per source
per source for what ? see press release (http://dff.nic.in/writereaddata/Winners_of_63rd_NFA_2015.pdf) it did not mention language, and see press meet on you tube, it is not a multilingual film, you should either add Telugu or Tamil. You cannot add both, since it is not a multilingual film like Court or Ship of Thesius, means different language dialogues in the same film. Template replacement
Thanks for creating the Padma Bhushan Award templates. But I wonder why aren't you removing the earlier {{Padma Bhushan Awards}} added by Tachs? Splitting decade wise makes perfect sense just as removing the then useless earlier template. Solomon7968 16:46, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Solomon7968: Good idea. I will merge both and then will tag latter one for delete. - Vivvt (Talk) 18:24, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
- Per Wikipedia:Attribution we will need to retain the latter (as a redirect or otherwise). I also think it is better to keep the template as it is however the duplicate links should go. Solomon7968 05:02, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Solomon7968: seems daft to keep the short template. The detailed decade versions, complete with the summary line, is far more useful and if we retain both then people are likely to use both. For a single man I am surprisingly keen to declutter! I suppose this might be one for WT:INB prior to anything at WP:TFD. - Sitush (talk) 11:06, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
- Yes if people are going to use both then we could simply redirect the short template after merging. But that seems an unlikely possibility. Few have shown any attention to the active Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/Padma (do click the link if you haven't noticed it before). I just added the recent templates to the bottom there. Maybe we should have a dedicated participants section there to interest more contributors, what do you think? Padma Bhushan template
Hi, I can really appreciate the usefulness of your templates that break down the long list of Padma Bhushan winners into decades - you've recently added it at articles such as Yash Pal and Yashpal. However, since those templates include {{Padma Bhushan Awards}} as their last line, is there really any benefit at all in retaining and/or including the latter as a separate item in the articles? Is just seems like more clutter to me. - Sitush (talk) 22:12, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry. I see that you are addressing this. I should have read your talk page first! - Sitush (talk) 22:12, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Sitush: That's alright. - Vivvt (Talk) 10:16, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

If there is no page created in English Wikipedia, Can we give links to other language Wikipedia where already same page exists? --స్వరలాసిక (talk) 07:45, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
- We should not redirect user to other language wiki. User can click on language available on the left rail, if needed. If you can read and understand Tamil, I would suggest you to create an article and add the translated text. - Vivvt (Talk) 07:56, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

Template trick
What do you think of transcluding the {{Padma Bhushan Awards}} inside the decade wise split templates? I hadn't noticed any example of a template within a template here in the wiki previously so this might be a trendsetter! Solomon7968 16:23, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
- I note that, for example, in the Pulitzer Prize Fiction awards they are effectively transcluding {{PulitzerPrize Fiction footer}} in other templates although it is done with some tricky code to bypass the template within template visual effect. Solomon7968 23:40, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
- The other Pulitzer Prize "footer" templates are: {{PulitzerPrize BiographyorAutobiographyAuthors footer}}, {{PulitzerPrize General Non-Fiction footer}}, {{PulitzerPrize PoetryAuthors footer}}, {{PulitzerPrize DramaAuthors footer}}, {{PulitzerPrize Music footer}} (all with the exception of the history award). Solomon7968 23:51, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Solomon7968: I think we will have to move {{Padma Bhushan Awards}} template content to adjust per the PulitzerPrize footer templates and add it to the yearly templates. Let me give it a try once I am done creating and placing the new templates. Else it might break the pages where current template is being used. - Vivvt (Talk) 17:54, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- Yes there is the Category:Pulitzer Prize footer templates which we need to emulate. Btw no need to ping in the future, I will notice what you have to say here. Solomon7968 18:36, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- I have made the changes to the original template, moved it to footer and added to the new template. Let me know. - Vivvt (Talk) 15:24, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- I think the outgoing links from {{Padma Bhushan Awards footer}} should be to the templates instead of lists for bolding in the transcluded articles. And if you are planning to create similar templates for the Padma Shri Awards, I suggest you slow down a bit. First we need to cut down the sheer number of redlinks there otherwise some folks may make legit complaints about article clutter. Solomon7968 16:23, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- If we do that then there's no way user can go to the lists. We should let user navigate among lists and not template. Pulitzer has only one list article unlike Padma awards and thus single link at the template header is sufficient. We have decade-wise lists, so we need to navigate amongst them. Also, I will work on Padma Shri templates only once I am done cleaning the lists, which itself is a huge task and going to take lot of time. - Vivvt (Talk) 17:55, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah I agree with you. And I just realized that from an individual recipient article the templates in the footer won't be bold, it would be only from the individual template articles because they are transcluded in the former. So my earlier proposal really makes no sense. Solomon7968 05:19, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

K. M. Cherian
Hi mate! Thanks for removing the name of K. M. Cherian from the Padma Bhushan section of {{Padma Award winners of Kerala}}. But Dr. Cherian is a Padma Shri awardee (1991). Thought I should check with you before adding it back. Cheers! --jojo@nthony (talk) 08:26, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Tachs: I just checked the records again and found that K. M. Cherian was awarded Padma Shri in 1991 but credited to Tamil Nadu. I will restore his PS template but Kerala template entry seems incorrect to me. - Vivvt (Talk) 11:42, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
- You are right there. His award was for his medical services in Tamil Nadu. I included him in the template as he was born in Kerala and is a Malayali by ethnicity. Anyway, no injustice done as it gave me an opportunity to have a look at his article which needs a bit of clean up. May be I will try my little mite there one of these days. Thanks mate!! --jojo@nthony (talk) 16:26, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Padma Award lists
Hi Mate, Appreciate your work on Padma award lists but your recent reorganization by doing away with individual year listing, I feel, has not made it either editor-friendly or user-friendly. Felt like I should share my thoughts with you. Cheers !!--jojo@nthony (talk) 06:05, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Tachs: I was not keen on doing it but the ultimate aim about padma lists is to take them to FLCs. We received this comment multiple times that yearly lists are not suitable from some of the senior editors and FLC deleagets. So decided to align them per expectations. - Vivvt (Talk) 07:05, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message, mate. My main concern was editing the list was a bit messy which I experience regularly as I am involved in Padma awards article creation. But if the majority wants it that way, let it be. Cheers !!--jojo@nthony (talk) 07:13, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: List of Padma Shri Awards recipients from sports field
Hello Vivvt. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of List of Padma Shri Awards recipients from sports field, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The other article is specifically 1954-59. This one goes into the 1970s, so expands on the other one. . Thank you. GedUK 11:16, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

Desamuduru (soundtrack)
You merged the article with the film article but you didn't use the album cover. The file was deleted because of you. Can you re upload it?PhysicsScientist (talk) 23:46, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
- Do not revert the change just to use the album cover. - Vivvt (Talk) 12:34, 23 October 2016 (UTC)
- I didn't revert for album usage only. Why did you redirect the soundtracks?PhysicsScientist (talk) 23:43, 23 October 2016 (UTC)

SIIMA images
This sucks, but many uploaders of SIIMA images from Bollywood Hungama did not seem to realise that photographs of non-Indian events at the website are not free. As a result, I think there is going to have to be a genocide of such images at Commons. It's hard for me to nominate each SIIMA image individually for deletion, given there is no SIIMA category at Commons, but could you do something please? Kailash29792 (talk) 11:18, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
- If its about Commons, check with @Dharmadhyaksha: as he is an admin there. - Vivvt (Talk) 07:24, 28 November 2016 (UTC)

Merry Christmas 2016

I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
