There are sources, as my beginning improvements to the Michigan section suggests. This is part of a larger effort to denude flag articles around the world. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Flag lists that should have been on Commons 7&6=thirteen (☎) 15:36, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

- Titus (dinosaur) (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs|google) AfD discussion
I have not added the find sources templates, as it seems somewhere between well sourced and over sourced. Currently over reliant on quotes, badly formatted, and a bit PROMO. CT55555 (talk) 20:36, 28 June 2022 (UTC)

- Doctor of Metaphysics (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs|google) AfD discussion - Adds relevant links
Hello all, I saw some of the work your group has done. I thought this might be the right place to see if there is a chance to improve this article so that it can remain in main space. I originally thought it could be redirected. I find people referring to themselves as a "Doctor of Metaphysics" as far back as 1843.
Background: I started an article for Helen Hadsell and that is where I came across the title. I saw people calling themselves by the title over the course of 300 years. Bottom line is I want our readers to be able to find information on the topic. So I am here to see if there is any help you can give toward showing this is a notable subject. Thank you. Bruxton (talk) 21:07, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

- Hypothetically, if it is redirected and merged, the content and the effort was worth it. WP:Preserve. And doing so might address the ethical conundrum. Win/win. So no worries. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 23:05, 9 July 2022 (UTC)

- British silent horror (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs|google) AfD discussion
What kind of research can we do to show that this is a relevant and or notable "sub-category". Apparently the horror genre may not have existed during the silent film era, so many films may have been mislabeled. Lightburst (talk) 16:59, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- Horror definitely existed during the silent film era. Nosferatu (1922), most famously. It's a matter of whether the above topic would more practically be covered in a Silent horror films article or a British horror films article, or something of those sorts. -Indy beetle (talk) 15:41, 15 July 2022 (UTC)

- Women_in_Yugoslavia (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs|google) AfD discussion
Two articles in two months, this is a record for me, but this seems like an important article that is in desperate need of improvement. It was almost unsourced, but I found sources for some of the quotes at least. Tags suggest problems with neutral point of view, which I don't agree with, I think that might be more about some people's discomfort connecting feminism with socialism, but it is fair that it's tagged as an essay due to the absence of citations. I think it could be improved by adding in line citations, and more content, and different perspectives if there are any.
User:MrsSnoozyTurtle implied I had canvassed the dinosaur article AfD below, which has been bothering me since, I don't understand why that was said, if I'm doing something wrong in process here, please someone say. I'm usually just an observer here, have only flagged a few articles so no expert on process.... CT55555 (talk) 14:04, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hello CT55555, thanks for taking on board my comment in the previous AfD. In the Women in Yugoslavia AfD you have abstained from !voting after posting it at ARS, so there is no concern here about WP:CANVASSING. Also, it is great to see the work you have put in to improve the article. Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 08:10, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
- I actually voted to keep Women in Yugoslavia before seeking help to improve the article here. I'm also actually not sure of my !keep vote, I see some valid reasons to delete, so keep thinking about it. Nonetheless, I welcome your advice on if you think I did something wrong with regards to the dinosaur article? CT55555 (talk) 12:29, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, CT55555 and I apologise for putting the WP:CANVASSING template on the dinosaur discussion. Although I don't agree with the practice of both !voting keep and posting the article to ARS, it was unfair to single out someone who isn't familiar with the ARS history.
- The Women in Yugoslavia article is indeed a tricky call. I've been mulling over it for a few days and am still conflicted about what the best thing to do here is. Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 08:08, 12 July 2022 (UTC)

- Wikipedia_talk:Article_Rescue_Squadron_–_Rescue_list/Archive_3#Canvassing is one of the many places I and others have had to argue with you over this. If someone is participating in an AFD of course they should vote if they have an opinion on what to do with it, regardless of which of the many Wikiprojects they posted to ask help finding sources or otherwise editing it. Please stop beating a dead horse, as the saying goes. WP:DEADHORSE. Posting the same ridiculous accusation, trying to convince people not to vote in an AFD they asked for help in when everyone else says there is nothing wrong with that, repeating yourself constantly and harassing someone making them think they did something wrong, is not acceptable behavior. Dream Focus 08:30, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- To add, it clearly causes other people displeasure and distress. When done consistently it is a classic hallmark of hounding and pointy behavior. ARS-as-Canvassing is a personal opinion, shared by a vocal minority of naysayers, that does not have consensus. If you believe it does have consensus, can you post where that discussion took place, and why WP:DISCUSSAFD (at WP:AFD) the squadron is a recognized outlet. There are no rules, policies or guidelines that say people are not allowed to vote in AfD regardless of where else on Wikipedia they have posted notification. Merely posting at ARS is not canvassing for Keep votes anymore than Delete votes, as we often see happening. -- GreenC 14:48, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- Dream Focus, that Talk Page shows a single reply to my comment, and then they didn't respond to any follow-up questions. To use it as evidence that I am "confused" about canvassing is quite misleading. Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 08:40, 15 July 2022 (UTC)

I just voted to delete. Article is about a writer who was active in the 1980s. Currently there is no evidence of notability. But there is unconfirmed content in the article that she wrote two plays(or maybe books?). If anyone can prove that to be true, she might get a pass at WP:CREATIVE. I'd love to be proven wrong and be able to change my vote. CT55555 (talk) 03:40, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- One of my first litmus tests for authors is LibraryThing ie. [1]. It's not a reliable source being crowed source, but that's what makes it valuable to see what the general population thinks in terms of number of holdings and rankings (LT has great stats). In this case we can see her most popular book is Teot's War which is ranked 188,542 among all books which is somewhat notable (most books rank in the millions) - enough evidence to keep looking. It was published in 1987 and seems to be a slow burner getting steady but low readership over time. One blog post called it "overlooked". There is one review by Fritz Leiber. Blood Storm has one review. Both in Locus. Not much for notability from the same magazine which normally reviews many books anyway. -- GreenC 06:02, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. I've searched in all the usual places for reviews, but could only find similar to the above. I got the same impression about the two possibly notable books, but only passing mentions or blog/fan-site type sources. CT55555 (talk) 21:00, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- Added a few more things and cleaned up a bit. Found a reliable source in Charles Gramlich who confirmed she is a "forgotten writer". Notable for being forgotten? Anyway, even if it's deleted the page will be cached somewhere like Deletionpedia not a total loss of effort. -- GreenC GreenC 00:29, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- Good work. I've scored out my delete as I reconsider. It is starting to look like her first book Teot's War is notable, which could give her a pass. I'm borderline weak keep. I also added some sources for verifiability, but don't do much for notability. CT55555 (talk) 00:56, 9 August 2022 (UTC)

We keep all manner of nonsense Youtubers and tiktokers with less notability or importance. IMO this project tends to regularly promote liberal Topics and shun conservative ones. - List of Nazi monuments in Canada (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs|google) AfD discussion
Obviously a sensitive topic, but that doesn't mean one that we should avoid. A lot of talk page discussion from editors who want to merge, rename and/or delete this, I hope people will take the time to read the discussion, the reliable sources and help improve the article further.
For the avoidance of doubt, indeed Canada has two monuments to a SS division and also one of a Nazi collaborator. I know that sounds unlikely, hence the topic's newsworthiness and notability . : CT55555

A trilogy: Mykhailo Korenovsky, Yan Dobronosov and a photo
- On the left is a notable photo of a notable person taken during a notable event. All good.
- On the right is a notable photo of a notable person's space taken during a notable event. Up for deleting, the photo, the biography and the article on the photographer.
I'm seeking help, because this photo, I think, might be the photo of the year. Proposals to delete the content or merge it into 2022–2023 Dnipro missile strikes miss the point, the point being that the photo was a lightning rod for the world to pay attention to the civilian casualties of the war in Ukraine. A bit like how the photo of the Death of Alan Kurdi changed the public awareness of the Syria conflict.
I have not found a good way to write about this without my work all being proposed for deletion. See:

This is an odd one. The article isn't in any danger of being deleted, so no real "rescue" issue. I just cannot find the nationality of the subject. And therefore I cannot add the correct WikiProjects, I cannot say she is a Belgium/American/British author, and I cannot add the usual categories, as they all require a nationality. - Unfortunately, you won't find sustained, independent coverage of the subject due to the plain fact that none exists; within the context of WP:N guidelines, she is a non-entity. The WP:FOLLOWING is much more troubling than the phrase "take a dump". Read up, based on our own policy page it is not even a PA WP:NPA#WHATIS. Lightburst (talk) 18:52, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Let's be very clear: so you think that what you did was OK, and what I've done in pointing it out is against policy? --Tryptofish (talk) 19:40, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

- Tryptofish you are not an unbiased arbiter where the ARS is concerned. (note: I have moved your comments out of the closed discussion) Lightburst (talk) 00:22, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- I have struck part of that per WP:NPA. --Tryptofish (talk) 22:40, 4 March 2023 (UTC)

- Henry Payne (cartoonist) (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs|google) AfD discussion
Prize winning cartoonist whose article needs some work. Lightburst (talk) 23:53, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
- "Some" work? The only source that I can find that focuses on him is this one by the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. Even so, it doesn't contain any biographical content; it's just an interview where Payne describes how political cartoons are made. — Nythar (💬-❄️) 23:59, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
- Good work on the cartoonist. I have added quite a bit to the article and a few other editors here have helped expand it. Great work! Lightburst (talk) 21:04, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

- Five Peaks Garden (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs|google) AfD discussion
This article needs some ambitious editors. Chinese garden located in Suzhou, China. Rather beautiful. Lightburst (talk) 18:52, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- I tried to get this one through DYK but I withdrew the nomination when it was clear that it was jammed up. Lightburst (talk) 21:07, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
