Welcome!

Hello, Tyar, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Wikipedia is not the place for pages which attack other people, or for pages about people or organizations which are not notable or appropriate for an encycopedia. One rule of thumb is to never create a page about someone you know personally, as all info on wikipedia muct be verifiable, notable, and is reviewed by others. Lastly, blanking a page is not the same as deleting a page. Please do not blank pages as doing so is considered an act of vandalism. If you think a page should be deleted, feel free to participate by joining in on the discussion, but do not try and circumvent the process by arbitrarily blanking the page. --Bachrach44 18:08, 27 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

How?

edit

The only reason I blank is because I do not know how to delete. Can you tell me how to? Tyar

If it's an article you have created in its entirety, add {{db-author}} to the top of the article. You don't have the ability to delete articles, but this request will be granted in almost all cases. If someone else has created or contributed to the article, follow the instructions at WP:PROD or WP:AFD. NickelShoe (Talk) 19:55, 15 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Don't worry

edit

Don't worry, I wasn't accusing you of threatening anybody, it was just an example of something that you shouldn't do because you can't completely delete things from people's user pages once you put them there. It's also not a good idea to say that you have something to hide as it encourages people to go looking for it who wouldn't otherwise have cared.

Differences between the W.I.T.C.H. comic and animated series

edit

I heard that you were getting some grief over Differences between the W.I.T.C.H. comic and animated series from another user who's AFD'd it.

I've sourced and cited almost the entire page with the episode numbers and names for most of the differences. Would you mind checking through and seeing if you can remember any of the episode numbers that I have missed (for example, in which episode did Hay Lin first see Eric, and when was the name of Matt's band first mentioned?).

Wedding Saga

edit

Thanks for your comment on my talk page. I'm not taking a position on whether the article should be deleted, but I'm always glad to help with the procedure. Even if it is a hoax, that doesn't, technically, make it a speedy deletion candidate, but I'm sure the AfD will produce the right result before long. Tevildo 04:48, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Because...

edit

I didn't undo all of your contributions. It's true that I undid some of them like Caleb's description or Susan's because what you wrote was too long and that's why the article became too long as well.

Yes I undid some of them because for example: what you wrote about Caleb was not really necessary, I mean there are some sentences about him on that page and that is enough. But Caleb has an own page and if you want to write more about him do it on his page and not on the character page. It's the same with Susan. She has a very short article and there is a link on the character page that leads to this article, and that's why it is not necessary to write about her on the character page, instead try to expand her own page.

What you wrote about Khor was nearly the same like Mr Huggles' description, and that's the same with Matt/Shagon. This is the reason of I undid them. You made a lot of tables and I think it's good, but where there is just a link to Phobos' article or Cedric's, it's not necesssary to be a table. The lists of appearances you made take up much room and they are not really beautiful either.

The "Terturary Characters" were unnecessary also. There are a lot of small characters in the show and they sometimes only appear in one episode. And it's true that it's impossible write about them more than one or two sentences but they are so "little" that you don't need to bother them; and they took up much room, too.

But you had a lot of good contributions, for instance: Knickerbocker, Clubber, Kurt, Andrew Hornby, Aldarn, Drake etc... They were really good and I did not undo them just corrected them.

And I know sometimes it seems that I undid a lot of (almost all) your contributions but it is not really correct. I mean there were some occasions when I merged the two texts (the previous one and yours), and some of your sentences can be found in the current article now. I did this because I thought they had been good ones and it would have been a fool act if I had been deleted them totally.

I hope I could answer all of you questions but if I didn't, write me back. I know it can be a bad feeling when you see that someone edited the article what you worked on a lot, but believe me I did not want to hurt you and I did not want to ruin your work.

Finally I would like to ask you something: when you edit an article and you want to do a lot of edits, try to edit bigger parts of the page not just one little part of it. I mean you did a lot of edits for example in the "Secondary Characters: Meridian" part. And instead you would have used the [edit] link next to the main heading (Secondary Characters: Meridian), you used the lesser links when you edited Aldarn, Drake etc., and that's why there is a chaos in the article history because you nearly have a hundred edits on that page. It would have been easier if you had used the main heading's [edit] link and you would have had one edit instead of eight for example. Thank you.

Sorry for my english it's not correct and I wrote it hurriedly. I hope I was understandable but if I didn't write me back, and I will try to explain what you don't see. Blunk 18:11, 20 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Peter Lilov

edit

A tag has been placed on Peter Lilov requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Proposed deletion of David Bendersky

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article David Bendersky, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

Nonsense of Wikipedia:Articles for delection/Wedding Saga

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:Articles for delection/Wedding Saga, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
