Draft:Vicki Fraser

I, Danielgagnon888, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. Danielgagnon888 (talk) 11:30, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

  • @Danielgagnon888: the reason it gets deleted is because there is no changes going on to the page. We expect you to either edit the page to improve it, or if you think it is ready, to click on the submit button to get it assessed and possibly moved to be an article. However with the page as it was before being deleted, the references were all connected to the subject, eg publisher, sellers or a personal website. What we need is reliable references with substantial content from independent writers. This may be from a book review, a biography, obituary, educational journal ( or other magazine or newspaper). If you know of such sources that you could use, let me know here, and I will restore it so that you can add them to the page. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:19, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
  • @Graeme Bartlett: Ah, ok. Yes, I have several links to articles, including a couple interviews. I'll add those and resubmit. Thanks, Dan

Iranian American Women Foundation

Reason being there is no reason whatsoever to delete such an article. It is a rapidly growing prominent advocacy group with chapters in multiple cities across the United States. -2602:306:CC59:3560:79EC:618D:C6B0:9EBB (talk) 11:13, 27 July 2016 (UTC)

Quoted Reason for Deletion: "My own searches have found the same exact links that are listed here, trivial passing mentions that also include PR, none of it is substantial significant coverage needed for any applicably convincing notability." - User:Explicit

Reply: These are not "trivial passing mentions," on the contrary sources include articles and media coverage from across the United States on behalf of this group. Ranging from interviews with key personal regarding their objectives for their fellow communities to local news coverage of their events. It was up and unbothered for quite some time, and I have been trying to find the time to slowly chip away to add to it. Meanwhile, I have seen articles on Wikipedia with far less proper sourcing and media coverage, yet they are spared deletion. 2602:306:CC59:3560:79EC:618D:C6B0:9EBB (talk) 11:13, 27 July 2016 (UTC)

The draft was requested a speedy deletion by RHaworth because my draft appeared to be an advertisement. I contested the deletion saying that I would be more than willing to edit the page to standard. It was still deleted. I figured it would be saved in my sandbox or something, but I cant find it anywhere. Again, I have no problem editing it to standard, I just really dont want to have to find the sources over again. It took way too long to do the first time. @GeoffreyT2000: Which page's attribution are they needed for? Asking so that I can tell if a plain restore is necessary.Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 20:10, 29 July 2016 (UTC)
The page Chosen (Cast novel) was deleted to allow a move from Chosen (A House of Night novel) that was requested by Robsinden and done by Carlossuarez46. The former page was previously an article that became a redirect and the article was latter recreated under the latter title. The deleted revisions of Chosen (Cast novel) prior to the redirection should be restored to preserve attribution of only that article, not any other article. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 20:28, 29 July 2016 (UTC)
The page has two revisions that postdate the earliest edit to the page now moved there. Tony Rose

This article should not have been speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... Tony Rose is an NAACP Image Award Winner for Outstanding Literature. He has numerous European Gold Albums for his work with Prince Charles Alexander as the Manager and Co-Producer of Prince Charles Alexander and Prince Charles and the City Beat Band. He had three Production Deals with Virgin Records, Atlantic Records and Pavilion/CBS Records in the 80's, as well as one Gold and one Platinum Album for his work with the album "Merry Merry Christmas" by New Kids on the Block, for his work with Maurice Starr and New Kids on the Block, along with two Ampex Golden Reel Awards, also for his work with New Kids on the Block.

Thank you. If there is anything else you need to approve submission please let me know. Yvonne Rose

Most of the links submitted with the Tony Rose page do not work. Someone helped me put them in but they are no longer available. I tried to insert and repair the links myself but could not do it. I need to find someone to help me but in the meantime I am enclosing replacement links to be inserted which will attest for Tony Rose's notability as a Book Publisher, Author, Record Producer, Songwriter and Literary Awards Recipient. Um, OK. The page was deleted under PROD but for some reason there was an A7 tag on it as well - that for some reason didn't show on the preview of the deleted page when I looked at it. David Gerard, did you see the A7? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 08:39, 31 July 2016 (UTC)
I killed it as an expired PROD, the A7 was probably not the case (it asserts considerable notability). Either way, PRODs are without prejudice so a restoration is not a problem. But IMO as an editor, the article does need more third-party sourcing. @YMARI: I've restored it as Draft:Tony Rose, remember the stringent requirements of WP:BLP (basically, you should have a source for every claim) and that it clearly passes WP:NOTABILITY, and move it back to main article space when you're sure it's ready and people looking at it afresh will be clearly convinced - David Gerard (talk) 09:08, 31 July 2016 (UTC)

Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Captain Pawan Kumar, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Joe Decker (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. Another version of the article was deleted as G4 by Randykitty, if the previous AfD isn't overturned the later G4 probably should not either.Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 10:39, 31 July 2016 (UTC)

KoKo (computer virus)

Needed information was in the article. A relative of mine seemed to have an issue, of which helpful information was provided, when I last was able to view the article. I decided to look back, to find that information, to assist in the removal of KoKo virus from my relative's computer, and found the article no longer existed. The person who deleted the article spoke of opinions that information about computer viruses is not acceptable as Wikipedia content, as if it was encouragement for mischief. I only see it as informational content, that mainly serves to help someone who thinks they're infected, to identify that KoKo is truly what they have, and could potentially help them rid the virus. I do not recall there being code, so to help someone develope the virus and infect others, which, I agree, would be unacceptable for Wikipedia content. Still, if there were hacker-helping code there, it could certainly be edited out. Thank you for reading. -Dahson5 (talk) 14:21, 31 July 2016 (UTC)

Now that it has FIVE potential links, it will be easier to do this if it is placed in my user space than to start it from scratch. I tried to reinstate it myself, however, User:TenPoundHammer reverted me, so I have tried to initiate a discussion about the issue with little success. Instead of relisting the discussion to gain more feedback, it was deleted immediately. --Jax 0677 (talk) 13:09, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
  • You can consider this a soft delete, yes. But Jax, you're the one who requested deletion. Now you're requesting undeletion? Is this some kind of game to you? I would prefer someone else handle this from here on out. --BDD (talk) 13:12, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
  • Reply - @BDD:, this is no game. If you review User_talk:Jax_0677#Template:Jennifer_Nettles and the history of the template, I tried to implement this template with 5 links, but it got reverted by User:TenPoundHammer, who threatened to take the issue to ANI, which I also did here. I have placed a split tag on Template:Sugarland. If you look carefully, I said "Delete or instate navigation box with links to the 2 albums and 3 songs recorded by Jennifer Nettles". How am I supposed to start a discussion about getting this template initiated if I am being reverted without a TFD? It has been more than one year since the redirect was put in place. Per WP:G4, "It excludes pages that are not substantially identical to the deleted version, [or] pages to which the reason for the deletion no longer applies". --Jax 0677 (talk) 13:31, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
TenPoundHammer, care to comment? Why wasn't this just taken to TfD? --BDD (talk) 13:43, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
Reply - @TenPoundHammer:, to be perfectly clear, why wasn't "Template:Jennifer Nettles" taken to WP:TFD in calendar year 2016? --Jax 0677 (talk) 14:27, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
I didn't take it to TFD because I wasn't aware it'd been undeleted. Jax 0677 is clearly WP:TENDing here because this template is so precious to him, even though it can easily be merged to {{Sugarland}}. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 01:17, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
Reply - @TenPoundHammer:, if you look carefully, you will see that the template was not undeleted. I reinstated the template, and you reverted it to redirect to Template:Sugarland instead of taking it to WP:TFD. WP:G4, "excludes pages that are not substantially identical to the deleted version, [or] pages to which the reason for the deletion no longer applies". There is no evidence that I am tending, and no consensus in a TFD discussion defaults to keeping the template, not redirecting it like was done. There are now 5 links, and it would be easier if this template were undeleted, than for us to go through this entire dialogue. Template:Sugarland is getting kind of long, hence the reason for the split. So I ask again, WHY was "Template:Jennifer Nettles" redirected AFTER I PUT FIVE LINKS INSIDE OF IT instead of taken to TFD? --Jax 0677 (talk) 01:51, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
The user who responded at ANI was correct—this should've been taken to TfD. If TPH made such a threat, it's obviously inappropriate. --BDD (talk) 16:39, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
  • Reply - I mistakenly said "TFD", when I meant to say WP:RFD. TenPoundHammer should have taken the issue to WP:TFD after I made the 5 link template in 2016. When I filed at RFD, I said delete OR reinstate, in hopes that a discussion would take place, and that a relist would take place after one week if no discussion had occurred. I was told that WP:DR is for issues that cannot be resolved anywhere else. Again, no consensus defaults to "Keep". --Jax 0677 (talk) 16:49, 3 August 2016 (UTC)

Neville Goddard is a notable person. He has many books selling on one of the most popular websites https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=node%3D13431540011&field-keywords=Neville+Goddard&rh=n%3A13431540011%2Ck%3ANeville+Goddard -98.240.73.254 (talk) 03:51, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

  • It's expected that an author will put out work and have it published somewhere, especially nowadays when it's so easy (and in some cases smarter) to self-publish. You need to show where Goddard has received coverage in independent and reliable sources like newspapers and academic sources. I'll warn you, it's really difficult for religion themed works to gain coverage, especially self-published ones (as he has self-published at least part of his work), as either one in itself is something that doesn't typically gain a lot of coverage in places Wikipedia would consider a WP:RS. It doesn't mean that the work itself isn't good or is undeserving of coverage, it's just that there are so many self-published and/or religious works out there and most RS that would cover them have to be extremely selective. If you can find coverage to show that he's notable then JzG might be willing to overturn the AfD, but you'd have to show that coverage first. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:17, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

Done. I have reset the clock, which gives you seven days to add at least one reliable source to the article. When you have done that, you may remove the PROD-blp template at the top; but if the article is to be kept, it will need references showing significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources to establish notability. It was just a redirect to Coca-Cola; Edgar181? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 19:48, 4 August 2016 (UTC)
I deleted it 5 years ago as a recently created unused redirect from an implausible search term, a valid R3. What purpose does asking for it to be undeleted now serve? -- Ed (Edgar181) 20:21, 4 August 2016 (UTC)
Coca-Cola is actually a soft drink, the R3 is inactually valid. 2602:306:30AC:C1E0:BC08:FC8E:63A1:2885 (talk) 21:31, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

Film infoboxes

Both templates were merged into {{Infobox film}} per discussion at TfD, so they really shoud have been kept and redirected as the page histories are non-trivial and required for attribution. -PC78 (talk) 19:28, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

@PC78: Attribution for which pages? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 19:43, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
{{Infobox film}}, where they were merged to, surely? PC78 (talk) 19:48, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
That page has no recent edits that appear to be copied from the templates. Mayhaps at some earlier point something was copied there? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 19:52, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
This was all back in 2013, the merge discussion resulted in changes being made to the primary template back then. PC78 (talk) 20:05, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
Well, yes, but it doesn't seem like anything was copied to the Infobox film template, according to the history all edits in 2013 seem to be ordinary edits with no attribution-requiring ported-over changes. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 20:13, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
PC78 Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 21:25, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
Actually it looks like most of the code ended up becoming {{Infobox name module}} which is used as a sub-template, hopefully that clears things up a bit? Details of how the merge was carried out are at Template talk:Infobox film/Archive 23. But this all seems rather besides the point: bottom line is that the templates were merged, they have non-trivial history and discussion which is directly linked to the remaining templates and on that basis they should never have been deleted. I'm not sure what else I can say. PC78 (talk) 22:30, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

Generally speaking, attribution is needed for merged text - readable or markup. The merge under discussion there apparently involved additional functionality being added, not text or markup transferred over. It seems like some content from Template:Infobox Korean film and Template:Infobox Chinese film ended up in Template:Infobox name module, though. Thus I'll perform the restore as a protected attribution redirect for that page. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 22:44, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

Thanks, although that seems like a needlessly complicated way of doing things. PC78 (talk) 10:55, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

See also Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiAfrica/Stubs/Aaron Banda. There really is no content to "restore" here, there is no objection to anyone creating an article or draft on any of these subjects. Wikipedia:Article Incubator was retired, so I don't expect that resurrecting these page skeletons under that project will have much support. — xaosflux Talk 21:46, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

I just the original editors to be able to return and not find their stuff deleted. It's clear that just adding a sentence is enough so if like to add those. Sulky mulky (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:58, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

  • The user in question that created most of the pages (Michaelphoya) was alerted to at least some of the deletions via his talk page, so he would already be able to find out the reason why the pages were deleted. The same would be said for any of the other people whose pages were deleted. There's really no true value in putting an explanation for the deletion on every single deleted page, especially as these were apparently deleted because they had no content and for all practical purposes had gone stale and been ignored after their creation. All that's going to do is create something new to be deleted at MfD in the future. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 01:34, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
  • I'm marking this as a   Not done. It looks like this was something done by a WikiProject that appears to be only semi-active, considering that the notification of the MfD discussion was the first activity the talk page has seen since November 2015 - and even then the activity was pretty minor. There was no content worth restoring on the pages and the pages were effectively abandoned, making it relatively unlikely that the article creators would actually return to the pages. Even if they did, the page has a notification on the top saying that the page was deleted via MfD and gives them a link to said discussion, so there's already a notification of sorts at the top of the page.   Not done. It was deleted several times. The most recent version of the article, deleted in January, contained just one word "Prodapt", so there is no point in restoring it. The previous version, deleted in 2011, was deleted in accordance with WP:CSD#A7 (notability) and WP:CSD#G11 (promotion), so it's ineligible for restoration by request on this page.
