Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:06, 17 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Duniya Ek Saraai.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Duniya Ek Saraai.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:19, 26 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Suman Kalyanpur.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Suman Kalyanpur.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 10:58, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:Kalyanji Virji Shah.jpg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Whpq (talk) 10:59, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Magroor (1950 film)

edit

The article Magroor (1950 film) has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ways to improve Naulakha Haar

Hello, Vrishchik,

Image license

Hello, how do you confirm/know that File:Suraiya.jpg is under CC SA license. The website you have mentioned as source seems to be a personal blog and does not mention image license or their image source details.
Same question for File:Chhabi Biswas.jpg. And File:Durga Khote.jpg., and several other images you have uploaded. Please do not add/replace any image until you clarify things, kindly. --Titodutta (talk) 11:02, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Karnail Rana.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Karnail Rana.jpg.

Thank you. Aspects (talk) 06:09, 21 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:Hasrat Jaipuri.jpg.

Proposed deletion of Biswabhusan Harichandan

edit

The article Biswabhusan Harichandan has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. ‡ Єl Cid of ᐺalencia ᐐT₳LKᐬ 18:35, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Bhubhananda Das.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bhubhananda Das.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without evidence of permission. Please take this opportunity to ensure that you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content.

While indefinitely does not mean forever, it does mean for the foreseeable future. You have a lengthy history of ignoring notices about copyright problems you've introduced at Wikipedia, and this edit suggests very strongly that you have absolutely no comprehension of what plagiarism is or what copyright violations are. So to protect damage to the encyclopedia, you have been blocked until you can, in your own words, explain your understanding about the following:

  1. What is a copyright?
  2. What sort of content is considered copyrighted?
  3. How do you know if material is copyrighted or free to use?
  4. If you are unclear on some of the nuances of Wikipedia's rules about including copyrighted materials, where at Wikipedia can you find answers to those questions? (For example, specific Wikipedia policy/guideline pages or places in the community where you could ask for help.)
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:34, 21 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Regarding this edit, I think I have given a proper source. If a particular critic (here Joginder Tuteja) writes in a certain manner, how can I change his statement? Yes, I've been initially warned about blocking but that was especially for image policy, which now I am aware of. If you look at my edit and the original source, it's not a word to word copy. If a certain source claims something, then isn't it our duty to use that information on a page? I have been editing for the past 32 months, contributing my share to the community and suddenly I'm slammed with a notice of indefinite block, not one, not two but three different alerts. Such things actually lowers the morale of an editor. Although it's not upto my judgment, the community will decide, but I just require one chance to edit my user page because that information is about me

Decline reason:

Proper sourcing is not relevant to your block. Your block is for copyright violations. Yamla (talk) 10:06, 23 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

If a particular critic (here Joginder Tuteja) writes in a certain manner, how can I change his statement? Um, it's a basic academic concept called "paraphrasing", which involves contemplation of the source material, parsing its meaning, then rewriting in one's own unique words. You didn't endeavor to do that in this edit when it is compared to the source. Your effort appears to be limited to converting "aam junta" to "masses". I can find the same thing here, where you appear to have stolen content from here. It looks to me like you're just regurgitating the press like a PR outlet. Who knows what a mess you've created with your careless disregard for other people's copyrights. Also, 32 months and you don't know that "super-hit" is meaningless, subjective hyperbole that doesn't belong in our film articles? That's Day 1 knowledge.
