Translation

I appreciate the effort to translate character descriptions but... "He used to be called a prodigy, but now he is a crane tail pilot. In Mist Dean, he is troubled with his own shelter." isn't even remotely correct. Please don't translate things unless you know how. --Tarage (talk) 07:38, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2017 Caroline Wozniacki tennis season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wang Qiang (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:19, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Be careful on the tennis season articles

Per Tennis Project Guidelines, seasonal articles are allowed "IF" a player has won a Major title. Wozniacki won her first major in 2018. Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 05:50, 16 February 2018 (UTC)

Re: Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!

Hi, your attempt at moving this article to This Light Novel is Amazing!‎ was reverted, and I'll explain why. First and foremost, it was ultimately an improper move as it did not preserve the history from the original name when you blanked that title and created it under the new name. Something like this should never be done, as outlined at WP:MV#Page histories. Second, this wasn't even appropriate in the first place, as that guidebook doesn't have an officially translated English title. It has never been released in English under an official title, so the book's romanized title is used instead.-- 07:31, 16 February 2018 (UTC)

Sockpuppetry

I don't create another account because I've had to put up with long-term abuse from a blocked editor. He went on an abusive rampage and got blocked for it. He blames me because I referred him to the admins. He's spent the last eighteen months periodically returning to harrass me. If I create a new account, I have to disclose that it's related to my old account, which makes it a target. He'll be back, deliberately disrupting as many articles as he can. I'd rather not see that happen, so I stay as an anonymous editor. 1.144.108.244 (talk) 11:03, 24 December 2018 (UTC)

Shanghai Metro Line 10 extension delayed until 2019

Do you have a source for this? Yes it is the end of 2018 so there is no way it will open as of 2018 and it is not completed. But I have only seen speculation regarding the delayed date, first half of 2019, last half of 2019, even 2020, do you have a source for delayed to 2019 opening? In regards to your edits in The Quintessential Quintuplets

Thanks for correcting my mistake in the article. Could you explain why she is one of the quintuplets? I never read it's manga. But according to Cambridge dictionary and other internet dictionaries, Quintuplet means one of the five children born at the same time. There is already five of them in that house. Where is she coming from?
Sincerely,
Masum Rezatalk 05:21, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

Masumrezarock100 One of the quintuplets disguises as Reina. This can be found at chapter 41 & 42. -- Unnamelessness 05:30, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

That means this Reina is one of the quintuplets. Do you know who she really is?
Sincerely,
Masum Rezatalk 05:35, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

Masumrezarock100 No, we don't know who she is according to the manga. -- Unnamelessness 05:57, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

This means we should remove this character and add this information to the real one's paragraph. Am I wrong?
Sincerely,
Masum Rezatalk 05:37, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

Beacuse we don't know who she is, we are not able to do that. -- Unnamelessness 05:57, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

I just want to ask you something. Are you an otaku or something like that?

I am sure you have watched the episode seven. I am wondering who is this Ebata? I just watched the English subtitled version. And Miku said something like that Ebata-san is Dad's secretary. Where is he/she coming from?(I don't know his/her gender)

Yes, from the latest chapter. -- Unnamelessness 02:22, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Maho Film

Hello Unnamelessness,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Maho Film for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Proposed deletion of Tear Studio

The article Tear Studio has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Provided sources are nowhere near meeting WP:ORGCRITE, searching online I was unable to find any coverage in Japanese, and only brief mentions in English anime press that didn't rise to the level of significant coverage.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 23:09, 28 July 2019 (UTC)

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

Autopatrolled granted

Hi Unnamelessness, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! ~Swarm~ {sting} 19:32, 21 April 2020 (UTC)

Naming consensus

Considering your interest in naming for anime seasons, there was a discussion a while ago I thought you may be intersted in reading: Talk:List of Toriko episodes/Archive 1 § Requested move 26 October 2019. Anime articles currently have a complex relationship with MOS:TV guidelines, and there is no clear consensus on how/if that should be resolved as of right now. — Goszei (talk) 06:31, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:November 2020 sports events in Italy

A tag has been placed on Category:November 2020 sports events in Italy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Code Geass

I have some thoughts after reading your suggestion. What do you think of List of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion episodes and List of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 episodes? Should we keep the title as it is or move them to other names, like Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2? -- Gervant of Shiganshina (talk) 14:53, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Gervant of Shiganshina I am not really a fan of "List of ... episodes" structure. Using their season names as article titles would be good, but first you need to get a consensus. Unnamelessness (talk) 23:09, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Tables

In relation to your edits here and here, you cite MOS:ACCESS and "accessability problems", however, there's no guideline explicitly speaking against merging columns. Here there is an explanatory supplement on how to use merged columns, but it does not explicitly state to not use them (rather, I'm using them correctly). Please explain what you mean by your edits. Sarcataclysmal (talk) 20:42, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Sarcataclysmal, When I say accessibility issues, I mean it causes information unreadable. You cannot merge two or more columns as one because they are directed by the same director and they are coincidentally listed together. That is a misuse of merging columns. Unnamelessness (talk) 01:55, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
I see your point, however that isn't exactly relevant to MOS:ACCESS. Sarcataclysmal (talk) 02:32, 11 October 2020 (UTC)

Station layouts

Just FYI, there's been multiple discussions on WP:TRAINS about station layouts and the general consensus seems to be leaning toward that no, articles shouldn't have them in most cases unless they're complicated in nature. However prose/text is fine as long as properly sourced. See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Trains/Archive: 2020#Closure of 2019 station layout RFC and Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Trains/Archive:_2019#RfC_about_station_layouts_and_exits. I'm not going to go ahead and conduct a mass deletion exercise but it's likely that someone else will in the near future. Heights(Want to talk?) 14:46, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

Heights, then remove it instead of noticing me so that there won't be other editors adding layouts because they exist on the other pages. While I appreciate your useful information, I don't like someone jumping out ahead of me to be a wikilawyer. Unnamelessness (talk) 03:03, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
That wasn't my intent, so I'm sorry if you view it that way. It's not a policy nor was a consensus really reached, it was merely a set of discussions, so that's why I was not going to carry out the exercise of doing it myself since I don't fully support it. I was merely mentioning it to you for you awareness as I noticed you have been making additions/changes to them recently. Since you're going ahead and doing so already you can feel free to continue. Wrong sources replaced. Unnamelessness (talk) 02:21, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you mean but just to be clear, I'm talking about this specific edit. I simply removed the ref name, as this source is not invoked anywhere else, so there is no point in keeping it. I also updated the link of the first episode as well as its archive by changing /index to /story01 because the /index would link to the most recent updated episode making the link to episode 1 wrongly linking to episode 2. I then proceded to add the right title of the source page of the website, moving the title to script-title, as it is a language that do not use a Latin-based alphabet and wikilinked the name of the website all of that by following the established Template:Cite web. I also added the directors and writer of episode 2 which can be found listed on the official website. So I'd appreciate if you please could pinpoint me where did I do wrong, and why do you think my edit should not be recovered. Thanks. 2A04:CEC0:10CB:C6B8:78EE:25C6:CAEB:B6EC (talk) 06:55, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
Not invoked anywhere else does not mean we cannot name it. This is for the consistency with the season 1 article. Url update is fine, but the source title is wrong. The then ref #10 had exactly the same source title with the then ref #7, which was incorrect. The source title should be its episode title, otherwise for every episode, you would've had exactly the same source title, which will be confusing ultimately. Unnamelessness (talk) 07:23, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
It will receive an individual ref for each episode. They are not the same one. Unnamelessness (talk) 07:25, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
There is no point in naming it, if we are not using it anywhere else and it's not because it was done so earlier that we can't correct it now. The purpose of the ref name is to use the same reference multiple times on the same page without re-creating it all the way. The source title is not wrong, it is indeed: "STORY|TVアニメ「五等分の花嫁∬」公式ホームページ|TBSテレビ" like I put it previously, where exactly do you see "第1話「今日と京都の凶と共」" stated to be the source title? Two different references can have the same name source, I don't see what's confusing about that as long as the url is correctly linking to the specific episode. Can you cite any guideline or manual of style stating that the title used should be its episode title? Template:Cite web specifically say about titles: "The title of the source page on the website; will display with quotation marks added. Usually found at the top of your web browser. Not the name of the website." 2A04:CEC0:11CB:F25C:6849:43A9:4C1A:F47A (talk) 08:00, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
We are free to name any ref. Which policy stated we cannot name the source until it is invoked twice?
Usually does not mean always, and at the top of your web browser does not mean in the browser window. It is not like a press release where the title of the press is the same as the browser window, the website has a different approach. As per Help:Citation Style 1#Titles and chapters, title means The title of the cited source. You will have to open the target page and duplicate the title in that page. This is also how we've done in the community. Unnamelessness (talk) 08:36, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
The ref names are not appearing in the article, just in the code, I never saw a ref name used on a single invoked reference because there is no point in doing so. In this case, the title in the browser window is correct as can be seen in the HTML source code of the page: "<title>STORY|TVアニメ「五等分の花嫁∬」公式ホームページ|TBSテレビ</title>" and is indeed rightly depicting the cited source. I don't see why the episode title would be considered as the title of the cited source, more than the title, the reference is showcasing the summary and the staff of the episode. This is also not like I've seen done in the community.2A04:CEC0:1185:C35F:AAF:2119:EF22:E56C (talk) 10:27, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

"The ref names are not appearing in the article, just in the code."

Where did you get this? Once again, "title" means "The title of the cited source". It has nothing to do with its code.

"I never saw a ref name used on a single invoked reference because there is no point in doing so."

See WP:OTHERCONTENT.

"In this case, the title in the browser window is correct as can be seen in the HTML source code of the page: "<title>STORY|TVアニメ「五等分の花嫁∬」公式ホームページ|TBSテレビ</title>" and is indeed rightly depicting the cited source."

The <title></title> HTML only defines the title of a document title. It is editable, resulting in the your-called title is able to change. But whatever how you change the code, the content itself DOES NOT change, the true title DOES NOT change. I would love to take this source as an example: The <title></title> parameter is "Funimation to Stream Dubs for Date A Live III, ENDRO!, The Quintessential Quintuplets Anime, More Star Blazers 2202", but I can simply change it to, let's say, "Funimation to Stream four anime productions", then the browser window also switches to "Funimation to Stream four anime productions". However, the true article title, which is IN the page, DOES NOT change, still "Funimation to Stream Dubs for Date A Live III, ENDRO!, The Quintessential Quintuplets Anime, More Star Blazers 2202". I kinda feel you are a bit the way around. I finish first, so I finish. That's the logic. Not because I finish, I finish first. Same here: the title is "Funimation to Stream Dubs for Date A Live III, ENDRO!, The Quintessential Quintuplets Anime, More Star Blazers 2202", so the <title></title> parameter is "Funimation to Stream Dubs for Date A Live III, ENDRO!, The Quintessential Quintuplets Anime, More Star Blazers 2202", instead of the <title></title> parameter is "Funimation to Stream Dubs for Date A Live III, ENDRO!, The Quintessential Quintuplets Anime, More Star Blazers 2202", so the title is "Funimation to Stream Dubs for Date A Live III, ENDRO!, The Quintessential Quintuplets Anime, More Star Blazers 2202".

"I don't see why the episode title would be considered as the title of the cited source, more than the title, the reference is showcasing the summary and the staff of the episode."

The episode title IS the summary of the story, (BTW, how the hell can the reference title showcase the staff anyway?) so I don't see any reason why they cannot be used as the title of the cited source. Not to mention it IS in the cited source. Unnamelessness (talk) 11:54, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

"Where did you get this?"

Nowhere on the page you can actually see this reference called "ep13", it only appears in the source code, which is pointless.

"See WP:OTHERCONTENT."

Well I could also use this against your first arguments stated above...
I don't get why you're talking about editing the source code of a web page on your device here, that's clearly not what I meant. Are you implying that I tried to insert a false title into the article? The original title of the official website page is: "<title>STORY|TVアニメ「五等分の花嫁∬」公式ホームページ|TBSテレビ</title>" and can be found on its source code which can be accessed by adding "view-source:" just before the url. And sorry but I'm not sure what you're trying to say at the end of your paragraph.

"The episode title IS the summary of the story"

No, the episode title is not the summary, the summary is written right under the title and the picture. I never said that the reference title should showcase the staff but that the cited source is not showcasing the episode title only, hence why we should simply use the original title of the cited source. 2A04:CEC0:10D9:1F70:19F5:9570:9BFA:B738 (talk) 14:56, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
I think I've explained enough to you, and I feel I am just wasting time, so this would be the last time:
a) We are FREE to name any reference.
b) The <title></title> parameter IS NOT the title. It is EDITABLE and DECIDED by its actual title, which is IN the cited source.
c) For every reference, they SHOULD have a different title. It is a long-term edit-consensus within the community.
d) The episode title IS the highly-concise summary of the story, or you will have to re-define what "episode title" means.
I will keep an eye on the article, and make some contributions when it is necessary. Unnamelessness (talk) 16:09, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
Yes you explained your vision of things, that doesn't mean you are right and didn't yet provided any sources to your "long-term edit-consensus" claims. The <title></title> parameter is the title and is not editable by whatever/whoever you're trying to say, it is defined by the staff in charge of the official website page. Template:Cite web explains where to find the title of the website and how to present it, you're just doing whatever you want without following any guideline, and just saying, "we should do this because it should be done like that and because I said so". 2A04:CEC0:10CE:BF5C:57BD:338E:5F28:27BE (talk) 16:47, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
I can simply press F12, select the <title></title> parameter, change it by clicking the keyboard, then it changes in the browser window. (I've practised it) FACTS that you can't change. The only difference is that it only applies in terms of this specific action; will default when re-opens. Moreover, Template:Cite web only explains what each parameter means and how to use each parameter; it IS NOT a guideline (not to mention a policy). Even you take it as a guideline, I've already explained to you why that is incorrect many times. And I am not like someone who stays as an anonymous user, looking like a sockpuppetry, and completely ignores the fact that every reference title is different, which is a long-term edit-consensus that exists for the last twenty years. Just please RESPECT it! Unnamelessness (talk) 02:47, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
I'm well aware about the fact that anyone can edit the source code on any web page but like you said, his edit will be seen only by him, not by others, so why are you talking about that? I'm talking about the original source code of the page written by the oficial staff maintaining the website, which can be seen by pressing CTRL+U in chrome. I'm not talking about editing the source code to change the title, but just copy the original title of the website as it is, untouched, what's so complicated about that? And what does my choice to contribute on Wikipedia anonymously, which is completely authorized by the way, has anyting to do with the topic? And why would that make me a sock puppet? Have I tried to impersonate someone else to support my arguments during this discussion? Please avoid deviating from the subject by assuming pointless accusations. The problem is that you're still failing to prove your points by reliable sources, the templates are indeed guidelines that should be respected by users and I'd be glad to respect yours if you were just able to present them to me. 2A04:CEC0:1094:F6CB:F189:CCD6:E4CA:6E44 (talk) 11:28, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

Clio

I think our viewpoints differ significantly enough that continuing to argue will not get us anywhere. Outside opinions are probably necessary to resolve this issue. I would like to be clear that I do not wish to be hostile towards you however. I do see significant value in many of your contributions and the details of presentation should not get in the way of that. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 13:15, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Rally pyramid space

Also, I just want to show that what few mainstream English-language sources I can find that discuss these rally pyramid cars do seem to use a space between the word "Rally" and the numeral, such as this BBC article or this article in a Northern Irish newspaper, rather than the idiosyncratic stylisation without the space. Regardless, I do not believe that such a usage constitutes original research, and would expect most independent, mainstream sources to use the space as that is standard English orthography. Since the stylisation used by the FIA has already been established in some articles, it should probably be kept in those articles per MOS:STYLERET; however I would expect that isolated usages of the stylisation in other articles would often be interpreted as a typo by other readers.
