lyrics to articles, as you did to the article At your funeral, as this is a copyright violation, and goes against Wikipedia's non-free content policy and general content policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Radiant chains (talk) 04:46, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
