Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Lucky Bisht, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Economic Times. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Cut and paste moves

[edit]

Hi Unsosctent. I'm not quite sure what you were doing with the page moves and copying of text between Tariq Khan (actor) and Tariq Khan (producer), but please don't do that again. That is not the right way to create a new page or to copy text from a previous revision of an article. Whenever you copy text from another Wikipedia page, you need to provide attribution in your edit summary by writing something like NOTE: The contents of this edit were copied from revision 123456789 of the existing Wikipedia article at [[Article name]]; see its history for attribution. Performing and then reverting a page move to create a redirect from that move is also not the right way to create a new page. MCE89 (talk) 11:07, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi MCE89,
I have separated the page, of Tariq Khan (actor) and Tariq Khan (producer), It was highjacked probably, but information was accurate and had several sources. Unsosctent (talk) 11:10, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Tariq Khan (actor) has worked on the movie "Kaya Palat" (very old movie).
and In 2024, Tariq Khan (producer) produced a movie with the same name, "Kaya Palat". The similarity in names has led to confusion among some people, as they are likely mistaking the two individuals with the same name and the movie title. Unsosctent (talk) 11:16, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Creating a new page about the subject of the hijacked page at Tariq Khan (producer) is fine, but that was not the right way to create it. If you wanted to split the two subjects the ideal way to do so would have been to request a history split, but it would have also been okay to copy the contents of the previous revision into a brand new page while providing attribution in your edit summary. Moving Tariq Khan (actor) to Tariq Khan (producer) and back again, then copying the contents of an earlier revision of the article in over the {{redirect from move}} created by your page moves, complicates the article history and doesn't provide the required attribution (see WP:CWW). Totally understand that this is complicated, so I don't blame you for not knowing exactly what to do in this situation! But in future you might want to consider asking for help at the Teahouse or the Help desk if you find something like this that you're not sure how to do.
