November music

Welcome back! I uploaded pics (see places), on a mountain in the sun above the fog. - Madeleine Riffaud - remember. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:44, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you @Gerda Arendt I'm always surprised how similar the countryside of Germany can be to the countryside of the UK, it is a lovely picture. WormTT(talk) 13:48, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- I uploaded pics of a trip that was a 10-day celebration of a 16 November event, but the day was also when a dear friend died. We sang Hevenu shalom aleichem at his funeral yesterday, and it was good. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:50, 30 November 2024 (UTC)

editThank you for standing for arbitrator. I am far away from it all (travel, mourning), not in the mood, so just an informal question you can answer or ignore:
- Liviu Holender chose lieder by five composers whose music was banned by the Nazis—Schreker, Zemlinsky, Mahler, Korngold and Schönberg—for a recital at the Oper Frankfurt.
What does this 2024 DYK tell you about infoboxes for classical composers in 2024? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:17, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
FYI re recall rules
editGood luck in the ArbCom election. I hope and expect to see you returned to the Committee.
A minor comment on one of your answers: I believe the administrator recall procedures were changed so that a petition will remain open for 30 days after being filed, rather than 6 months. Best regards, Newyorkbrad (talk) 15:26, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks @Newyorkbrad. I'm glad that was changed, as I've noted 6 months is far too long. I'll update my comment, as I think the scenarios I mention in my answer do still need to be addressed. WormTT(talk) 15:30, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
Wiki page indexing
editHey I was wondering if you could index our wiki page We need an administrator to approve our page - so it can get indexed by Google if so I will gladly send the link please lmk if you can Defismylo (talk) 21:00, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Defismylo. The page Chai (software) has recently been approved as a draft and is in the main space, where it is referenced by a few other articles. I haven't checked if it's been patrolled - but by having an editor move it to the main space, it is "approved" in its current state. I will remind you that the purpose of Wikipedia is to be a repository of the sum of human knowledge - not a place for Google to index and give you better SEO. As such, we do not provide any SEO services, around indexing or other optimisation. The page is in the Wikipedia ecosystem now - It may end up indexed, but it may take some time. December music

November was rich in sadness and happiness for me, expressed in music. There are two composers on the Main page today, Siegfried Thiele and Aaron Copland. I find the response of my friend Jerome Kohl to a question on Copland's article talk promising. What do you think? -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:48, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
Invitation to provide feedback
editInspired by your re-RfA you he noted administrators don't get a lot of feedback or suggestions for improvement, I have decided to solicit feedback. I'm reaching out to you as you are currently one of the users I've selected as part of my recall process. I hope you will consider taking a few moments to fill out my feedback form. Clicking on the link will load the questions and create a new section on my user talk. Thanks for your consideration. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 16:32, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
