Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed that your edit on one of the first articles you worked on appears to have been carried out using a large language model (LLM), such as ChatGPT. While LLMs are powerful, machine-generated text often contains serious flaws. They may introduce bias, errors, plagiarism, libel, or even hoaxes. Specifically asking an LLM to "write a Wikipedia article" can sometimes cause the output to be outright fabrication, complete with fictitious references. For this reason, the use of AI tools for the creation or rewriting of article content, alongside their usage to generate images, sources or comments, save for a few exceptions, is generally prohibited. LLM-generated articles may be quickly deleted. If you are unsure about your wording, an alternative is to suggest it on the talk page for another volunteer to look at it. If you are creating a new article, you may use the Articles for Creation process to get feedback on your work.

As you get started editing Wikipedia, you may find the pages below to be helpful:

If you still have questions, there is the Teahouse, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page, and someone will be along to answer it shortly. In your messages, please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. Your submission at Articles for creation: Civil Defence (India) (August 24)

[edit]
Draft declined
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been reviewed but not accepted at this time.
Feedback
The reviewer, Nil NZ, left the following feedback:
This draft appears to contain text generated by a large language model (such as ChatGPT). You cannot use LLMs to generate article content.

LLM-generated pages with certain obvious signs of being machine generated may be deleted without notice.

Instead, only summarize in your own words a range of independent, reliable, published sources that discuss the subject.

See the advice page on large language models for more information.

Next steps

 • Edit Draft:Civil Defence (India) to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.
 • When you are ready to resubmit your draft for review, click the Resubmit button.
 • If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it may be deleted.

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: Your reason here ~~~~. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Hello. I am a new, genuine user attempting in good faith to create an encyclopedic draft for Civil Defence in India, as I am in service with Civil Defence. I am not running multiple accounts or evading any previous blocks. I initially struggled with sandbox formatting and unknowingly triggered an automated warning while formatting government citations, which I then tried to clean up. I apologize for any technical confusion my early edits caused. I kindly request an unblock so I can learn standard editing guidelines and contribute constructively through the AfC process. Thank you for your consideration. VU3UVI (talk) 04:13, 25 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Is the AR222 account yours? My use of the CheckUser tool indicates that it is. PhilKnight (talk) 05:14, 25 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Hello PhilKnight. Yes, AR222 was an account I previously created/used. I apologize for not disclosing this earlier; I created VU3UVI because [explain briefly, e.g., I wanted a fresh account matching my callsign / I lost access to the old account] and I did not realize creating a second account violated Wikipedia's multiple-account policies. I had no malicious intent to evade scrutiny or manipulate discussions. If unblocked, I will permanently abandon the AR222 account and stick strictly to this single account and the AfC draft submission process. Thank you for your consideration. Decline reason:

This unblock request appears to have been written by a chatbot using a large language model. The purpose of unblock requests is to determine whether you, the human operating this account, understand why you were blocked – not to test a chatbot's ability to tell us what we want to hear. A message written (or rewritten) by a chatbot can also cause you to sound like you're making empty promises. It is better to write the unblock request yourself. Please read through the guide to appealing blocks for more help. Yamla (talk) 14:59, 25 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

VU3UVI, why are there instructions from an LLM/chatbot/AI within your unblock request? Communication on Wikipedia should always be in your own words. If English is not your first language, and your fluency in English is not at the level at which you can communicate yourself, you should edit a Wikipedia project in a language you're more comfortable with. In fact, that other Wikipedia project is likely in far more need of contributors than English Wikipedia is.

In any case, unblock requests written by LLM are typically rejected without any consideration. If you didn't realize creating a second account was improper, then why did you say you did not use a second account? CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 14:25, 25 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Notes:

 • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
 • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:
