GeoJSON Maps in Infoboxes

I have been adding GeoJSON maps to infoboxes on various state routes, and there is a glitch above the map. For example, in New Jersey Route 3, above the GeoJSON map, there is text saying [[File: Wikimedia | © OpenStreetMap |290px|alt=]] Does anyone know how to get rid of the text? I can't find anything in the source for the page

@BMACS1002: See Template:Infobox road#Route information. map only expects a file name by default. You can say |map_custom=yes to allow your customized map parameter. PrimeHunter (talk) 01:47, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

@BMACS1002:, below is the format for placing the map that can be used to get ride of the extra border around the map inside the infobox:

How to delete my profile or you can say information about me from Wikipedia

Omer Eisar Wikipedia has articles, not profiles. If there is incorrect information in the article about you, please make a formal edit request on the article talk page. It isn't readily apparent to me what is incorrect, as the article is well cited. If you are Waqar Zaka, why is your username different? 331dot (talk) 00:37, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

Omer Eisar Generally articles are not removed just because the subject might not want one, as articles summarize what publicly accessible, independent reliable sources state. The one possibility is that you could argue he is not enough of a public figure; see WP:BLPCOMPLAIN. Since you state that you represent Mr. Zaka, you will need to read and comply with WP:COI and WP:PAID. And don't claim to be him if you are not. 331dot (talk) 12:08, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

I can provide you zaka's contact information so you can verify that is this Waqar zaka or not, through video call or any other way. its upto you now. It is not for the subject of an article to decide what information is shown on a page about themselves, as stated above. The article looks reasonably well sourced, so you would need to state what information is not correct, along with reliable sources that back up the claim. I found there are quite a few incredible and out of date information on your COMPUTEX article that might mislead the Wikipedia users. So I couldn't help making corrections at my best. Wikipedia is based on reliable, published sources, not someone's own knowledge or experience, and exists to provide neutral articles on its subjects, not to promote them. If you work for Computex you should not edit the article directly as you have a conflict of interest; instead, briefly propose your changes on the talk page. Hi Belin27. I see that you asked the question again, then immediately removed it as a duplicate. Wikipedia is not a business directory, and has no interest in what a company wants to say about itself. It reports what independent sources have written about the company. If there are some out-of-date statements in the article, please note the corrections you wish to make on the talk page of the article, with appropriate sources. An independent editor will then make the corrections for you. It would be best if you do not try to edit the article directly because of your WP:Conflict of interest and your WP:Paid status. I note that in the only independent source, Computex is not capitalised. The artice needs more independent sources. Dbfirs 08:50, 6 September 2019 (UTC)

Has it been decided that haunting information is no longer accepted?

If one checks the editing history of articles such as Larnach Castle or Waitomo Caves Hotel, referenced text relating to the claimed hauntings at these locations has been removed. The justifications given by the removers are that "there is no such thing as ghosts" or that such information is "supernatural silliness". Is it inappropriate to add verified claims of hauntings to articles about reportedly haunted locations?--114.23.252.56 (talk) 03:04, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

If claims of hauntings have been reported in reliable sources (see WP:RS), then those claims may be described in the article. However, the language must not assert that hauntings actually occurred, only that claims have been made. If editors disagree on this, then discuss it on the articles' talk pages. -Arch dude (talk) 04:02, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

Exporting Special:RecentChanges

I want to export the hundred most recent revisions from Special:RecentChanges into an MS Excel spreadsheet. How would I go about doing this? – Teratix ₵ 03:36, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

​If you only want the title, user, timestamp, and revision ID you can:

• Use this API request
• Copy the value of "recentchanges" (from [ to ] inclusive) into this website and export it as an Excel File

If you want the fields added_lines and removed_lines and similar you might need to write a script.

Kailash Gangrade

I had posted an article abour Shri Kailash Gangrade. HE was a prominent figure in Indian Classical Music. I had added the relevant references. viz Patrick Moutal, Ragini Triv3edi.

Mention of Kailash Gangrade is clearly made in these pages. Despite all this, the article was rejected by Dan arndt.

@Dafauti: The page was correctly declined at review as it was wholly unreferenced and not written in a style suitable for Wikipedia. Although some attempt has been made to address the issues and the page resubmitted, it will inevitably be rejected again as it is still inadequately referenced. Wikipedia cannot be used as a reference (see WP:UGC). Wikipedia reports on what has been written about a subject in independent secondary reliable sources and statements need to be correctly referenced. See WP:REFB for a guide to adding references and WP:RS for a guide to sources. There are a number of further links at your talk page which you should also study, together with WP:YFA. @Jpimpact: Hello, your question is on the wrong page (see notice at the top). However, replying here as it is not a complicated issue. An account cannot be deleted. Just stop using it. Page Inaccuracies

Trying to edit the above page by adding updated information including; Headteacher Name, Chair of Governors, Pupils on Roll as well as updating the main overview of the school. The reason given by the editor who removed your changes was that you didn’t provide sources to support your changes. I agree with them. Please do not put that content back a third time, unless you provide a reliable source. Roxy, the dog. wooF 14:47, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

Google search showing Wrong & Demeaning name of my University VC (Jadavpur University)

It shows search result on typing 'Jadavpur University Wikipedia' which has wrong metadata

Dear Wiki Editors, Please help in immediately correcting a page named 'Jadavpur University'. If you type in Google search 'Jadavpur University Wikipedia', the first result that shows have, VC names as 'Faisal khan' (wrong) and other info is wrong too. But once you click the link the correct data is showing. someone may have played with Metadata.

As an ALumni of this prestigious institute, I request you too help in correcting this immediately.

Seems like Google crawled the page in the middle of a vandalism spree ([1]). Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it. The error was corrected immediately, and Google will eventually re-index the page. If you want to expedite the process you will have to contact Google directly, we can't help with that. This is the tool you can use to instruct them to recrawl. I've wondered why we don't make a bot submit these requests while we wait on phab:T198965, Google can in some cases take weeks to recrawl (especially deleted pages since all incoming links to them now include &action=edit) – Thjarkur (talk) 16:55, 6 September 2019 (UTC)

Rosati-Kain High School Page Edits

Hello, someone is continuously putting inappropriate information in the last paragraph of the “History” section for Rosati-Kain High School’s Wikipedia page. They are writing about an alumnae named Kelly Hennemann who works at Jo-Ann Fabrics and she is a ”witch” to her employees. We are unsure who is writing this, but it has been edited into the R-K Page several times. If the frequency of the vandalism rises to a certain level, the page can be protected from editing by anonymous users for a time. This is generally done on a temporary basis to prevent more acute bouts of disruption. Requests to all the various forms of page protection can be filed at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. That said, I'm not an admin, but based on my experience an admin is unlikely to semi-protect based on the level of vandalism that has occurred there to date. You've done the right thing by reverting the vandalism yourself, and if you wish to continue to monitor changes to the page you might consider creating an account and adding the article to your watchlist to keep a better eye on it. But even without an account, if the disruption increases you are welcome to request some form of protection at WP:RFPP.
